The point I guess I was trying to make is that clubs paying only expenses will get replaced by clubs that have budgets more in line with what tier 4/5 would naturally pay and the more promotion/relegation places there are, the quicker CSS, Gala, Gretna, Vale, Edinburgh Univ, Caley Braves, Stirling Univ etc will get replaced. Put in the likes of Darvel, Talbot, Pollok, Tranent, Linlithgow etc the expenses only clubs will struggle to outmuscle them. I know there are clubs who are punching in LL and that's brilliant. But increased competition will make it difficult for them. Status quo keeps the inevitable another few years down the road.

Utterly predictable - but when half the league don't pay anything other than expenses, can they be blamed for trying to stay relevant at Tier 5 a wee while longer? That said, hope the next big Scottish draw for one of them is away to Golspie on a Monday night.

One biggie is clear if you look at the line-ups this last few months.

Only saw the last 15 mins tbh and Campbeltown had a lot of the ball but conceded late on.

Dropped in with the better half to see Campbeltown Pupils vs. St Peter's on Saturday. Pics if anyone's interested. Ground on a par with a number in the Conferences to be fair...

Kieran Davis, Tiger Lawson, Keelan Braonan and Ross Shaw have also been on the bench. We also have two first team regulars eligible for the 20s in Matty Grant and Jonny Lyon, while Jordan Moore played for both before moving on to Cumnock. Seems to be working at Lok at least. We are using our U19 SYFA side to pad out the numbers in the 20s when needed and have signed direct from it since the season started (Miguel Kamgna Jr for one).

Playinf devil's advocate, if these 400 or so 2001s played in a 2002/03 league, then does that not likely reduce involvement of the 2003s? Do they stay at U19 level another year rather than signing with an U20 side? If so, what of the 04 and 05s and so on... Every action has an equal and opposite reaction etc...
