  1. As supporters, we have praised this group of players to the hilt and we’ve got behind them and have backed them in everything they do. I’ve been on here time and time again, full of praise for everyone involved in the onfield department of the team, but today was absolutely woeful.

Who knows what goes on behind the scenes, we get no news from the club, so there was maybe injury’s at play, but in my opinion, Young got his starting 11 wrong today and soooo many players were off it. I think he got his subs right, however possibly who they were replacing, slightly wrong.

It’s seems confidence has taken a bit of a blip, but Alloa will not have an easier opening 45 minutes this season, and we have the bar and the post to thank for only going in 1-0 down at Half Time, as Alloa skelped them 3 times.

Take nothing away from Alloa, I thought they were organised, they fought for everything and they played some good stuff at times and were well worthy of the 3 points but we did not help ourselves. The forever reliable Milne and Hilson, well off it, Leitch well off it and over played it (but how the hell that free kick went against him for his head injury, I’ll never know), Thomson, Dunsmore and Clark as well had shockers…..I just didn’t get it.

The lads didn’t lack effort but we were often sloppy, gave the ball away cheaply and allowed Alloa to play by given them so much space, especially in Midfield, and it was as bad as I have seen us play in a long long time, in fact, had it not been for the chicken and haggis pie, I could have cried. We looked like a middle of the road League 2 side today.

Pains me to say it, but well done Alloa, Rice has probably bought himself a little longer, however I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is not the start of the slide for us.

Are we able to park at Morrisons for the game? I'm coming straight from work so only have 5/10 minutes leeway!

Was at the ground last year for a Stirling Uni game and parked at the Peak but guessing that'll be full for Stirling games

I haven't parked in Morrisons since the McDonalds was open, so not 100% sure but you used to be able to. Park in the disused units next to Morrison's (that's where I usually park) absolutely no problem there.

The Peak car park is always rammed with gym users etc etc, it's best avoided.

  3. Like everything that is going on behind the scenes at the club, who knows what's happening with the highlights, but that's the problem with relying on A volunteer. His username has slipped my head (West Stand maybe?), however he posted on here at the start of the season basically saying he was no expert but giving it his best shot and was doing a bloody good job imho.

Whatever happened to the media tie in with the University of Stirling?? At one point the students were providing good content as part of their course, and there was also other work with regards to Scouting and Data Analysis going on.

  4. With his red card on Saturday, I'm assuming Josh Cooper will now be suspended for this match. This is a bit of a blow for us, as I honestly think Josh has played well over the past month or so and he's looked a good creative player for us. This obviously gives Jack Leitch an opportunity to get back in after his injury, and we all know how good a player Jack can be, although I don't think we have witnessed too much of that so far this season. It'll be interesting to see if we now lose something with creativity in the middle of the park of if Jack can rediscover the form that has made him something of a fans favourite.

You are the kind of voter who actually instigated this. Voting for Brexit caused the extreme right wing to take control of the Tories, hence tge government that has put us in this mess and ultimately caused Labour to be dragged to the right too.

Disenfranchisement extends to Scotland because the Unionist party oppose a referendum for Scotland.

For the likes of you too say people are disenfranchised is breathtakingly arrogant as you are one of the reasons for it.

Although I totally agree with this statement, I don't agree with your Labour line, only because it was the right wing battle within that party that pulled them to the right, I don't think it was a consequence of the Tories personally.

Alba give the impression of having more members than voters.

It would be interesting to find out for sure, but I think Alba's party members number have risen. I know of 3 people local to me who have switched their membership, and there were reports during the GRRB period of the SNP where Alba claimed member numbers had risen. I would think that the membership will grow, but is support as high as they claim it is? I'm not sure that it is, however I do agree with the notion by AS that the Independence vote shouldn't be split, and that the pro-independence parties should unite for the next Westminster General Election and stand as "Scotland United".

She's just joined a fringe party that won zero seats at the last Scottish election, who picked up what? 1% of the vote.

Yes, but remember Alba were a new party at that point, and other than a launch, they didn't have time to build any momentum. I can't even remember any real policy that they stood on, they must have had some but other than activate the negotiations for Independence within the first hour of being elected (or however AS worded it), I don't remember them standing for anything else. Now, they've had a good number of years campaigning, along with an increased membership and greater unrest amongst SNP voters and members, people might now be looking at them as a serious alternative. If I was to predict another Scottish Election outcome now, I would fancy Alba's vote to increase above what they scored last time. Do I think it's enough to put pressure on the SNP or significantly split the Yes vote.....i don't think it will be, but it might be enough to start the SNP worrying and that worry may just build in the same way that the Tories were worried about UKIP not so long ago.

At the latest SNP conference, HY obviously stated that the fight for independence will become the main manifesto pledge, that may stop a few more people from switching, those that have concerns can look at it as giving him/them a/another chance, however there will always be those who think they've had enough time.
