  1. The upward inflection; people who upturn the end of a simple sentence by stressing the last word as though it’s a question. Generally used by people who also throw in unnecessary words to fill out a sentence or explanation, such as basically, specifically and fundamentally. Petty but so fucking annoying. ETA, Spellcheck[emoji847]
  2. Some very ‘niche’ choices on here! [emoji15] Time for another picture of the lovely Lucy Verasamy - ITV Weather
  3. Yep, London definitely, and the brass neck to poke fun at an unhealthy diet in Scotland[emoji23]. Chips with your breakfast!!?? [emoji47]
  4. No beans on a traditional cooked breakfast. Places like Little Chef made it modern fad, jeezus you’ll be piling the chips on next![emoji47]
  5. She might not add much to the debate, but she sure knows how to fill out an expenses claim form though! Don’t know how these f*ckers keep a straight face, banging on about the stories of hardship ‘they hear on the doorstep’ due to austerity, whilst absolutely ripping the f* k out of the public purse.
  6. Always buy a programme without fail to read at half time with a cuppa, it’s been that way for as long as I can remember. Had a fairly decent stack built up well into my 30’s and thought my boys might want to continue collecting them. Sadly not, so have donated/given most of them away, apart from a few memorable games and at least one each from all the grounds we’ve visited over the years, including any neutral games.
  7. Litterbugs; people who just leave their shit in public places, sandwich box, coffee cup, crisp packets, half eaten sausage roll etc, just left on the train, park bench or casually placed on shop windowsill. Take it to a bin or hold on to it until you get home, you lazy, ignorant, jakey bast*rds.
  8. Wonder how many of em flicked straight through to the Sports pages?
  9. Just watched the one where Jack and Victor get a mobile phone each, and Winston becomes an online celebrity. Absolute shite and a long way off the earlier stuff.
  10. Solitary confinement for the rest of his miserable life, with only the very basics of comfort and a sufficient level of sustenance and exercise, nothing more. As mentioned back up the thread by WB, plenty of time, completely alone to contemplate over and over again what he has done. Hopefully his regret and remorse will eventually surface and then gradually eat away at his sorry existence accelerating his demise.
  11. Wasn’t that Kinc’s point, that Eire has lagged behind England & Wales on LGBT rights for generations under the powerful influence of the Church? Things may well be changing (inc the thorny issue of abortion), but let’s not pretend that the Republic has been some sort of progressive liberal Utopia just because it happens to be a *member of the EU, *which in itself was in question only recently.
  12. Why on earth would Sinn Fein want to see the restoration of a fully functional assembly at Stormont?? O’Dowd trots out the usual stock excuses but no-one seriously believes that they want to see Stormont back up and running. As for championing ‘people’s rights’, really?
  13. Apologies missed this, he had a decent game against Coleraine at home a few weeks back and contributions in the back to back games against Ballymena recently.
  14. Vast swathes of their core vote aren’t though. Corbyn could never win Middle England either now. A Labour/SNP pact isn’t even a remote possibility. A general election won’t solve anything on Brexit but a further frustrating delay to most punters.
  15. Superb! Gets Dundee mixed up with Dumfries though but isn’t picked up on it. ‘The Owl sanctuary’ and the ‘Hair Cut for an Egg sandwich’ at the 82 World Cup are equally funny as f*ck on WILTY.
  16. Ain’t a fan of Blackford who is usually just another insufferable windbag when he gets this gig. Thought he was calm and measured last night however and spoke more sense than the rest of the panel put together (no disrespect to the European Law expert, to his left). Beginning to agree more and more that audience is rigged though and that Fiona Bruce after a decent start is getting dragged into presenting some sort of freak-games show.
  17. DUP saying that they will take time to review (no immediate dismissal of the ‘legally binding’ changes’) is that a positive sign!?
  18. We were never going to get anywhere near them this season Kinc. The signs are there in short bursts when sometimes we look pretty decent on the ball but still woefully naive and fragile at times. Feel certain that SG will see this project out though. It’s clear more than ever that we need to start again in building a defence that can truly work together, then have another go.
  19. It’s only anecdotal evidence, but from a No voters perspective there seems to be a much more sympathetic view on independence (within my own work and social circles) since the vote to leave the EU and how things have been handled since at WM. That Scotland will be dragged out against its wishes is very much a ‘change in circumstances’ that will only weaken the Unionist resolve for me. I’m not saying that they would all just switch to YES in a second Ref tomorrow, but an appreciation of the Independence viewpoint certainly seems to be growing in my experience. Travelling south with work it’s clear with most Brexit supporters (that I’ve recently had a short exchange with), that the future of Scotland plays no part in their considerations whatsoever.
  20. Jaffa B*stards!! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  21. Deep down you know it will though, it’s the thing that absolutely petrifies the P&B hordes the most.
