Just getting ready to make the short journey along the M8 to the Stadio Cliftonhill today. A better performance and result from us on Tuesday night. With Dunfermline getting knocked out of the Cup last night I imagine that will Free up Taylor Sutherland to play in the cup for us. Rovers I expect will be up for this with last seasons relegation still fresh in the memory. Hopefully no extra time this time and we can come back with a victory and be in the hat for the draw tomorrow night. C’mon The Rose

Well I am sure that I will be one of many hundred Rose fans who faithfully support our team to go to NDP tonight. The last 3 League games have not been pretty and I don’t expect tonight’s game to be any better. I don’t think the state of the pitch helps us. Surely all the players are disappointed with recent results realise our predicament and will give us a better performance tonight. At the moment scoring a goal is a massive an achievement. So after a pitch inspection todays game goes ahead. The pitch will sure be heavy. We need to start scoring goals again, get a victory and 3 pts especially after last Saturdays result. Well I have the thermals on and just the last few bits and pieces in the car before making the journey. Gonna be. a long day especially when returning in the dark. Time to refresh this thread guys. After last weeks blowy adventure to the North East where I thought we got a great result on the day in very difficult conditions for both teams. We today take the M8 to the Rock of Dumbarton. Our matches with them are generally poor quality games with few goals. I can’t see that changing today. Robbie will make changes to his starting eleven if last weeks missing players are available today. At least conditions will be calmer than last Saturday and I expect another boring draw at the end of the game. C’mon The Rose

I can remember one game :- when you were a Championship club and we were still a Junior football club we beat you 1-0 in a Scottish Cup replay at the Rock . Ah the memories C’mon The Rose

I remember very vividly when you were a Championship team a Junior team knocked you out of the Scottish Cup replay at Dumbarton, when you couldn’t score a goal against them in 180mins of Pallas. C’mon The Rose

Wel I am surprised that the game is on, so well done to the Rose and ground staff for getting the pitch playable. after 2 idle weeks it is great to get some action again. Certainly will be a heavy pitch, will be interesting to see how each team approaches the game since the first meeting early in the season and once more the first goal will be all important. Well it’s derby day for the Rose. The shortest away trip of the season to Ainslie Park. Always been a tight games with Spartans over the last few seasons, I see it no differently today . 3pts would be massive today after defeats in our last 2 games. Well it’s a top of the table clash at a sunny Boomtown Bernebeu today. We are on a good run at the moment irrespective of last weeks result, losing and still remaining top of the League shows how tight this division is. We drew twice against the Warriors last season, so I expect another tight affair today 3pts for us today would be massive. Home after the game get washed and changed then back to the Social Club to honour last seasons Player of the Year awards. Looking forward to a good day. C’mon The Rose

Well it’s gonna be a good albeit long day out today. New ground today in the town of the prison and fish if there are any left. It was a great result 2 weeks ago against Elgin and it was only a matter of time that after our time in SPFL 2 that we were going to have a good day against someone and it was Elgin who were on the receiving end. It was great for the 3 players who scored who scored their first Rose goal that day. We have got more accustomed to this League and it will be a great gauge of our progress when have our second away game of the two teams relegated last season. 1pt gained at 4.50pm this afternoon would be great. Well it’s a fine morning in Boomtown and conditions should be good for the game today. Chance of a good crowd with the small Edinburgh and Glasgow teams playing tomorrow. It was a great occasion on the last day of last season when we got the 3pts to secure our place in the League, a similar result today would be fantastic. Got my wish of 2 goals last Saturday and at least 2 today would be great for us.. So C’mon The Rose

So it’s another trip across the Forth today and on to the home of the bridie. Surely the game will be better than last Saturdays. We had a good record against the Loons last season and hopefully that will continue today. We have scored the first goal in the last 2 games which helps I am sure Robbie would like us to go on and score 2 goals which would be massive. . I don’t expect many goals today and if we return to Boomtown still unbeaten in the League I will be happy. C’mon The Rose

Well after a great result away from home last Saturday we are back at the Boomtown Bernebeu this afternoon. It was a great 3pts last Saturday and hopefully we can build on that result today. Hope the wind dies down a bit before kickoff and not spoil the game against opposition we fared very well against last season. Expect Robbie will have a more or less full squad to choose from. All our goals this season have come from different players and like last Saturday hope we score the first goal and go on to maintain our good record against Stranraer. C’mon The Rose

Well another journey along the M8 today to Hamilton the adopted home of Clyde. Chance The Rose will have more fans there than the home!!! team. Well it’s a dry calm morning in Boomtown, hope it remains like that. Any away fans coming to the game now have a roof over their heads with the new enclosure behind the goals at the away supporters end. Our games against the Sons have been stuffy affairs and I see no difference for todays game. 1 player suspended for today , but hope Robbie has a full squad to pick from. Well last game of the League cup section today at home to high flying Airdrie. A good chance they will bring a decent amount of fans with them looking for a result to top the section, will be interesting to see their attitude to the game. As for the Rose , well what does Robbie do? stick or twist, all positions are up for grabs to start the League season next Saturday, again my only wish is us scoring the first goal and we could have a game on our hands. So 2 down 2 to go. Arguably they were the two toughest matches. I reckon that the opposition today will be more of a mark for this season they being in the same division as us. Our matches against Dumbarton were close tight affairs last season I see today’s match being no different. Again I repeat it would be nice to score the first goal, but don’t expect the game to be a classic. Dumbarton will have some confidence from their midweek result. The weather is certainly not going to be summer like but we have won before there in the pissin rain. C’mon The Rose

So the season at The Boomtown Bernebeu starts tonight with a visit from a newly promoted Scottish Premiership club, we gave them a close run in the Scottish Cup at Dens during lockdown, so it could be a close match again tonight. Thought we had a decent start at ICT on Saturday and we were certainly not embarrassed. Will be interesting again to see the starting line up again tonight. Us Scoring the first goal may get the visitors a bit nervous. Expect a big crowd and a great atmosphere under the lights. C’mon The Rose

Well it is new season eve, and The Rose open their 2nd season in the SPFL with a long trip to Inverness. Never seen a football match in Inverness so look forward to the journey up in the morning and a night in Inverness. It seems that we have signed a few young players 22-25 age group which I like they’ll have plenty energy in their legs and hopefully hungry. Don’t expect too much from the game and we certainly won’t be embarrassed. Great to be back. C’mon The Rose

Yes final friendly match today at the Boomtown Bernebeu prior to the season starting for real next week in the Highlands. I thought there may have been some announcements this week on new signings, we’ll wait and see what happens after today’s game. Well the 1st of July and the first friendly match of pre season. My Grandad was telling me that this used to be the start of the local Edinburgh trades holiday fortnight!!! Look forward to the journey to Pollok, it’s certainly not sun tan weather, but will wear my scarf. Also looking forward to see how the team perform today and the new signings.
