  1. I didn't realise this until this morning, How did he play on Saturday? I really like Beith, he was one of the few bright lights in a dreadful season last year and sadly he wasn't our player. I really hoped he would go on loan again and make an impact at a level higher than League 1 (from a Scotland perspective) however injury probably stopped that. Given his performances last season I think he is good enough to play for a Championship side, he's composed on the ball and assured. As the goals were rattling in against us last season Beith & Comrie started to drop back deeper and deeper and one thing was evident, his weakness was breaking up play however give him the ball and he'll dictate play and make things happen. With being out injured for about a year, I'm not sure if Stenny will see the best of him, however if you can get him back for next season then you'll have a good addition to your squad.
  2. Wouldn't be surprised. He's applied when there was a job free at Stenny & Stirling allegedly, so he's obviously looking for a way in.
  3. Mark Morrison - Return Of The Mack
  4. Is it me or is this becoming more of a regular occurrence?
  5. Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall
  6. East Fife fans obviously know better than me, but for what it's worth I would agree with this. Just going by what I have seen, I would say that Austin certainly deserves a chance at a higher level. I like him, and I always like to see players at this level move onto bigger clubs and show people that there is talent down here, and I certainly hope Austin can do that. I feel a move to Falkirk would suit him better in the long run. They have such a good track record of developing younger players and it's a good natural step for him., I don't think he is ready for the "SPL" just yet, but a year or 2 at Falkirk could bridge the gap and from there he could move onto a bigger club than Dundee, as many others have done before him. I just hope his career doesn't turn out the same way as the last League 2 goal scorer who bagged a move to a Dundee club.
  7. Not having a pop here, you guys know your club better than me but is this quote not the same with every side? We had a lot of injuries, suspensions at the start of the season (along with players off form) and struggled. It's probably no coincidence that now we have all but Beattie & Johnston back (although McMillian now has a long term injury) results are improving.
  8. Up in Aviemore this weekend and was going to take in the game v Rothes. Just wondering if there are any good bars pre-match or advice from the locals? May sound like a silly question but do the club sell pin badges?
  9. Think he's something of a nomad these days. Can be regularly spotted at Dunipace Juniors as well. Fantastic interview once again, my opinion of Gemmell has changed now.
  10. I was actually in the Arbroath end that day, went along with Ex Arbroath Goalkeeper Derek Jackson. Pity Parkhead was empty, but it was a great day out and when that goal hit the net to make it 1-1 you'd have thought Parkhead was jammed packed the way you guys erupted (quite rightly so)!!
  11. Although I think the standard of League 2 is going to be as poor as it's ever been, I do struggle to see how TL thinks that partnership will work. Having watched both players last season (Coult more than Grehan obviously) as his scouts/advisors would of, I just don't see it. Although poor at Stenny, I do actually think there is still a player in Grehan but I'll be stunned if Coult is the man to get the best out of him, in fact, after what I witnessed last year, Coult is still lucky to be playing in senior football IMHO.
  12. Certainly seemed the real deal the few times I saw him last season. Looked a class act in a poor to average Stenny team.
  13. Ok serious question, not taking the piss here......but what happened to the aim of turning East Fife Full Time and bringing some top names to the club? This was the aim only 2 season ago. Quite clearly pie in the sky (think even EF fans knew that at the time) but what happened?
  14. Clocked him as well, but wasn't sure if he lived locally or there was more to it than that. Going by posts on here, he was horrendous for both Morton & Dunfermline last season.
  15. Wilson will be a decent player at this level. He's caught my eye a few times over the years, was actually surprised to see he dropped down to the juniors last year, although rumour has it that Linlithgow pay well so maybe that had something to do with it.
  16. Hate to say this but don't get too excited. We were hoping for the Coult that ran riot for Cowden but in the end ended up with a player that ran about a lot without any end product. Admired him for his effort, the term trier springs to mind, but other than daft hair cuts and Twitter banter, don't expect much else from him.
  17. That was the reason Davie Irons quit the Stenny managers job if I remember correctly.
  18. See at the end of the day though, as long as the players get paid, on time, then they should have no dealings with the board, other than a curious "hello" in passing. I can understand managers not thinking highly of board, but players.....really?
