Stirling Albion v Peterhead

Poor performance yet again last night, we seem to have lost the ability to pass the ball in the couple of games as we seem to prefer punting the ball up to MacDonald and he's clearly not suited to it. When we have looked likely to threaten in the last couple of weeks it's been when Morrisons on the ball but there's always two men on him looking to punt him in the air. Felt black was the only player to get pass marks, made some good interceptions and was the only player who tried to pass the ball about, I also felt the sending off was harsh. Caddis was woeful and probably our worst player out of a poor bunch. For peterheads goal it looked to me as if Mcgheachie was playing McAllister onside, so no complaints from me just now on that goal. -

August The first month has been decent and we find ourselves second behind queen of the South on goal difference, we've not been as sharp as I would like going forward, but we don't seem to be conceding alot of goals, so I'm not too bothered. Every game in September is away from home, so I expect our form to drop, but we should still be around the play-offs at the end of the month. -

Pre Season I decided to just skip through the friendlies as I couldn't be bothered with them, we managed to win every game in the betfred cup, which I was not expecting as Darren Smith, jake Pickard and Andy little were all injured, so we had to play 37 year old Peter MacDonald up front who done really well and we heavily rotated the team throughout the matches. -

I've made 9 signings over pre season and I've got rid of 6 players, I've made what I believe is our strongest 11 before any pre season matches have been played and i'm pretty confident that I will achieve success with this squad. -

Play-off final After all the hard work we had put in since I joined back in February and none of it would have mattered if we couldn't beat East Fife over two legs, my two biggest games in management so far. We were away from home for the first game, we quickly took a 4 goal lead thanks to doubles from my two signings jake Pickard and Jordan Brown, we looked set for a easy ride back into league 1, but Chris Duggan pulled one back just before half time and kyle Wilson scored at the start of the second, putting us under a bit of pressure, jake Pickard brought our confidence back up with six minutes to go putting us 5-2 up and we had a comfortable lead going into the home tie. In the second leg it took us a bit of time to get started, but Jordan Brown scored midway through the first half which all but confirmed our promotion and the pressure was off. We didn't stop scoring there but, we won a penalty before the half time whistle which jake Pickard converted and Darren Smith put the cherry on the cake with a late goal with 10 minutes to go. -

In the play-ofs we played cowdenbeath and in the first game we played in probably the craziest game I've ever seen as we won 6-5 after being 5-4 down with 10 minutes to go We won the second game 4-3 meaning we are into the final were we play East Fife over 2 legs. -

Going into the last game of the season, we had our fate in our own hands knowing that a draw would have been enough against stenhousemuir to make the play-offs. Could we do it?... -

3 have just went and won 3 games in a row, taking us up to second going into the last match, I'm pretty confident of us making the play-ofs now and it's stenhousemuir who are also battling for the plays-offs. Montrose have won the league. -

March March was a much better month results wise as we went unbeaten. We got a boost at the start of the month with Darren Smith, Callum Morrison and Andy little all coming back from injury which certainly helped us out as we started getting much better results, my defence looks like it will do until the end of the season, but I shouldn't have to make any drastic changes for next season. In the last game against Elgin we were 3-1 up going into added time, but somehow they managed to score 2 goals in the last 2 minutes, fitness is also something we lack. We are 5 points outside the play-offs with 4 games to go and I can't see us making them this season, but I think we're looking strong for next season. -

Pickards been quality for us and I put robinson in goals against cowden and he conceded 5 so I'll probably not be playing him again as I have a new keeper coming in next season once foden goes back to ross county. -

February We had a lot of poor results in February, but we are promising going forward with new signing jake Pickard scoring 8 goals in all competitions, it is clear, that it is defence where my problems lie, so I have 3 players signed for next season who should help us fix our problems at the back. We were unlucky not to get something out of the Dundee match and much to my suprise we were still in the irn bru cup but managed to concede 7 goals against raith rovers, the sooner the seasons over the better as I can actually bring some half decent players in. -
