Hamilton 2020-21 Relegation Express
NaeVay replied to Alert Mongoose's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Scottish football fans pretend they like an underdog story... when they think they are the underdog... Gonna be strange watching those arse clenching final weeks on the telly. -
Chelsea looking at buying SPFL Club
NaeVay replied to jagfox's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Can we please dispense with the off-topic chat and focus on the real issue here of whether GT was getting rattled or giving a gammy. -

Hamilton V Celtic Sunday 2nd Feb
NaeVay replied to Romeo's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Here's that clip from both angles. There's a lot of selectively clipped GIFs or still images doing the rounds on twitter. All this talk of Woods grabbing his foot is nonsense. Can clearly see his hands go up to the injured area after the stamp. To say the Celtic player is shifting his weight to avoid stepping on him -
I follow Hamilton Accies because I am a massive supporter of the mafia and organised crime.

Just bringing this discussion back in-house. Agree with what's that's been said by Bateman and Bomber about this being a positive move. No way we would have recovered from going 0-1 down under Canning... and we would have been 0-1 down and probably shipped another. The fact Brian changed it and we went all out attack from a losing position is a really promising blast from the past. Can't add much more than has been said already but three points: 1. We would absolutely have been relegated under Canning anyway. He's kept us up in the past but was on a downward trajectory this season. 2. As has been said, we may still go down but if we do, we go down fighting. 3. Most importantly, if we go down, we are in a better place to compete in the Championship, whereas under Canning, we'd have continued to sink like a stone through the leagues. Here's hoping it doesn't come to that. Still a lot of work to do but at least there's a bit of positivity again amongst the supporters.

I do know that, but good to hear Wikipedia is working. Potential is subjective, whether or not it materialises will have to be seen, but that's the way they do things at Accies. For every Tony Andreu or Giannis Skondras, there's 10 Nicolas Sumskys. It's a gamble but Rice has a lot of coaching experience and Maitland seems to have a more positive outlook and a good idea what we need.

Edited no less. I wonder how bad the first few drafts were! OK, Rice was a bit left field but I guess fits with out model of not big names but big potential. Feeling a lot more positive in the direction Alan Maitland seems to be trying to take us, he's certainly saying the right things (which makes a change from the last few years of defeatist 'punching' talk). Look forward to seeing how this pans out! Can still see us getting beat on Saturday though, far too early to judge.

Hartley is a shit manager but not a shite coach. would probably work with a DOF if hamilton could go down that route Would not see that being a popular appointment. Hopefully Allan Maitland has a strong set of key requirements and we get a solid replacement in to take us back to where Alex Neil left off.

It's a shame Canning has to go in this way but he overstayed his welcome and today's decision is the right one. Clyde 1 SSB (I know, I know) suggesting Hartley might be an option. That hopeless arse should be out the frame immediately after his GIRUY to Hamilton fans and his ridiculous paranoid rantings after the 10-2 game. That and he's sh*te. Interesting times ahead. Definitely not getting my hopes up til we see who comes in but a move in the right direction.
