  1. I was wondering that too. Are the Midlands and possibly North Juniors remaining under the SJFA control?
  2. Has there been anything announced officially by any of the associations or even the clubs around the Midlands league? Sounds like they perhaps have a long way to go before getting anything in place. 21/22 still a realistic target for having this in place? I see a few leagues putting our start dates of mid July.
  3. Certain posters seemed to think the Midlands league was a done deal. Maybe not just as cut and dried then? FWE seem determined to go ahead with their application if this is correct. Like you say it could just be clubs covering themselves.
  4. So Forfar West End are willing to give up on derby matches, local teams, limited travelling and playing at Tier 6 to have a huge increase in travelling, loss of local matches and play at a lower tier? They must really want away!
  5. Makes sense. Like others have said before, fair play to Forfar West End for having enough about them to not just toe the party line. Sure it won't have won them much good grace with the blazers up there. They appear to have gone public despite knowing that however! Ruffled a few feathers? Seems to have been a call to action on behalf of the juniors just after FWE announced their intentions so at least it's got something moving whether that was their intention or not.
  6. Tayport were all ready to go to the East of Scotland as confirmed by their chairman publicly. Rumours now that they have shelved that over a preference to stay with the Tayside clubs and enter a Midlands League at tier 6 rather than a lower tier in the EOS. That's understandable but it makes Forfar West End's application to the EOS a little bit more confusing. No disrespect to FWE but they don't appear to have been at the forefront on change in the east region so why apply now and go public with it when they could just sit tight and tuck into a tier 6 Midlands League with the others?
  7. See that now. Cheers. Covering all bases I suppose then. Be interested to know the outcome of the Tayside clubs vote last month over their preference in pursuing a path North or South. Anyone any idea?
  8. Been told SJFA are meeting with the LL tonight. Things not worked out with the HL last week?
