When he was with us I'll be honest, I thought he was good (better than the majority of the 768 keepers we had under Yogi), but not outstanding - certainly not at Mallo's level.
I've never seen him make a mistake for Newcastle though - though his defenders are often chronic. And he managed not to dislocate his shoulder during the pens, which is a step forward!
Yeah Danni Mallo was a class act there's no doubt about that. But in my opinion even he was not as good as Michael McGovern who I rated better than Krul, Schmeichel and Mallo. He is the best I can ever remember in a Falkirk goalies jersey.

Yes I know but there are players who are out of contact from other clubs. .. Mark Miller etc. Just thought he'd move sooner before other clubs come in and make an offer. The early bird etc! !Don't know how folk can expect Houstie to be signing players just now, he's not even met the team yet!

Was hoping to see some activity by Houston in the transfer market by now. .. disappointed that nothing is happening. The earlier we get players on board the quicker the team will gel?

Personally feel Houstie is best we can get...... unless we throw a double six with an untried manager......
I actually liked Holt, after years of Elvis tactics of playing for draws, it was refreshing to see us going to attack and try to win games, even though some of the times we were very gung-ho, Id still rather see us go out to win games especially in a league where we shouldnt fear anyone
Still no feeling 100% that Houstie will get the job, just never know with our board....tho altho they seem to have the message that the fans dont want a promotion from within the club, ala Eddie May, Elvis........
We really have had a strange time with manager appointments, really would have to go back to McCall for when the majority of fans were happy with an appointment
Let's hope it IS Houstie and NOT COLIN CAMERON... GIVE US A BREAK FFS

It would be good to get an experienced manager for a change. ..4 rookies in a row FFS. ..hope not! !

Is Mark Miller totally out the reckoning? Would be a great shame if so. Was so inspirational last season and knows the culture of our club. I know him and Taiwo are similar but I think they'd be strong together and give us some steel in the middle of the park
