  1. No, was Margie Robertson until she stepped down. Don't think there has been anyone since.
  2. 4-3-3 If your wide players are off form, try and build through the middle.
  3. 4-1-3-2 a total disaster tonight. If none of your wide players are in form, try and add a body or two in midfield and build a platform that way.
  4. Just an absolutely awful performance. Spent most of the 2nd half hoofing the ball, hoping for a break. Ay no point did we have any foothold in that game.
  5. Murray needs to carry the can for that again tonight. I couldnt even yell you what the game plan was meant to be. Not helped by Euan Murray having yet another shite game but at no point did I think we had a way back into it. Basically just hump it and hope. Depressing as hell. Suspect it might now be a case of hanging on for 4th
  6. Back 4 with Watson and Murray, Byrne drops out. Rudden starts, so does Easton, Connolly benched as well. Hamilton on bench, Stanton misses this squad.
  7. There were two defenders on the bench, he'd have been squeezed out of the squad.
  8. Hopefully that's the last we see of 3 at the back.
  9. We got away with one with the 3-6-1 against Dunfermline and he keeps experimenting with it, but we don't have players who are wing backs, and we have a surplus of mids who are best played advanced and central - so a 3-5-2 is as far away from our optimal shape as you can imagine.
  10. Give it a fucking rest. No one is coming in to defend Murray after today, but you playing the aggrieved Cassandra figure is wearing in the extreme.
  11. No, we shouldnt play that flat 3-5-2 ever again. Gave us f**k all going forward, flat midfield was no more solid than the 4-1-3-2 or 4-2-3-1. Defending was an appaling joke.
  12. Undisclosed fee. At the end of the day, Gullan never recreated the form from his second spell. I think he was so good then for the reasons he's struggled since: That McGlynn was able (due to resources vs others at league 1 level) to play a fairly loose attacking three where Gullan's hybrid style could actually flourish. Outside of that though, as noted before he's like a better version of Iain Williamson. Not quite a centre forward, not quite a winger. Good enough to play football at this level, but never able to make himself indespensible in any position. That and his injury issues. Never able to get more than 4 games in a row without pulling up. On the other hand, no doubting his commitment or the quality of his contributions. Murray might have forged him into a unconventional type of Number 9 but for spending most of the season injured. Rudden should give us an extra bit of quality. More of a goal every 2.5-3 games whereas Gullan was every 4.5-5 games. More of a conventional forward who adds height and strength.
  13. Murray and Watson have trained all week, at least one if not both should be able to start tomorrow. Rudden is an entirely different type of player to Gullan, much more akin to Hamilton. That allows us to sub off Hamilton without losing our game plan, or it allows us to get two big CFs on the park which really would give sides a biy of a nightmare. Rudden also has a better goal scoring record at this level over Gullan, as important as many of his contributions, even this season, have been.
  14. Feels like that's a nailed on 3 points for ICT now....
  15. Anyway, are we signing someone, losing anyone or is it all same as ever and hoping for a Gullan goal tomorrow....
  16. This is the second most mental take... ... after this.
  17. Aye, fair fucks to him. Saved the day at Firhill but if he is'nt tearing it up at EF then not sure how he would fit into a championship team.
  18. It paved the way for getting Jordan Thompson and Scott Roberts on loan so was arguably worse than nothing.
  19. It reads like he's been up to something he shouldn't have been? Or has he just been shite?
