  1. There is absolutely zero chance that you'll be going back up. The only chance any of us will have of getting back up is if league reconstruction happens or one of your fans just happens to have a long lost cousin that is a Saudi Prince, and neither of them are likely. You might enjoy the first season or two due to the novelty factor of different grounds to visit and new teams etc but your first crushing defeat to either a university, a borders town you've never heard of or a gimmick team will bring you a crushing realisation of the depressing reality of the Lowland league. You'll soon be stuck in the cycle of not being good enough to challenge for the league but not being shite enough to go down so your season will be done by the end of august when you've accrued 9 points but lost 2 games. Games mean nothing, only 3 teams bring any form of away support so atmosphere lacks which results in fans getting bored and disillusioned so crowds drop and then the games a bogey. Enjoy your last game as an SPFL club next week and I look forward to a trip to your stock car facility next year.
  2. All season our inability to score goals and hold onto leads has been our downfall and it finally cost us big time today. A few weeks ago against berwick Offord ripped Scobbie, Balatoni and Pyper apart and I was hoping for more of the same today on the big pitch but wasn't to be. Good luck in the final, a promising end to what has no doubt been a slog of a season for you guys.
  3. Huge game today. Would be so disappointing to end what has been in my book quite a decent season with a loss in a semi final. Think it’ll be really close, we’re missing a few players today and would not be shocked if it goes to penalties. Kieran Offords pace against the BUs centre half’s may well make the difference. I’ll be tuning in via bet365 live updates praying for suspended betting on Shire ‘dangerous attacks’. What a thrill
  4. That was just a ploy incase we played Edinburgh uni in the semi finals and bottled it. I can now say categorically that Bo’ness are 100% making the final!
  5. Another vintage Lowland League Cup moment, what a tournament !
  6. Do we definitely know who voted for/against more relegation spots? I feel like it got brushed away quickly then forgotten about with the colts vote.
  7. Pretty much everything Caley Braves are
  8. That was a thoroughly enjoyable game yesterday. Both teams really went for it and looked like it meant a lot for all the players on the park as shown by both teams celebrations for the goals. First half I thought we were in control, Offord having a good few chances from balls over the top, which was an effective tactic giving the mobility of the Berwick centre half’s. second half however we didn’t turn up for the first 20 mins, we could not get the ball out of our half but Berwick never created anything meaningful. Fulton, Greene and Connolly dealt with everything that was chucked into the box. We then grew into the game and after Watson put a header wide Berwick went up the park and after winning a 50/50 their player slotted home. At this point Berwick had the ascendency and I said to my brother that there looked to be only one winner. However they just emptied when they got the goal and when we actually played football again we ripped them apart at times, we had a good few chances to get the goal. Mainly Offords chip when he just had to hit the target to score. The goal came in the last minute as Turners backheel flick sent Offord through and he rounded the keeper and decided to run the ball towards goal before smashing it past their defender on the line. Great scenes on the pitch and in the stands when it went in. It’s up there with one of my favourite shire goals tbh. There was still time for Ross Connolly to pull off a brilliant save to secure the win and get us 6th place. A great achievement for this young team to get the last Challenge Cup spot and a great end to the league season. I thought we’d be 7th-10th so to get 6th considering our budget and inexperience is brilliant stuff. Now all eyes turn to the Lowland League Cup and let’s be honest we are never going to get a better chance of making the final/winning it. Making the final would be another great achievement but Caley Brave and Bo Ness or the Uni will be tough challenges. Also commiserations to Berwick on missing out on top 6. They brought a healthy crowd who made a decent atmosphere. That game wouldn’t of had as much tension if we were playing against one of the joke clubs like Caley or BSC. Who knows, might be a rematch in the Cup final.
  9. Edinburgh Uni are 100% reaching the final, mark my words.
  10. will you be able to field a team on saturday ?
  11. Good bunch of teams still in it. All 8 will be thinking they have a decent chance of winning it.
  12. Am I right in thinking that if Berwick beat gala by 2 or more goals then vale are in the quarter finals? I am a loyal ‘dream team’ supporter for a day if so
  13. A lot of our games have been 'live' on betting sites recently so managed to get an understanding of the game last night. Going by the possession -> attack -> dangerous attack vibes I sensed that we werent really in the game second half and the highlights sort of gave that impression too. However a really good win in the end and continues our pretty solid form this year. We now just need to win against bsc or cumbernauld and we're almost guarenteed to make it through to the quarters and when you look at possible ties left theres not really any teams that i'd fear. At the start of the year I thought we'd maybe be 8/9th but we've definetly exceeded my expectations, we now have a great chance to go deep in the LL cup and try and push for 6th and (i think) qualify for the SPFL Trust Europa Conference League Cup. It would be really good to finish the season on a high, keep the bulk of the squad from this year and go into next season with some confidence and belief, but I won't hold my breathe.
  14. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/rangers-celtic-b-lowland-league-26475183 Edufrance planning to vote yes again. What a shock !
  15. Beating the Artists formerly known as BSC Glasgow isn't as fun now Jerry Maguire isn't around.
  16. I want Vale to stay up so, so, so much. Imagine the seethe.
  17. Good player as he's proved over the years and nothing against him but pound for pound one of the worst Shire signings of all time. Brought in on big wages as the marquee signing during our financial assualt on the LL but totally non existent in any game against a decent team. World class against the diddy teams, went hiding against the good ones.
  18. My thoughts on Nicky Low at the Shire are not suitable for a family podcast
  19. East Stirlingshire Soccer Club not turning up for a big game, well I never!
  20. The worlds largest car park is outside, you should be fine
  21. I can’t believe that people that post regularly on this don’t know this. When he does post though it’s always worth the wait hahaha
  22. We played Vale in our first ever LL game, they looked a decent outfit then. Spearheaded by Keith McLeod?? It was an ex Spartans striker if I remember. It’s a real shame what’s happened to them and I’m not a fan of the constant ridicule they get. it’s not their fault they’re in the situation that they are. Without teams like Vale the pyramid wouldn’t be what it is today. Yes, COVID has delayed their natural progression down but you can’t blame them for that. Good luck to the new coaching team, hopefully their appointment can spark an uplift in their fortunes and they can stabilise at their level. But only after they play us thank you very much.
  23. George Fraser and the Colts, your bhoys took one hell of a beating! Get the colts teams in the fucking bin.
  24. My younger brother must be talking shite then. Odaine Demar the centre half definitely played for both teams. He was playing on Friday. I think he’s an ex Jamaica u20 international or something. he said that all the other English players were the same ones that played for Gretna but maybe they’re different. Still a very cosmopolitan Fort William squad
  25. Urgh, woeful draw. Not really appealing for either set of fans
