  1. People will still go yes, but the point I make regarding Killie in particular is the numbers going there are dwindling every visit and will probably be drastically reduced even more so next visit
  2. 1 - I actually think that wont be the case in this specific instance, from filling or almost filling two stands as recently as five or so years ago we only had about 3/4 of the one stand filled when I was at the 2-2 draw in August. Whether you like or hate Celtic or agree or disagree with peoples stance on it fact is a lot of guys are refusing to go to Rugby Park and this will I think be even more evident next visit. 2 - While in an ideal world the arseholes responsible for any past damage would fork up for their fuckwittery the fact is Celtic reimburse Killie and other club for damage caused by clowns in the away support, so saying Killie need this extra charge to pay for repairs is, as you fine well know a load of pish????????
  3. I've never agreed with or went along with boycotting grounds, I think if you are pissed off at certain aspects of your treatment at a ground dont go, but dont go expecting others to do so or pressure them into it. a slant I take on it is that away fans at CP dont get the best treatment, stuck in a horrible corner of the ground with a crap view and from what I've read on here they dont get the best treatment from stewards so maybe, just maybe if Celtic FC addressed these issues we would have more of a moral highground when taking up problems we encounter away from home. On the specific Kilmarnock issue I think Killie's statement earlier this week that they are going to cut prices for away fans EXCEPT Celtic is at best naive and at worst exploitive, they are basically saying we are going to milk you guys for a few extra quid because you have a large away support, the Celtic support at Rugby Park has fallen a fair bit the last two or three years while it hasnt at other away grounds so clearly some people refuse now to go here, from what I gather it surrounds ticket prices and this announcement will clearly impact this more and end up costing Killie more than the extra fiver or so per Celtic ticket sold, I know theres been a couple of incidents of seats being broken a couple of times earlier in the decade and arseholes that do that are not wanted following my club but the club will clearly have reimbursed Killie for the repair work so thats not really an issue on that matter. I personally enjoy going to Killie, its a decent trip and facilities are good, apart from our buses parking a fucking mile away I've never had any problems with it as an away day, I wont personally boycott it, whether I attend the next fixture here will depend on circumstances at the time (work/money etc) but I think many more will cross this fixture off their list now, I can see their reasons why but I do feel if our club improved the matchday experience at CP we would have a stronger position when taking clubs to task on issues like this
  4. A few images of Celtic Park during the dismantling/rebuulding phase incuding the old jungle with its roof off and an eerie looking view of the steelwork going up on the North Stand taken from the Janefield Street cemetary
  5. This As others have mentioned Scotland got a similar tweet. Scottish club with historical roots in Ireland and a large fanbase over there so what exactly is wrong with Celtic wishing Ireland good luck as well as Scotland? You'd think the club twitter had tweeted a profanity about the Queen followed by 'Up the fuckin Ra' the way some mouth breathers have reacted to this, not on here mind you, just a wee bit of mischeif making but on Twitter itself some classic meltdown material
  6. I've been to every Scottish senior ground except Annan Athletic and Peterhead Of the extinct grounds I've been to the former stadiums of Falkirk, Hamilton, Stirling Albion, East Fife, St Mirren, Dumbarton, Meadowbank Thistle (is it still standing?), East Stirling, Clydebank, Airdrie and Sunderlands old Roker Park Outwith Scotland I've been to Anfield, Old Trafford, Ewood Park, Craven Cottage, Home Park (Plymouth Argyle) Hillsborough and Elland Road I've also been to Croke Park in Dublin, Amsterdam ArenA, Olympic Stadium in Seville, Valencia's Mestailla Stadium and the grounds of Stuttgart and Rennes which I cant recall the names of Not bad
