  1. Oofft, for as much as fans love this kind of talk from Managers, they rarely go well.....just ask Steven Maclean. Hope for his sake he has other players already lined up to come in when they can because I suspect a lot of the current squad will down tool further.
  2. Despite what he said, the fact that he was happy to be questioned about it in the first place tells you that it’s done and that it’s just to be announced
  3. CL saying on Radio that it’s not done, but they are somewhere between it happening and not happening, but he does want another shot at management. Also confirms if it happens then Kirk will come with him “to do all the work”.
  4. Our confidence seems to have taken a wee blip and although there’s no lack of effort, things just aren’t happening for us at the moment. Last thing we need at this moment in time is a game against Hamilton (or Falkirk) and I would be stunned if the Accies don’t get the 3 points.

  6. As supporters, we have praised this group of players to the hilt and we’ve got behind them and have backed them in everything they do. I’ve been on here time and time again, full of praise for everyone involved in the onfield department of the team, but today was absolutely woeful. Who knows what goes on behind the scenes, we get no news from the club, so there was maybe injury’s at play, but in my opinion, Young got his starting 11 wrong today and soooo many players were off it. I think he got his subs right, however possibly who they were replacing, slightly wrong. It’s seems confidence has taken a bit of a blip, but Alloa will not have an easier opening 45 minutes this season, and we have the bar and the post to thank for only going in 1-0 down at Half Time, as Alloa skelped them 3 times. Take nothing away from Alloa, I thought they were organised, they fought for everything and they played some good stuff at times and were well worthy of the 3 points but we did not help ourselves. The forever reliable Milne and Hilson, well off it, Leitch well off it and over played it (but how the hell that free kick went against him for his head injury, I’ll never know), Thomson, Dunsmore and Clark as well had shockers…..I just didn’t get it. The lads didn’t lack effort but we were often sloppy, gave the ball away cheaply and allowed Alloa to play by given them so much space, especially in Midfield, and it was as bad as I have seen us play in a long long time, in fact, had it not been for the chicken and haggis pie, I could have cried. We looked like a middle of the road League 2 side today. Pains me to say it, but well done Alloa, Rice has probably bought himself a little longer, however I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is not the start of the slide for us.

  8. mumford and sons - where are you now?
  9. I haven't parked in Morrisons since the McDonalds was open, so not 100% sure but you used to be able to. Park in the disused units next to Morrison's (that's where I usually park) absolutely no problem there. The Peak car park is always rammed with gym users etc etc, it's best avoided.
  10. Like everything that is going on behind the scenes at the club, who knows what's happening with the highlights, but that's the problem with relying on A volunteer. His username has slipped my head (West Stand maybe?), however he posted on here at the start of the season basically saying he was no expert but giving it his best shot and was doing a bloody good job imho. Whatever happened to the media tie in with the University of Stirling?? At one point the students were providing good content as part of their course, and there was also other work with regards to Scouting and Data Analysis going on.
  11. With his red card on Saturday, I'm assuming Josh Cooper will now be suspended for this match. This is a bit of a blow for us, as I honestly think Josh has played well over the past month or so and he's looked a good creative player for us. This obviously gives Jack Leitch an opportunity to get back in after his injury, and we all know how good a player Jack can be, although I don't think we have witnessed too much of that so far this season. It'll be interesting to see if we now lose something with creativity in the middle of the park of if Jack can rediscover the form that has made him something of a fans favourite.
