  1. I would have thought that was the case, which makes it even more puzzling why the medical team strolled along the touchline as if they were on a leisurely stroll in the park, at which time the poor guy was out cold on the ground. Hope he was ok and made a full recovery.
  2. That's just an inane comment. Did you see the incident? The point I'm making is that the initial response, from a guy I presumed to be the security supervisor, was excellent. A review would perhaps highlight that he should have a way of letting the medical team know that this is a serious call out and requires some urgency.
  3. Your sarcasm's hilarious Thumper, but way out of line. I hope you can still see the funny side if you're ever unfortunate enough to collapse to the ground and are perhaps minutes from death. Ayr Utd should be reviewing the events of last night to hopefully improve the response to this incident.
  4. That was an extremely worrying moment when that elderly fella was on the ground. He was eventually taken away in a wheelchair so hopefully he can be make a full recovery. However, I feared the worst when the Jags banner was taken down and placed around the area while he was being treated. The lack of urgency shown by the medical staff was shocking and the man could have died whilst they sauntered to the incident in their own time. Also, in light of the reaction from Jags fans, I thought the referee could have halted the game for five minutes to ascertain what was going on. It was distasteful that the game was allowed to continue when a fan was possibly fighting for his life.
  5. Why should that make a difference? It doesn't happen at Firhill. I'll remember next time to let them know in advance that I can't be arsed going.
  6. What a shitty wee club Inverness are. Squeeze an extra £2 out of you when buying your ticket at the stadium and the way the sound is turned way down when the away team is announced is just pathetic.
  7. Thanks for your advice guys. Your suggestions are in line with what I was thinking. I'll just bat it back to them with a letter pointing out the flaws in their claim.
  8. I'm wondering if any legal beagles on P&B can advise on what course of action I should take regarding hassle I'm having with Enterprise Car Hire. It would be appreciated. We hired a car from them back in June for a weekend out of Birmingham Airport. Upon return, we waited in reception while the car was checked and given the all clear. Our £200 deposit was duly returned to my credit card a few days later. Our weekend was incident free, so I wasn't concerned when the car was cleared verbally after a 15-20 min inspection in the car park, with no off hire paperwork being offered to me. We just wanted to catch our flight and get home asap. Enterprise Damage Recovery Unit then contacted me on 3rd August claiming £207.71 for a damaged tyre. As I had no knowledge of any damage to a tyre on the vehicle, I informed Enterprise that I had no intention of paying the charge. After a few months, several reminders and some email ping-pong, they have passed the matter to a legal firm called Shakespeare Martineau. The letter from them is not a 'letter before action', but a request that payment is made of the £207.71 or further action may be considered, with additional costs being aded to the principal amount. The description of damage is listed as "AA call out - damaged tyre". This did not happen during our weekend! We did, over that weekend, pay for extra insurance cover from a Swinton subsidiary which would cover this type of claim. However, I would have to pay the £207.71 and recover the amount via a claim to Swinton. I'm reluctant to do this as a) insurance companies have a way of wriggling out of settling claims and b) the damage did not happen during the period I had the vehicle, and I believe the claim is totally without merit. Under English Law, could they actually take me to court with no evidence to support their claim? Any advice? Pay and claim, reply to the solictor with my reasons for non payment, or ignore?
  9. I have a number plate on my motorbike which I would like to retain and transfer to a mate who would like it on his car. Can anyone clarify if DVLA give you a new reg number as part of the retention fee or would I have to buy a replacement number plate?
  10. I walked past an absolute c**t parked in a white Jaguar yesterday. As he drove off he nonchalantly dropped his half finished coffee and cup out the window. Not the worst crime in the world I know, but the sheer arrogance of this dickhead coming to our village and leaving his trash in the middle of the main street friggin' annoyed me. His young son was in the car with him. Great example of piss poor parenting.
  11. Not so much a feud as sheer indifference. I'm in my late sixties and my 3 older brothers have had absolutely zero interest or influence in my life. I stopped dutifully going to family events many years ago as it was never reciprocated. Am I a bad person for thinking I have no obligation to go to the funerals of people who care not a jot for me when they start popping their logs. As a teenager the only influence or example they gave me In life was bad.
  12. Absolutely pathetic performance by a bunch of spineless pussies who are a disgrace to the jersey. Taxi please for Steve Clarke and his mind numbingly bland tactics.
  13. Nescafe Azera is a decent instant choice. But I'm addicted to my Nespresso Dharkan these days. Btw, in my experience it's best if you heat up the milk in the cup in the microwave first for 50-60 secs.
