Looking at our run in with this squad light of players we are in major trouble. We play the top 3 away from home so don’t expect any return there. We really need to find a few wins from the home games I am now seriously concerned.

Do you remember earlier in the season when everyone wanted Reading replaced? Now we just want him back in the team.

Very few positives to take from that and more pressure to get a result on Friday. Only players I'd give some credit to were Dowds ( worked hard, but if he's doing all the work where are the goals coming from), Stanger (looked the steadiest of the defence) and Tomlinson (tried to get forward and create something). Midfield were awful and McKenzie and Bryden were passengers.
Stanger was woeful today

Hilarious that Amarty got MOTM and was only playing for about 15 minutes

That penalty decision? Good God that was poor. Clarke almost fumbling a trundler into the corner of the net goodness me.

At least he’s firing now which might mean we end up getting a bit of cash for him. If Accies want him permanently I wouldn’t be giving him away for free.
I still fully expect him to be playing for us next season. Game time and goals to boost confidence was what was needed.

Massive result yesterday. That now probably means we are going to be safe. I think 40 points will be enough and we are only a couple of wins away from that. All things considered I am just relieved we are going to survive, now let’s not make the same mistakes for next season.

Hear what everyone is saying but still think we could have been more ambitious in our manager appointment. The club have layed out a lot of money on the infrastructure around the ground, new frontage, scoreboard, club shop in the Abbey gate etc and it will be a shame if we slide down the leagues after these last few seasons. As a club we need to be prudent, but it will cost us financially to drop to Lg1, and it might have been that a higher profile manager appointment would have paid off, and maintained our Championship status.
If you are really serious about being a permanent fixture in the championship then FT football is a must. Tarting up the stadium just isn’t enough. I appreciate that you have energised the locals and increased your fan base but to go to that next level full time was required.

I am seriously wondering if Brown knows what he’s doing? That team selection is just bizarre

If I was a DU fan I’d be raging with this line up and with Goodwin

Jim Goodwin needs to go back and manage in league one

There’s simply no individual element of his game that can sustain him at championship level. He’s just a generally tidy player who generally works hard. I liked the look of him when he first signed, but maybe that was because he was playing next to Andy Murdoch and Kerr McInroy who maybe made him look better than he really is. He’s been nowhere for over a year now, so wouldn’t be rushing to offer him a new contract in the summer.
I remember getting abuse on here about a year ago when I laughed at some people thinking we were going to sell Dempsey for decent money. Delusional stuff

If there was ever any doubt about relegation I think it’s now settled

What sort of state has "Big Dick" left Arbroath in? Can't imagine he was big on future planning.
That’s harsh. He nearly got them into the Premiership

I think it could be something as simple as Brown not rating him. He’ll be away in the summer anyway. Clarke is out of contract and based on last night I’d see if he can be tempted with a permanent contract.
Yes I just read that his contact with Celtic is up in the summer, so if he does well he might get an offer from Brown.

That Brian Graham is a moanin barsteward - ref should have booked him for constant gobbin off. Tomi not celebratin his goal was an eye-opener.
Lots to like (especially the result) but lots to improve on which is exactly where we should be so well done to Broonie and his staff for that - there's no way we'll be resting on laurels with him in charge - not that we've had much chance of that in recent times.
No Syla (for most of the game), Reading, Dowds or Chalmers and we still got a win against a team above us. Enjoyed it all last night, more to come.....COYA
I get the feeling Tomi actually regretted his decision to leave us. I also think he regrets joining Thistle as Graham’s understudy

Totally agree with this! I've noticed a few things of late, I'd imagine are instructed by Broon. Loved watching Clarke falling to the ground with the ball on numerous occasions last night and take his sweet ass time to get up.... More of this please!
Musonda told him to fall over

Musonda will be a big loss if he goes in the summer imo. He’s been asked to play left back, right back and centre midfield this season and only looked out of place once against Livingston who are a league above.
He's stepped in whenever asked and patched up some serious depth issues with competent performances.
He is about as fast as a heavyweight boxer in round 12 mind you. Give me the fear at full back just not mobile enough.

How did we win that game? Partick created far more chances and we scored with every effort on goal. In the second half we couldn’t hold on to the ball for more than 30 seconds, awful stuff, exciting but awful. We are seriously still in the mire too many very, very average players in our squad.

We competed quite well but didn’t really put Raith under major pressure.
As has been stated by others really strange to play a young untried kid in goals over Albison. Sanders is a total liability and needs sent back up the A77 pronto. I still don’t think Willoughby is an improvement on Rose so don’t understand that switch. Some really weird decisions being made by the management team this season.0 -

You haven't watched top flight games if you think VAR makes it any better. Just makes games last 15 mins longer.
Didn’t mean it would make it better. Just that things might’ve been different. Personally I don’t like VAR

It would be interesting to know how this would’ve ended with VAR
