From the clips ive seen looks a lot easier than TGC. Quite like how hard the chipping and putting was but loads of aids now to make it more arcadey, suppose you can turn them off.

Im the same, furthest i can hit is 200 yards with 19 degree hybrid, dont even attempt the driver anymore. Its more than enough to get round a course with a semi decent score. I usually score about 90 on a par 66. If you break it down, longest hole you are likely to face will be about 550 yards, thats one shot of 200 (hybrid) two shot shots of 150 (7 iron) and a chip onto the green, leaves you a par putt. All sounds so easy but dont let distance hold you back from just getting out on the course. Even go out alone first few times, that way even if you are hacking it round you can still keep up with pace of play as most other groups will be 3 or 4 folk. I played alone for 4 months until i felt competent to get round the course without embarrassing myself.

Ive stopped hitting my driver and havent lost a ball or had 3 off the tee in 5 straight rounds now. Only gain about 30 yards distance over my hybrid, which i can hit straight consistently. Its a no brainer.

I just put in my 3rd (9 hole) card for initial handicap. 46, 47 & 50 so far (par 33). Another 3 cards to go. Reckon my handicap is gonna be about 24/25.

You think they would be packaged a bit better than that given how much they cost.

Ive started using my 7 iron (strong loft) for most shots in and around the green, just treat it like a putter, still not great with it but miles better results than constantly thinning it through the green. Now i just need to learn to putt.

I just started out and built my set for £500 from a number of sources. Irons ex demo from american golf (callaway xr), bag new from american golf (wilson staff stand bag), lob wedge (fazer xr) new from american golf, driver off the for sale section on golf monthly forum (ping g10), fairway woods off facebook marketplace (ping g5) and hybrid (callaway xr) discounted from decathlon. Just need a putter now as still using old donnay effort i borrowed from brother. Think i have a pretty good set that will do me a few years until im good enough to merit upgrading. Spent about £250 on lessons so far.

It would be a brave man who would invest in the current markets rather than over pay their mortgage at present, yeah you might get an extra % here or there but is it worth the risk? Only the individual can answer that.

On season 3 of money heist and its an absolute teabag with all the plot holes. Quite enjoyed season 1 & 2 as well but not sure ill see it through, just reeks of a cash in.
