  1. I did my coaching badges with Stevie Crawford, so that makes me......
  2. Has this been instigated because Gary provides a great welcoming venue for us away fans? And deters then from going to the absolutely souless bar area at the stadium. We as a travel club will continue to support Gary at cue here. Maybe in a different league just now, but we have to play your "noiseless neighbours" again in the New Year. OTT reaction to something at the worst, which could be called , uncalled for silliness. The guy has had a tough year without his beloved club booting him in the baws.
  3. One thing that certainly isn't lacking, is the commitment to the final whistle , to get something from the games. Our 2nd half performance certainly merited something from the game, and thankfully Jack Healy produced the wonder goal again. Can we try and not leave it so late though! What is glaringly obvious, is the lack of strikers. Shepherd puts his all into every game he plays, but there doesn't seem to be a great end product. He is much better when there's a 2nd striker beside him.
  4. Didn't quite click today against a hard working Stenny team. Game was a bit of a non event in the 2nd half. Well done to Reece Beveridge today for stepping in and doing a decent job between the sticks. Healy looked awesome first 30 mins, but when Stenny tweaked things, it meant Jack moving further and further back, to the point that we were more 5 3 2, than 3 5 2. The game changed for the worse from there. A cup run would have been good for the bank balance, but ensuring a top half of the table position throughout must be the focus. Dust yourselves down, and get ready for the game on Saturday, where we have the opportunity to repair the abysmal home form.
  5. Ther has been a bus running to almost every away game for the past 8 years that I've been doing it, and for many years previous , when Kenny and Becky ran them. As Laura mentioned, the information is available for all to see. If you have no Social Media accounts or don't receive the newsletter, then you could always ask the club. Sorry, but I honestly didn't think anyone wouldn't know about the bus these days. You should have asked at Bayview, someone would have passed you me details.
  6. Without getting too carried away, we have played both these teams already, and honestly didn't deserve to take anything, but sneaked 3pts late on against Forfar. Now roll forward 2 months, and we have deservedly beaten both . That is a massive improvement. G M has the team, and now the fans believing, that's some turnaround. I'd still hold off making a decision untill 5.00 next Saturday, to see how we do in the Cup.
  7. For all our huffing and puffing the last 10 mins and into injury time, you still had the feeling that Stranraer would go up the park and score a 3rd to end the game. However, Jack Healy had other ideas, and after a couple of failed attempts, he managed to pull out a superb winner in the 94th minute, (which was fully justified after 2 lengthy injury stops and 4 separate substitution stops) to maintain our unbeaten away from home record this season. On reflection, a draw was fair result, maybe we could have shaded it, but can't squander crystal clear chances like we did, and expect to win every week. Huge game next week, and were only at matchday 6!
  8. You don't loan a guy out to a team that's not going to kick a ball for at least a month.
  9. I'm still here, just haven't followed P & B so close during the period, as we have the group for club chat running now.
  10. Just seems like yesterday Cove and Culter battling it out for the Amateur League title. Well done to the club for the progress over the years. Steady building process, rather than the hell for leather , win or bust, tactic that usually ends in tears. Will be a tough game, both sides desperate to win. Not even going to attempt a prediction. #monthefife
  11. Will you guys have live stream facilities running for the new season?
  12. Why would you want them to get tore in, 5 days before our season kicks off. I certainly wasn't perturbed by the scoreline! A guy gets lucky where everything that leaves his foot ends up in the net. Hell never do that again, and I wouldn't want any of our defense or midfield getting injured trying to stop him in a friendly at M&D's. Cracking hatrick he scored though. But in fairness, Hamilton should have buried 3 or 4 simple chances. Hopefully that's the equivalent of the starts of last season against Cowden out the way , before we play them.
  13. SPFL Banter Kits World Cup Hope all Fifers and any other supporters out there have registered a vote. Like it or loathe it, we are up against the "Currant buns" variable Turkish blue kit. We can't let that win folks
  14. If you look at our fixtures for the last few seasons , you'll see why the thinking is like that. Once = computer generated , Twice= computer generated and probability stretch, Third= you have to question it!
  15. It's the same every season KK, 2 years ago we have Stranraer away last game of season ,then first game of next season . Last year we get Peterhead and Stranraer back to back in December, and our last 3 away games would have been treks. Guess where we are heading in December again!!
  16. If his middle name is Finlay, PeeGee will personally sign the cheque, I bet!!
  17. So do I , we were in the Falkirk end for some reason!! Had to make a hasty move that day.
  18. Collins would make that 10; signed bi think, and hopefully the other 4 mentioned will put pen to paper soon
  19. Champions League is simply a bought trophy. If it didn't come back, I for one wouldn't miss it. Also a huge drain on the possible funding to lower leagues. ( There will no doubt be arguements for it) and does nothing for the development of players at a local level. A midweek game used to be a treat, but now it's a curse to some teams as the loss of attendees on a Champions League night is obvious. Only the diehards turnout. There are many downplaying the standard of lower league football in Scotland. I have to say, that I feel the standard has improved immensely in the past few seasons. We have young managers coming in to the game, determined to play an attractive style of football. Think back 20 years, and most of the good players of the time, would probably struggle with the pace and level of fitness in most players in League 1 and 2 now.
  20. Not Cathkin, but add Muirton ,Brockville, Love Street to that list
  21. As was suggested previously, freeze the league as it is. Make the end of season payments based on current position. Then restart in July /August, playing the remaining fixtures from 19/20 season and 3 rounds of fixtures in 20/21 season. The league Cup return to straight KO format for 1 season. Scrap the biscuits cup for a season. Play SC semis and final as season opener. Just a thought
  22. The lad McKay may not have been booked for diving if Murray hadn't been so apoplectic on the sideline. The lad didn't actually claim for a pen as he tripped over his own feet, but Murray nearly bust a vein.
