  1. I was travelling along the M9 today and my car was passed by a Merc convertible and it looked suspiciously like Hartley was in the passenger seat, I may be wrong...i do hope so, this guy looked like he had a minder with him and he looked like a dodgy drug baron/gangster/hitman straight of the plane from Columbia. If it was him, I thought it looked really dodgy as f**k [emoji36]The message is don't mess with him or you make wake up beside a horses head in you bed, oh ya Fucker! [emoji95] Maybe he's gonna clear the players out one by one
  2. It's hard to believe that apart from a few players that Houston has left behind, we finished 2nd last season. I see a huge positive change in Harleys approach, trying to change his tactics to actually trying to win a game instead of keeping it tight and trying like f**k for the last 10 mins. I could not believe how many forwards we had on the park at the end and apart from the Austin header, we never really looked like cutting them opened. I'm confident we start climbing up this league, unlucky today!
  3. Yes I'm aware of that but he had quite a few games prior to his injury. It's simple, we need to get returns from him because we have little else up front. Do you think I'm being hard on him?
  4. Your having a laugh, settle back in? Tomorrow is November. Managers are being sacked for not winning in 4/5 games, yet you expect us to show patience with a player on a reported large salary. We've already parted company with our manager this season due to poor results... How much time would you give Loy to find his shooting boots then? Remember we are second bottom of the league, can we afford anytime at all?
  5. Yip, for me Loy needs to go unless he starts showing if he is capable of putting the ball in the net for us. He never leads the line, plays far too deep, don’t think he has scored for us since his return tbf doesn’t look likely. I know he has not been fit but I can’t help think he’ll struggle to get a game when Hartley sorts out his own team. He is one player we have brought back and arguably as our main striker, he has been a major disappointment to me, sure he had a couple of good games against inferior opposition but can’t help feeling he best days are behind him. Moving back down the leagues has obviously dented his confidence. His body language to me seems off, certainly not the busy bustling lad that left to join Hartley 3 years ago. Maybe the lad feels he has no support up front, who knows? Let’s face it the guy is going nowhere as he has signed a 2 year deal. Maybe if we get another striker in January he may get a new lease of life and find the route to goal.
  6. I don't know what the love in is on here with Austin... He's been awful recently, too busy falling around as per BSLM's coaching [emoji102] Needs to man up! One of the main reason we have scored so few goals this season, looks like he struggled to hit a coo's arse wi a banjo at times- get rid for me along with Thomson Kidd Watson Gasporatto Harris McKee Shepherd Kerr Miller Loy Hartley has a tough job on his hands, no doubt he'll need time to clear out the dross left behind... We'll do well to avoid bottom half this year
  7. Who gives a f**k??? Yes he's put in a few pounds, so what? Don't see the relevance to Hartleys body weight in football terms on P&B.
  8. Emergency board meeting to discuss new Peter Houston contract extension
  9. The way things are going we'll be getting fined ourselves unless we start winning games. The supporters are already fed up with dismal performances and only a matter of time before they begin to vote with their feet I can't see us go on any run where we could win games whilst other drop points, I think the damage is irreparable and Mr H should step aside now and let a new manger get acclimitised to this league so when have a chance maybe next season... Unless one of the bigger boys come down and then we'll shit ourselves and play for our usual play off spot. Joe McKee for me is a waste of a jersey, it's Craigen for me anytime, just thought I'd add that to the debate
  10. What position does Rory Loy actually play? We'll never score goals the way we are set up, it's just going back to 451 with nothing up front. Corporate Sponsors MOM Aaron Muirhead? I wish I was on what they were in this afternoon. The young lad Harris was our best player on the park, if we had a decent out and out striker we would have won that game today. Houston does not have a clue, that was fucking awful to watch, the only positive in we never lost but long season ahead. I've said all along we are lightweight upfront Loy, Austin, Shepherd, Miller and O'Hara could not score in a Dutch brothel on a buy one get one free promotion night. Lame stuff with a powderpuff strike force. Time for change[emoji35]
  11. I think we've had enough of rookie managers over the years, Latapy our Miller would be very risky and we need stability and experience. For me, Hartley would be a good option, I never personally think a manager needs to have some former attachment to a club. We need someone who knows the ropes and has managed at this level or above, simply Latapy or Miller have no credentials as management... Jack Ross may be another option, he has done well in every manager role he's had so far. I suppose we need to wait to see what happens if and when Peter Houston departs
  12. Falkirk v. Dunfermline Irn Bru next round A good chance for revenge!!!
  13. What the feck was that all about? Houston will not walk neither have we the balls to give him his jotters. That was awful, Rory Loy WTF? How can he be so pish? More like a midfielder than a striker he looks uninterested. Don't know whether its my imagination but our strikers are lightweight and flail all over at the slightest touch, this has just happened since Lee Miller started to help out coaching. Embarrassment really and we look unable to react, long season ahead. Our time? What marketing pish!
