  1. To be fair, it's the same all across Scotland. In my last job, I worked for a Fife based company, all but 3 people employed were from the Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Kelty area and with the exception of 1 Dunfermline fan, they were all Rangers or Celtic supporters that would regularly travel to Ibrox or Parkhead. It's everywhere and it sets our football backwards in my opinion. How can you expect clubs to grow?? I worked in England for 12 years and it was refreshing to see the majority of people support their home town football club. My son is in S2 and on Boxing Day we were chatting about it. Like when I was at school, he was telling me that he's one of the few Non-Old Firm fans that he knows, but he doesn't know 1 of them that actually goes to games. So there lies the problem. People claim to support a team, but they don't go to watch that team, and they won't actually go out and watch any local football either, baffling to me!!

  3. Although i do agree with you. I think this takes things down the route of "who would you clear out" rather than who would be the obvious candidates to go. Last year, it was clear by January that Danny Burns wasn't wanted by Young and it was the case, however I don't see that in the current squad. Maybe that's down to the injury list and having a small squad, but if you were to say now....who will be the next player to leave he club....I wouldn't have a clue. As for, who would I show the door too....2 of the players you mentioned would be on my list, and I would also have to say that, after having high hopes for them early doors, both of our main summer signings are flattering to deceive a little and we really need to demand more out of them.
  4. Callum Crane has also joined ourselves. It was announced just before Christmas and he can play from today of course https://www.stirlingalbionfc.co.uk/callum-crane-new-signing/ No other news of comings or goings, however Darren Young has said that he would like to boost the squad with 1 or 2. Total speculating, but there’s nobody that I would say would be an obvious leaver, so I wouldn’t be too surprised to see nobody leave, with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 of the youngsters going out on loan.
  5. Skerryvore at The Stirling Albert Halls, absolutely unbelievable!! I’ d been a lucky lad with the gigs I’ve been to this year, but tonight was up there with the best I’ve ever been at. Honestly…….wow!!!
  6. Yip, it was how I saw it at the time, however I did think it was his chest and not his throat. It’s a Red Card, no doubt about it, but with his antics on the ground, the big man has made sure of it and acted in a manner that would make you think he was in serious pain. It’ll be interesting to see if there are further flash points on Saturday, sadly I’ll not be there but it’ll be sure to be a good one.
  7. I had first hand experience of this today, some of them were on a different level of moaning, couldn’t believe some of the shouts and chats that I over heard
  8. He grabbed him around the neck twice, i’m not believing the Linesman missed that. I thought the Ref was horrendous and made things worse with not dealing with the issues. Persistent fouling by McLean and Gemmell, kick out before Bo’ness 15 on McMullen and a sending off that looked like play acting from the angle I had of it. Great to see a number of Ex- Stirling players that were held in high regard, although probably didn’t see enough of a few of them, but I hope that Binnie, Thomson, McMullen, Cunningham, Paterson and Heaver are doing you a good turn again this season.
  9. Took the game in with my son this afternoon, and although not great, it was an enjoyable watch. I thought a draw was fair, but Cammy Bonnie had 2 excellent saves in the First Half, so on another day Bo’ness probably could have bagged the 3 points in the First Half. Sending Off, would have to see it again but the view I had of it, Big Rusty has totally played for it and got a fellow semi-pro sent off, which is never good to see. If from another angle, you can see a punch thrown then fair enough but the view I had, I would be surprised if I missed that. I thought Rusty was lucky to stay on the park, the persistent fouling whilst already on a Yellow, was crazy. I though Michael Gemmell was the same, every team needs a Gemmell and he plays the role really well, but must have cause over 10 fouls before being subbed. This was the second time I have seen Bo’ness this season, and first of seeing Linlithgow, I thought Bo’ness were very organised and had a structure that is hard to play against but totally agreed , the subs were baffling. You could see what the plan was with Rusty and Daziel up front but without the width, it’s not really going to work. I thought Stenhouse and Kennedy were doing well Would agree with Lennon being MOTM, he’s not someone I know but he stood out as did the boy Calum Rae, especially in the First Half. I thought Connor McMullen was also excellent and took a couple of sore ones in the process. Will definitely be back along to see both teams before the end of the season, was delighted to see such a big crowd, but as has been said, no place to get hot drinks was poor planning on the clubs part.
  10. Would have thought your under 20's were like most of this level's, where it's made up of youngsters on amateur contracts and volunteer Coaches, so other than pitch hire and 'hand me down' kit, would be costing you nothing at all.
  11. I wouldn't say you were alone on that opinion, it's my opinion also and I know a few others who share it. On his day he can also be very good, or like last Saturday, not so good, but ultimately he's just really ok. I hope he can develop and kick on to be a good or very good player at the club, but time will tell if that can happen. However, I feel if we are to kick on ourselves and establish Stirling as a League 1 team again, we need better at Left Back than what we are getting from Clark at this moment in time.

  13. Hamilton was a Left Back when he broke into the Stirling set up as a youngster, but is very much a Centre Back and a really good one for this level. It's been said above (but I couldn't get onto P&B yesterday) but you've got a player that's probably amongst the best in your Division, and is really good on the ball, in fact, there was hope amongst some of our support that he would return to Forthbank, but obviously not
