  1. Me too. Half an hour of my headphones in before I get home to the wife is just the ticket. Boss has decided that the commute is a bad thing though, so needing to fight to get heard when the topic of eventually going back to the office comes up.
  2. Thing is, everybody gets hung up on "normal" but it's a vague term really. "Normal" suggests to me going back to the way things were before March 2020 - there's no way anybody will be able to jump on a plane to literally anywhere in the world for months an months yet, or to go to some shitey nightclub and eat the face off some random. Pubs, cinemas, restaurants, full football stadiums are probably going to be a thing again fairly soon you'd think - probably on the proviso that things like table service, using an app to order/book are to be encouraged until most folk have their jab. Home visits will probably be back soon enough too. People simply won't abide by the policies needed for the zero COVID approach, as if they tried to impose them on, for example, people who want to visit their vaccinated, elderly parents then people would tell them to f**k off.
  3. Can relate to the dislike of working from home - especially when everybody else seems to push the narrative that it's the future ad to f**k with any dissenting voices. In our place they're willing to overlook a myriad of IT issues which are still ongoing since March, just because the boss doesn't like the commute. On the plus side, this new strain shouldn't affect the vaccines so therefore shouldn't affect the timeline out of this you wouldn't think. Keeping myself going with the thought of how wild the first few nights out/away days are going to be once this is in the bin.
  4. Good news. Jack and Hayes next although no immediate rush I guess. A fine change from the WM/Blunderwood era where we never seemed to look beyond the next transfer window.
