F*ck it. @Small Bovine Maisonette, chuck me in the Vikings section please. Nothing like a sudden blast of rivalry to firmly fix a new sports team allegiance. Cheesehead c*nts.

To add: love that the Vikings play in purple. Big Fiorentina fan so there's a crossover. And....looked up the stadium: No bad. Bit modern. But nice view

What can I say? Phenomenal response here SBM. Let me address the Lions issue first. When I had initially considered all the teams, they were the primary contender. But there are two issues: firstly, I'm just not blown away by the idea of Detroit City itself. Would I want to visit? Sure. Would I want it to be the epicentre of my NFL attentions? Probably not. Secondly, they don't just seem to be miserable failures by chance - they seem to have completely unambitious management/ownership. Might be wrong on this, but think I'm going to sidestep them. Of the other teams you've mentioned, the ones that immediately jump out are the Browns, Vikings and Titans. Cardinals sound like they're getting a bit faddy, I'm not a big fan of Chicago-based teams in any sport, and Buffalo... well, I've been to Buffalo and I won't be going back. Of the remaining three - I'm strongly favouring the Vikings as I've always had a really strong urge to support a sports team from Minnesota/Wisconsin. But there's one last issue: Which team out of the Browns, Vikings and Titans has the best stadium? Perhaps this isn't a thing with football, but it's huge in baseball. This has killed the Ravens for me. Thanks for flagging. Thanks for the suggestion, SLJ. Probably a sensible option.

Thanks SBM! Team shouldn't be too uber-popular, and must be based in a city that isn't exactly touristy, but a bit quirky ( I'm drawn to both the Ravens and the Chiefs for the latter reason - love Bmore and KCity), but happy to be advised otherwise. Also - would be good if they were Champions a long time ago, but have struggled to compete since (e.g. Leafs in NHL). I want a team who craves the holy grail more than most others (e.g. Hibs, pre-2016)

Why in God's name would anyone support the Lions? I'm not a big fan NFL fan, but have been thinking about watching more games. Of course, need to find a team to support first, to make things a bit more saucy. Really wanted to support an underachieving team, but the Lions - on paper - were far too dismal even for my liking.

Wheel of Time (Amazon Prime series)

Not started watching it yet, but my first impression on seeing the cast list was "they have f**ked it" . Happy to be proved wrong though. For my tuppence-worth, they should have squeezed Marion Cotillard in there. Also - and this is a controversial one - but I reckon Harry Styles would have made a good Matt. Discuss. -

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/stuart-findlay-interests-hibs-jack-25475782 Apparently interested in Findlay. Don't remember much about him. This is where a Killie fan joins the thread and posts a video of '100 goals scored by Findlay against Hibernian'. -

I actually hadn't heard of him, but there's a shiter of an article about him on LancsLive: https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-hibernian-steve-kean-22188271 Some tweets from Blackburn fans: @ryan1151: "I don't know what you have done to deserve this, but it's a terrible appointment." @EricBlueMonster: "Thoughts and prayers are with you Hibernian fans." @joshboswell: "This is not good news for any Hibs fan. I suggest anyone wanting to hear more about this and what he did at Blackburn Rovers should visit the @brfcsdotcom forum. This man is a danger to your club, in my opinion." @BlackburnEnder: "You must have taken leave of your senses." -
4 points... 4 POINTS. That's all we were off top spot by the end of it.

Who's making the gif of McGinn tanning the Danes at the end? I'll pay you in Hygge.

I'd just like to point out that Porteous didn't get booked, like everyone thought he would.

It's a right shame that we're going to win a world cup when a good number of fans will probably be boycotting Qatar.
