Whilst I agree with that, in general, we should have found a replacement by now so that we wouldn’t “miss him” when the inevitable injuries occur. If we have financial backing to afford to keep him and have a strong squad then that’s fine.

I can understand Sula holding out for a better deal when he sees we can afford a 2 year deal for Peter Grant. Don’t know the details but that suggests we don’t have any budget concerns.

Agree. It’s staggering that Grant is as influential in L2 when, in L1, he, at times, looked like he didn’t know how to kick a ball properly. Is the standard or pace that different? Maybe he’s got better players around him, now, that let him relax.

My guess is Allan has been carrying an injury (thigh strapping visible) and wasn’t risked by Lennon to avoid losing him long term. He took a couple of pills in the second half yesterday so looks like he’s still playing through pain. If Cunningham hadn’t been injured, I wouldn’t have been surprised if Allan was rested again next week.
