  1. This must be one of the busiest P&B day on this FFC thread. I really wish you guys would pack it in cause I keep on thinking we’re being busy in the January window signing new players or Holt has left the building. It is so disappointing that there is no new news. Can we just make some rumours up, anything please? [emoji12]
  2. Would like to wish all fellow Bairns all the best for 2022. Let’s hope we all have a good time and the Bairns roar back with a successful tenure of Rennie and Miller to catapult us back up the leagues Have a brilliant time [emoji481][emoji481][emoji481][emoji1634][emoji1634][emoji1634][emoji485][emoji485][emoji485]
  3. So, have we recalled Wilson then, is that what the thanks are for?
  4. Possibly Harry but many would complain they were not being kept up to date with latest news
  5. Come on guys We can’t have it every way. There’s been constant moaning about lack of comms. from club so they release a page on the website informing us one of our players is coming back from a loan spell. I don’t feel they are dressing this up as a new signing in any shape. We’re merely being told he’s on his way back and I’m sure if Dowds does does likewise they’ll be a suitable announcement. I think sometimes people are looking for issues that are plainly not there. I know it’s probably not the announcement that everyone want but at least we are being kept up to date. Thanks for that!!!
  6. You know I think most supporters would be mildly happy if there were a glimmer of some green shoots of recovery after Sheerin departed but with a new board taking the reins I think we were all expecting some form of new direction. I do think left his own vices Rennie has the history of making poor teams better and may come good here too but my question is…How long do we wait to change our footballing strategy if say we lose at Alloa on Sunday?- I think 99% on here would agree the current set up is looking frail and totally disjointed, how long does someone on the board wait before grabbing the bull by it’s balls and demand action instead of leaving it until it’s effectively too late? In a business that demands results why has this latest debacle been allowed to continue? It’s a real shame that Paul Sheerin bore the brunt of any action when it is as clear as the nose on your face that the problem lies above. It just can’t go on!
  7. Aye fucking demoralising isn’t if? We’re going from bad to worse. No wonder other teams fans are sniggering away and the truth is WE DESERVE EVERY BIT OF IT!!
  8. What disappoints me is the way the team was set up today, it looked totally wrong with some players out of position as did the tactics. My guess R&M should have had been pouring over every game captured this season by FTV to see best positions for all players. I’ve got to give them the benefit of the doubt due to the high number of ‘unexpected injuries’ WTF is actually going on? The whole situation appears to be getting worse and players are dropping like flies. MR’s interview post match was truly uninspiring and actually created more questions than it did answers. We keep hearing the same comments over and over about how good the players are in training but this form rarely materialises on the pitch on a Saturday afternoon - Have we got a team of bottlers? Early days for R&M but we have little time to get this sorted out and things need to improve very quickly.
  9. What has happened to Nisbet? All action no product. Is he trying too hard? He’s a shadow of the players at the start of the season
  10. Yes it’ll be on Falkirk TV I think it’s £14 or thereabouts. Maybe better to buy as soon as you can as FTV put an email out saying there would be limited FTV support over the festive period
  11. Bejazz1’s Santa Shopping List… An experienced goalkeeper Uncompromising central defender Hard, nasty midfield b*****d Goal scorer to help Dowds, Keena and Ruth I’ll be very very good I promise! Maybe asking for too much but if the play offs is more the target we need some brute force and oh aye…A new captain!
  12. Right!!! Enough of this Covid chat. Are Messers Rennie and Co doing the business on Boxing Day? I have a sneaky suspicion we’ll see a different team moving forward now they’ve had a closer look at the players and formation etc. Hopefully looking for 4 new players to strengthen the spine of our team. Any football opinions out there? [emoji23]
  13. I think a fair percentage of ST holders would happily sit in their cozy houses and watch the game in the warmth of their own homes having a few drinks and some snacks with maybe family members cheering on the Bairns. The thought of sitting on a cold December day with another 500 fans rattling about like peas in a pod in that soulless ice bucket of a stadium…Fill your boots, I know which I’d prefer.
  14. I think the SG are still are waiting on the results of the research to establish how this strain is going to behave. It would be nice to be able to wait to see how individuals are impacted but bottom line is they are not willing to take the risk. The issue here is Football is a mere sport and will not stand in the way of any public emergency…I know many posters on here have eluded to the problems and potential consequences this latest outbreak can have. Many countries are bracing themselves and locking down and I think the SG should actually be applauded certainly not criticised as if they had made the wrong call many would have plenty to complain about. Football in the grand scheme of things is not more important that life or death itself contrary to popular belief. I think it’s also good we have a government who are happy to make tough decisions irrespective of biased views. It would be great if the UK government was a bit more transparent too and maybe we would all act as one to contain the virus once and for all. Rant over (I know this a football forum sometimes)[emoji23]
  15. You know, quite a few on here are experts in fields from football management, politics and of course Covid 19. There is some amount of sh*t spouted on here at the best of time but come on. The SG are going into this mini lockdown costing the country millions of pounds, the same happening in Wales and probably over the border too in due course. I take it they just doing this to spoil everyone’s fun? What’s going to happen when the hospitals are full to the brim - look at the state we’re in just now recovering from the last Covid outbreak. If it keeps people safe. I say do whatever is necessary - we may miss a few games but a small price to pay. There is also the possibility that if the variant is mild as has been reported the restrictions may not last 3 weeks.
  16. Yes only because QP were not playing at home. QP takes preference because it earns him a wage.
  17. Looking at the weather forecast for today and looking out my window. Does anyone think todays game is in doubt due to heavy fog? I know the park it’s right on the waters edge. Maybe some of the EF fans will let us know the current state in foggy or fogless Methil?
  18. For what it’s worth I thought Rennie gave a good insight to his past history and his affiliation to FFC. I’m interested to see how he and Holt work together and that may the issue moving forward. I think that could be the straw that forces change one way or another. I think Rennie would struggle to work with someone who is not up to the task considering he was manager and DOF combined in previous roles. I also think credit must be given to Lewis at FTV. I think he asked the most pertinent questions, well done!
  19. This is one of the reasons some businesses fail because there is no consensus. Everyone has different views and different ideas. Things start to fall apart when different factions continually disagree. So it’s important to get behind what the fans group is trying to achieve. The out going BOD have been castigated for their actions over the past number of years and you’d probably find out that they were squabbling over decisions to find the best fit. We are beginning to see on here why things fall apart so easily. I’m with the ‘we’re all this together’ camp whether Holt stays or goes. There will always be people who are not happy with decisions, directions but we need to pull together for the greater good…it’s called democracy!
  20. I have a feeling Holt is going nowhere just now but will be interesting to see how he interacts with Rennie. It’s going to be strange if Holt stays and as Rennie is the experienced manager working under the trainee DOF who is still cutting his teeth. Could only happen at FFC… Interesting times ahead, maybe the club will redesign Holt’s role as I’d be surprised if Rennie was willing to take orders from him? We need to stop blurring the lines!
