  1. Liam Hughes, ex Celtic and one of several U23 goalies at Liverpool, could be a possible loanee - https://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/academy/player/liam-hughes. But I hope that Mason McCready will be given a decent chance too.
  2. And a friend of WGS. What's Alex McLeish doing these days?
  3. Agreed but he was always an emergency back-up last season. Sevco have just released him but I'd expect him to return to England.
  4. Moyes for a start but he will not be interested until he's fed up with club management. Alternatively, a British or foreign coach who (unlike Clarke) has been successful at the top level. Belgium have progressed and done well under Roberto Martinez.
  5. The artists' ridiculous performance fees, expenses and staging costs for last night's shite concert for a start. Plus the fancy parties for the subsidised freeloaders such as politicians, quangocrats and ageing celebrities who got underserved gongs from Brenda. The cost of the war-mongering military parades, fly pasts and "pageant" will be included too. Then there's the costs of "policing and security" too. London's lazy Plod loves an easy freebie rather than tackling serious crime like muggings, knifings and shootings.
  6. So it's okay for Sturgeon to tell lies but other politicians should be prosecuted or forced to resign for doing so. You're a typical politician who treats honesty and integrity with utter contempt.
  7. So is Sturgeon a Royalist or was she telling lies to court the pro-Monarchy vote?
  8. So which part of the BBC's quotes are wrong? Other posters said that it was old news. So you're full of shit and pishing yer knickers again, Granny!
  9. That's pretty dismal performance tbh. Murray should accept that he's done at the top level and retire from singles. He could do well in the doubles with the right parters.
  10. A democratically-elected President (with term limits as in the US) and Senate are a key factor in determining whom (if anyone) I will consider voting for. A vote for a pro-Monarchy party is, in effect, supporting the continuation of our Royal subjugation. Similarly, accepting an Honour is to support the patronage of the corrupt establishment. Sean Connery and Billy Connelly are typical examples of the hypocritical and odious scum who will sell-out their "principles" in exchange for the Royals' baubles.
  11. I regard Salmond's Alba as another Royalist party. The Socialist Labour Party, Communist Party, Workers Revolutionary Party and other fringe leftists seem to be dead up here. Does Scottish Libertarian Party still exist? IIRC those social rejects have put up the odd candidate in Edinburgh but I don't recall them being pro Monarchy.
  12. I thought that they would grow out of it to appeal to anti-Monarchists who voted Labour, Liberal or Green When I was at uni, they were regarded as the Tartan Tories. That description seems very apt even in 2022.
  13. As an atheist, I have to point out other religions (especially Islam) regard homosexuality as a sin. Then there is the thorny issue of the age of consent which has been historically low in many European countries. September 2013 - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/04/spain-raises-age-of-consent. "Spain is to raise the age of consent from 13 to 16 and the minimum age for marriage from 14 to 16."
  14. That assumes that the Greens have a candidate (s) in your local area. My local Greens entered into a dubious pact with the Lib Dems and did not put up candidates against them.
  15. Another hypocrite trying to justify more sycophantic Royalist arse-licking from the FM.
  16. It's not news but, as a committed Republican, I'm appalled by their Tory-lite sycophancy.
  17. The FM is on her knees - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-61676157 "Nicola Sturgeon said she had benefited from the Queen's knowledge and wisdom during their private conversations. She said she wanted the Queen and her successors to remain as head of state if Scotland becomes independent. And she said people should have respect for the Queen regardless of their views on the monarchy." When asked if she was a monarchist, Ms Sturgeon replied: "I support the Queen and her successors remaining head of state - it is the policy of my party as I think you well know." So the SNP is just another bunch of Monarchist arse-lickers!
  18. Clearly after a Damehood and then a seat in the House of Lords from King Charlie.
  19. Our Nicola is a committed Royalist - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-61676157 "She said she wanted the Queen and her successors to remain as head of state if Scotland becomes independent."
  20. Nicola Sturgeon is a Royalist. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-61676157 "Nicola Sturgeon said she had benefited from the Queen's knowledge and wisdom during their private conversations. She said she wanted the Queen and her successors to remain as head of state if Scotland becomes independent. And she said people should have respect for the Queen regardless of their views on the monarchy."
  21. His interview was full of self-serving BS. James was utter mince tonight His challenge was clumsy and idiotic. Southgate picked a squad with five right-backs and no left-backs. He did not replace White when he withdrew from the squad so he's short of CBs too. Walker and Justin were played out of position and both got hooked. Like Clarke, Southgate does not take responsibility for his selection and tactical errors. It's never his fault so the officials and players take the blame.
  22. Looking forward to Southgate's excuses. Playing four right-backs but leaving Trippier on the bench was brilliant - if you supported Hungary.
