  3. Got tickets again. Saw her the last time she was at Hampden and it’s probably the best live show I’ve been at, absolutely blew me away. My Wife is a huge fan, I just went along to keep her company and was delighted I did. Yip, totally agree and it’s the reason I decided not to buy a ticket. It’s not the bands fault but the only way to make a stand is not to go, imho.
  4. I doubt the covers are down, as has been said there’s been no appeal for help, the only thing the club ask for now is to buy merch or hospitality. Anyway, I think the game is incredibly doubtful, we all know about the issues the Morrison’s End goal mouth faces in these temperatures.

  6. Interesting first post by Beepee.......I do agree with some of it and slightly disagree with other parts. 100% agree on the part about Carrick and Thomson, I thought Thomson was way way off it on Saturday but suspect that he's very much seen as a squad player now and had Spence been fit then he'd start in front of him most weeks. I also agree on your point about Leitch and it's a fair description of him this season. I have been critical of his performances in other posts and would think that if he keeps this up then he is playing his way out the door, which is a pity because I thought he was a big part of last seasons success and would be a main player again this season, especially when you consider that he played at this level for Airdrie & Peterhead but maybe they saw what we are seeing which is why his time there at this level was short lived. He does have time to turn it around but he needs to start soon for me. Disagree about Scouse, I know his Dad agrees with you but for me his level is League 2. I must stress that I don't think he is a bad player and I can't really comment on his leadership abilities, but I do think he's not good enough to be effective at this level. His injury record since returning to the club must be also be pretty poor and when everyone fit, he's not starting in front of Pabs and Jojo for me and Geeks is a better Right Back. He's one that I would put in that "squad player" category and I don't see starting for any of the teams at this level that I have seen so far. Left Back......I think that one is simple, I don't think Young was able to bring a player in that he felt would enhance the squad with the money that he had available, he probably spoke to a few, but they decided to go elsewhere. I think people are naïve in thinking that Young intentionally left himself short. He brought Wilson in on loan, that gives him a player that can play in there and further forward, so he has options and Wilson has been a good addition to the squad so far imho. The Lewis Milne we signed is garbage......that's a bit harsh is it not? Like a good number of players, he started the season well but his performances have dropped off recently, but garbage, na, I've got to disagree with that one. Young needs to be given funds or we are in deep trouble...…I would be surprised if he gets more. One of my big frustrations with the club at the moment is the fact they tell us absolutely f- all, but I suspect he has been given his budget for the season and there'll be no more. He mentioned in a few SATV interviews that the board had already "pushed the boat out" to sign Wilson and Murray Miller and I can't see much more changing in January, unless there's some sort of 1 in 1 out policy.........who knows, I hope I'm wrong and we can get a couple of strong additions in.
  7. Would have to agree with you @WC Boggs, what I would also add is that the effort levels shown in the opening quarter were never going to be sustained every week throughout the season. Yes we weren't scoring goals, but we were "putting bodies on the line" in every department and were working our butts off, but that level was never sustainable for 9 months. That's not to say that the players aren't trying now, I believe they are and I still look fondly on the character of squad that we have, but I just think we lack a little bit of quality. I've probably not explained myself well in that paragraph, but I know what I mean. I don't know what Young and the Coaching team were thinking in the summer, we can all only just guess on that one, but I think he has known that the squad's limitations....of course he did, but he felt that, with the couple of additions that he made, that it would be good enough to stay up and I think in that regard he is probably right. It'll be a bumpy road along the way and we'll need to keep our fingers crossed that it all works out but generally I do think there are 2 or 3 teams in the league that we are better than. Then, assuming the board want him and assuming there's a bit more money in the pot, then he'll try and progress the club next year, ironically in the way that his Dunfermline team mate Stewart Petrie has done at Montrose.

  9. Wow......I'm in no way a violent man, but I really want to slap that face.....
  10. I know it's off topic, but I used to love watching Bannan play. There was just something about the style of player he was for us that I just loved to watch. He did fizzle out and his loyalty to Sheffield Wednesday, whilst a big crop of better Midfielders came through the ranks, didn't help him.
  11. There will be a cash gate @mo83, however the option to buy tickets prior, will also be there

  13. Actually, another Fife club, but Kelly Hearts play Kelly Clippie at Full Time and people are leaving: and it’s non league, so not sure you want to include it, but Camelon run out to The Mariners by Jim Henry….although is it Folk….not sure, but will let you decide:
  14. I might be totally making this up but I’m sure I read/heard somewhere that he told Gordon Strachen that he didn’t want to be selected after withdrawing from a few squads, seemed to be a similar relationship to what Steven Fletcher had with Craig Levein. He was called up under Alex McLeish but asked him to forget it when they returned to their clubs.
  15. Raith Rovers have a link with The Alexander Brothers - Geordie Munro. Fans sing it, heard the song on the tannoy and they’ve used it on promo stuff previously (years ago) Really racking my brains out for others but I’m struggling
  16. On Saturday, that was the same with Moore as well, for some reason we were simply not interested in switching the play, throughout the match.
