Oh the irony of people slating nandos and then proclaiming Frankie & bennys as the best. I think we are all in agreement that all chains are pretty poor. It is because you do not drink. When you are sober its rubbish. When you are absolutely turkeyed it tastes tremendous...hence why people like it!

I like to think of myself of a big eater. I can invariably tuck enough grub away for 3-4 people on occasions. I cannot profess to being a nandos expert having only been twice. However, both times i have left pretty full i.e. full enough that I didnt have to eat again for a few hours but not uncomfortably full. Nandos seems to be like marmite. People seem to either w**k themselves into a fury over it or absolutely detest it. As I have said, its good for what it is. I am not going to take the mrs there for a candle lit romantic dinner with the promise of goingf home and taking her hole off. It is more the kind of place where you go on a sunday afternoon when you cannot really be arsed cooking and want to have a relative pig out without the greaseand shite of mcdonalds etc. Although the amount of people that rave about it is really quite funny! Nae offence....but pizza hut is fucking howfing. See big man....this is where you are going wrong. Half chicken with medium spice, piri piri chips and colslaw is the way forward.

I find the people that rave about nandos are the people who have not have a great deal of exposure to decent restaurants. Nandos is good for what it is. Its not tremendous but its the perfect blend of fast food and sitting in a restaurant. Wagamamas is pretty decent as well.

You sound exactly like one of my mates. He is a PE teacher so, by rights, he should be pretty slim. Anyways, he was always quite overweight and had really bad knees due to his horrific diet. He then changed his diet and the weight fell off him and now his knees are fine. So always light at the end of the tunnel. Sounds horrific mate. Best of luck with that. Takes the phrase "break a leg" to a whle new level.
