Were there any chants or shouts aimed at the board on Saturday? Any chance of it happening this week at Clyde? Might make it worth going.
Nothing whatsoever…no even one Boo!0 -
What should the board members backgrounds be?
I think it’s fair to have a cross section of business skills to get the best out of any management team. I think Shadwell is correct on this one.
We’re all moaning like f&£@ on this and quite rightly so. So how to we generate all these views into meaningful action. We could type all day till our fingers bleed?1 -
I only hope someone managed to record it on audio before it gets ‘cleaned up’ and the denials begin.

How many fans are there?

Colburn starting blaming the fans. Unbelievable.

Did we expect anything less??1 -
Doing our best, look at all the fantastic things we're doing off the park.
SIMPLY PUT TO THEM TONIGHT…THIS SEASON, NOTHING MEANS MORE TO OUR CLUB THAN THE FIRST TEAM SQUAD AND SPENDING APPROPRIATELY TO ENSURE WE GET OUT LEAGUE ONE. NOTHING ELSE WILL DO AT ANY COST!!!1 -
Williamson made of glass ? He has hardly kicked a ball for us.
Probably the reason Thistle let him leave0 -
Big difference is miller won fouls whilst Ruth just gets himself booked.
Yip spot on. Different types of players. Miller won fouls from aerial battles with him flailing around if an opponent sneezed at him. Ruth is more on the ground type, running around defenders where refs have been well trained looking for simulation.0 -
One of the worst things I’ve noticed from Ruth so far is his constant diving. Got booked for it at Alloa, got away with a blatant dive up at Montrose and any chance he gets contact or not he’s chucking himself to the ground. He really needs to cut that shit out ASAP.
Lee Miller done it for years and he was a club hero!0 -
2 goals in 3 starts is about as good as we could have asked for as he gets up to speed.
Aye it’s all about confidence and supporters, well…supporting him, giving him lots of encouragement. You may find through playing together they form a natural strong partnership. I suppose this’ll depend on Sheerin playing them at the same time and both staying clear of injuries.
The only way we are gonna find out is to try it. 4 goals in less than 90 mins is well worth a punt.
Let’s make it so.0 -
Ruth played 90 minutes going by the Aberdeen report.
Seems like a good run out for the lad. Hope he’s not picked up any injuries. Lucky that we’re on a wee break I suppose with another game under his belt1 -
Just sums up the absolute shambles we are. Utter dugshite and we are relying on the only other decent ish striker we have not getting injured and theres f**k all we can do.
It seems like people are changing their opinion on Ruth on here? I hope so!0 -
I was in that stand and I thought that shout was out of order against Hetherington. It was nil nil and he had just been smacked in the face and was bleeding ffs, you got the response your comment deserved.
Happy for you to slaughter Holt right enough.
Snap! I agree. Totally out of order2 -
Mister.
You lot need to up the excitement, the Pars thread is drawing all the flies recently.
It always has because they are shit [emoji23]0 -
Oh, they’re being very open with that statement. They know better than us and the fans should all shut the f**k up and eat their cereal.
I think they be biting the hands that feeds. It’s hard to make change after they’ve already got their hands on your ST cash. Even if you do go on and make a turnaround (which I doubt) I think Grant’s race is run. You couldn’t have picked a harder game to appease the situation v Killie at home.
My best guess is he’ll be away before the end of October. Once the trust from the fans has gone so should he.
A poor statement generalising fans who I’m sure for some will be angry and disappointed as they support the club through thick and thin as well as being well behaved.0 -
In my opinion it’s not a question of whether the Manager bends to the wishes of the fans or continues to work to his preferred system.
Any competent manager has to be flexible in how he sets up a team and at the moment ours does not seem to realise that his system of choice and player selection is not the best use of the squad available to him.
He really has to adapt and do it quickly.
Surely a modern football manager knows he needs to look at every game in isolation. We can’t be arrogant to assume that teams will alter their shape to accommodate us, there are times when we need to match up to negate their threat - yes, even in league one.
If Sheerin is a one trick pony then he will not last in ANY job. He needs to have players that can adopt any system he chooses or need to play to get best results.1 -
What would Dunfermline fans think about Gary Holt coming in as the new manager? I don’t think Falkirk fans would be sad to see that happening.
I think you’d have 1000 offers of Falkirk fans driving him over the bridge…and I mean driving him over the bridge [emoji23]

The guy is absolutely deluded. I think he thinks he is still a big name in football these days. Haven’t seen much of him or Pars have this season but what I have seen leaves me to think we dodged a bullet as I believe we were looking at him too.
He is an egotistical waste of space. I watched the RR game on TV on Wednesday, every time the camera panned in on him he was constantly micro managing each player and constantly telling where they were to play? How does this level of management allow players to express their abilities on the park.
If you listen to his interviews his bluster is embarrassing. Puts Pep in the shade! The trouble is he’s only fooling himself.
Get shot tomorrow and get someone in to resurrect your season and get your team back into a better position in the league and start again next season.

Anyone know what was actually being said?
‘For f**k sake play 2 up top and start Keena are you blind Sheerin’
fair feedback for the manager tbf.
Holt Out
Can’t get it to open

then saying he tried to implement change but the DOF didnt provide him the players to play the way he likes.
Really???
When and where did he say this?

Literally no-one has ever said “come here and say that I never quite heard what you said”.
It’s universally recognised as a threat. I have no opinion either way of Sheerin using it.
Gaz. I having a laugh trying to lighten the mood. God, this is intense!!

Can you give me a particular example of when “come here and say that” isn’t a threat?

Hard to defend that today as we looked lost. Well done again to Ruth and Kenna of course. Sheerin needs to get his mind cleared and look to find out strengths and stop the perseverance of the formula that it looks we don’t have the mindset or players to play.
If we continue to play slow ponderous possession we will get hurt. I felt today we were our own worst enemy and invited problems. EF did not sit back and do what Dumbarton done two weeks ago, they defended from the front and I don’t think many expected this.
Two great goals but in the end Lucky to gather the 3 points.
Big improvement needed against Airdrie as the home fans are becoming restless. Another poor display will have the place in a meltdown.
Can only hope he learns from this and not convinced our DOF is not involved in strategies and team selection similar to Martindale when both Holt and Hopkins were at Livvy.

Having just listened to the Sheerin pre match interview I'm with the person on here who mentioned we should just stop doing them. Especially as Andy Thompson's weaseld himself back in.
"You said a few weeks ago this is a squad game, it really is isn't it?"
What kind of question is that?
How about 'Other than Williamson who else is missing through injury tomorrow?'
My view on these.
It’s all about communication communication communication.
Yes the questioning is a bit weak at times but it still gives a view from the club re the manager’s thinking and injury news etc. It can also act as an good opportunity to praise to individual players and for the manager to provide explanations for actions - like why buy a player and put him out on loan? (That was an opportunity missed)
It wasn’t that long we were bemoaning the silence for the club.
Remember a good few years back we used to have a full half hour preview that was aired on central FM called The Falkirk Football Program?

And, why should we not?
I don’t think he’s as bad as many on here make out. I think he has improved recently and is becoming better. As Sheerin says he’s a vital component of our team and I hope his suspension is overturned
Just my opinion!