  14. Christ, we are in some state, aren't we? We're gonna scoosh this league, Championship contenders, never make the play offs etc. How has this gone so bad? From world beaters to no hopers 0-60 in 6 seconds FFS. Sure we've not started well but we have no choice to get behind the team and dare I say...PH. Nothing is gonna change here, we ain't gonna spend money on new players, the manager will just plod on, we'll all moan about formations, tactics, over the hill players, too young, not good enough players. Players out of positions, lost dressing room, injuries, suspensions. We should have done this, that. I'm not buying/bought season ticket. Everyone has opinions and not one of us is right. So, what do we do to get this FFC well oiled machine back on track? We need to get back out there and support and maybe just maybe we'll turn that corner. There is not going to be any monumental changes, our BOD's will carry on business as usual staying within their budget and not willing to gamble in any way to win this league. The only change we may get if PH calls it quits and resigns. If that happens the wheels will start to turn again Pressley, Yogi, McCall, Latapy, Maybury, Holt, Hartley, Duffy, Aitken. We just need to get on with it!!! ETA...By the way, Taiwo is a guaranteed starter imo and should be captain[emoji23]
  15. You may be right but funnily enough I though Mark Kerr had a good game today. I think we need a blank piece of paper and start from scratch. We appear lost, no vision, no ambition, happy to amble on. Disgraceful Houston should do the honourable thing as this is becoming an embarrassment. Poor stuff indeed.
  16. Yes fair point. My only concern with this is that our traditional poor start of the season is costing us dearly and already our supposed championship genuine favorites have already a 5 point advantage meaning we have little more room for f**k ups like last Saturday. The other disappointment in this is DU have a lot of new players who appear to have gelled well whilst we continue to struggle and throw away valuable points. We don't seem to be learning from our traditional poor starts
  17. Aye ok, doesn't seem so confrontational[emoji23]
  18. That's what I love here, friendly banter... Not Way over the top and not necessary, everyone has their opinion, let's behave Imaging the warfare and meltdowns on here if we get humped on Saturday, can't begin to think how that will end up. Afterall, we want the best for our team and I'm sure everyone is getting frustrated.
  19. I think we underestimated the value Leahy brought to us, sure he was never a out and out LB but was pretty decent at times particularly in the air although he was not the tallest. Add too that the attacking options he brought with both he and Sibbald playing some inspiring attacking football and not to mention his wonder goals, he never really scored a tap in most were spectacular. Don't think PH realised his value either as he moved out of the club with a whisper. Maybe with a halt decent contract longer term contract he would have been happy signing but this never materialised. Best of luck to the lad
  20. This side has no urgency. Can't understand why we start at home on a whimper and then go shit for leather when we are running out of time. Yesterday was absolute dire. I thought McKee had shades off BOB about him, Gallagher, a young lad, please tell him he can actually pass the ball forward!!! Peter Grant oooft what has happened. Kerr the crab enough been said about him. Austin and Loy look lost up front, Lee Miller, he is finished. The only ones that had real pass marks for me were Taiwo, Gaspo and Hippo and funnily enough Harris when he came on. Houston for me has no idea how to change things, he is very one dimensional and also we are very well sussed, teams know how we play. I for one can see us no where near winning this league, we have only played 2 games this season we are already 5 points behind and dumped out the league cup at home by a team just up from a lower division. Everyone knows on here our board will take no action even if we finish in the bottom half of the league as they are spineless and lack any real vision or ambition. We are happy where we are, we are at our comfort level where we can appear to compete but always fall short. Maybe the New chairman will crack the whip and shows she has balls, I doubt it as any substantial change will mean we need to spend money and this ain't gonna happen. We just have to put up and shut up, end of.
  21. Couldn't be a worse time to play Dumbarton as they always give us a stiff challenge. I think the fans need to be up for this one and give the team encouragement and show patience and not get on the team's back. Dumbarton are hard to beat and will probably put everyone behind the ball so it's not going to be pretty, we can hardly beat them sometimes even when we are on fire. A long afternoon ahead I think!
  22. Trouble with this is we've been saying the same for the last 2 years. Houston's record has been masked over the last 2 years with respectable 2nd place finishes. However in each of these season one of the favoured team have gone a bad runs - DU last season and Hibs the season before that. It's just same old same old I'm afraid
