  1. Well that was a welcome back to NDP yesterday. Well done to the sand squad for their efforts to get the game on. Conditions were heavy of course and it took a long time to wear Bo’ness down. I had a feeling that if we got 1 goal we would get others. Lee Currie needs to go back to penalty taking school. The Rose kept going and very quickly were awarded another penalty emphatically dispatched by Neilly. The second and third goals put a bit more gloss on the final score and another massive 3pts. Bo’ness have sure been very generous with the penalties they have give up against us. A big week coming up, hope the weather stays calm so the game can go ahead on Tuesday and we can roll on to Peffermill on Saturday for another big game. C’mon The Rose
  2. And who was your Rose MOTM? C’mon The Rose
  3. So after a few weeks we return to NDP for our 3rd last home League game of the season. The winning post continues to get nearer and I’m sure Robbie will have them fired up after the bad result and performance midweek. Our opponents will be delighted that their historic tormentor in chief will be unavailable for today, especially in the conditions which will prevail. C’mon The Rose
  4. I am not bitter guys, but I feel that you may be unaware that a couple of weeks ago , the gers B team were at home (Dumbarton) to Dalbeattie in the LL. Both teams were on the pitch warming up when glass was found in one of the goalmouths. The kick off was initially delayed then game cancelled. I don’t know if Dalbeattie were recompensed with their expenses but don’t think they were happy about the situation. The post was merely a warning. I don’t support any big team. C’mon The Rose
  5. Better check the goalmouths for glass even before the players start their warm up. C’mon The Rose
  6. I know nought, just my opinion. I’ll save the rest of my thoughts for another day. C’mon The Rose
  7. Not in the LL, and with a bit of luck neither will The Rose C’mon The Rose
  8. Well Gimme has beaten me to the match resume. Lost in the cup, lost 5goals, a red card, and missed a penalty, all went wrong in the game. Rest assured we will be very interested on Saturday (weather permitting) Will Bo’ness be up for the battle or have they given up for this season? C’mon The Rose P.S. Wonder who Dolly will be supporting on Saturday!!!
  9. Just getting ready to leave for another trip down the A7 to play The Fairydean. After 2 blank Saturdays delighted to be going to see a match. As usual it won’t be easy and I expect another tough game. May be interesting to see the team that Robbie puts out tonight in view of the bigger tasks to come in the coming weeks. Away to put my scarf and coat on beanie hat in pocket. C’mon The Rose
  10. I wonder if The Shire had requested a noon kick at home against Newco would they have obliged? C’mon The Rose
  11. If that is the case then well done The Rose for sticking to their principles and consistency. Remember the OF Colts have still to play each other twice (in the last 9 games) it will be interesting to see the dates that they are scheduled for. IMHO the Colts teams have added nothing to the LL. As an observation yesterday all the crowd were Rose fans with the exception of about a dozen supporting the hosts. And I know their big team were at home about 20mls down the road. C’mon The Rose
  12. Well I have been buzzing since the final whistle and all the way home. Great performance from The Rose today. The Colts got the usual soft OF penalty debatable if the supposed challenge was in the box, but we came back strong with 2 well taken goals. We managed the game well in the second half and we should have had penalty when Hunter was scythed in the box, the damage showing by the time he got treatment and hobbled off the park. As I hoped for same result as opening day of the season. Well done The Rose C’mon The Rose
  13. So third Saturday in a row that we are on the road for a game. Not going to be the most pleasurable drive of the season. Conditions today are going to be mighty tough with the strength of the wind, hopefully we can repeat the result from the game on the opening day of the season. C’mon The Rose
  14. Well that was a good victory yesterday, thought it was easier than I expected. It was great to see George get back in amongst the goals. It was generally a good all round performance from The Rose . Hope the injury to Wilson is not too serious and Brown getting another 90mins playing time in his legs will benefit Tranent have certainly improved their ground massively and we’re rewarded with a big crowd for the game, the pitch also was looking great, so a well done to the Belters there. C’mon The Rose
  15. Another Saturday, another away game, another car journey. Down the road to Tranent. Expect a great crowd, cup tie and atmosphere. It will sure be tough. Our No 9 suspended I reckon , our former No9 still doing what he does best and scoring goals for the Belters. I will enjoy my day out. C’mon The Rose
  16. In other words he is done!!! C’mon The Rose
  17. That must be me you are referring to. I will be glad to wear that badge with pride, I hope it the size of a dustbin lid to fit on my chest at the moment. I am happy to have made my point about the admission fee at your club on this forum , it is no coincidence that many comments have followed my rant at the end of November. As a matter of interest how many home fans have bought a ticket for this Saturday? Think we know how it’s going to end BF losing his job as a result of your team being relegated P.S. feel free to come on the Rose forum and make comment you’ll find it in the Lowland League section and we will welcome your thoughts on a well run friendly club with a good manager and great fans. C’mon The Rose
  18. Well that was another eventful game yesterday, but nonetheless another massive 3pts. Thought we played well in the first half and were deservedly ahead at half time with 2 well taken goals. Fairydean pushed on to us a bit more in the second half and not for the first time this season Michael kept the opposition at bay. It was a bizarre incident for McGachie to be given a second yellow card, I can only think that it was for foul language. It was a mighty relief when we got the third goal and at the final whistle learned that 2 of our nearest opposition( who shouldn’t be in the LL) had dropped points. The day out made for a happy journey back home down the A7. C’mon The Rose
  19. A gentle jaunt down the A7 this afternoon. We have come away from Netherdale with good results from our previous visits there so hope that continues with 3pts again this afternoon, it certainly won’t be easy. Will be interesting to see what our line up is today after a few notable absentees last week. It’s gonna be a tough un. C’mon The Rose
  20. That was the expected tough game against Spartans yesterday our games with them are always close encounters. Must admit at 2-0 up I thought we would see it through but Spartans came out battling in the second half which got a bit tousy on the heavy pitch and probably got a deserved draw at the end. Our run in is going to be mighty tough and all our opponents will certainly be up for the battle. C’mon The Rose
  21. Do you think the paying public will get an answer to your second sentence? I will keep my cynical response to myself. They are the OF Colts and can treat this League with the disrespect they have all season. They have 11/12 games left in the season and still have to play each other twice!!! C’mon The Rose (and f—- off the OFColts)
  22. Thats very kind of you in the season of good will to all mankind. I would be delighted if you would donate it to a well deserving charity in your area. Thanks very much. C’mon The Rose
  23. Especially at £18 a pop to watch a dross manager and the dross served up on the park. (Sorry guys still hurting and lighter in the pocket). C’mon The Rose
  24. The penalty was rightly awarded for a pull back. Jonny Stewart is an honest player. We knocked and knocked on the door yesterday whilst the Braves kept it tightly shut. Football justice was server in stoppage time when big Kieron rose to head in the winner. The scenes then were fantastic and such a relief for the effort that was put in. Well done The Rose. C’mon The Rose
  25. From what I have seen and read no reason has been given for the cancellation. Move the game to the big stadium get a bigger crowd in and more money(as one poster said last week “will get them their £25k back”). So because crowds are capped they cancel it to wait for the restrictions to be lifted. Or have the Glesga Polis had their say? When the game is rescheduled they should be told to play it at their nominated ground ie Dumbarton. Even at this level the ugly sisters keeping their control over Scottish football. They are taking the piss. C’mon The Rose
