  1. Your knowledge must be afa' sma'........ You haven't got a clue!
  2. IIRC we could recall Blair Lyons from Montrose this month. Can we also recall Niang from Alloa if necessary? McCall is obviously happy for them to remain on loan. If we are struggling to fill the bench, he could give Kris Doolan a call. . ETA - are we planning to bring a replacement for Stone (e.g. keeping Cervantes) or will McCready be the back-up keeper?
  3. That's a key issue. In recent years Thistle have signed several players in cross-border deals, e.g. Akinola and Rudden. Zac's loan at Plymouth was terminated by Rangers in January 2020 to enable him to sign for us. If Rudden joins Dundee in this window, McCall would want to have option of bringing in a replacement from England.
  4. FTFY It Hearts had scored it, the flag would have been raised immediately.
  5. With 5 subs allowed and 9 on the bench, how many players do we need to maximise the strength of the squad? Should we bring in new players or cancel a couple of loans?
  6. It's 9 subs too. Clubs may need to bring back loan players to fill the bench and their development will be hindered. The timing is not good as the clubs have only a few days to bring in replacements or reinforcements. The main beneficiary in the Championship will be Kilmarnock who are splashing the cash in this window.
  7. Vitor Pereira is reported to be the favourite for the Everton job. With his recent record of sackings, he'd be a very popular appointment - with Liverpool fans!
  8. Ben Stanway, 17, has graduated from the Thistle Weir Youth Academy and is now a modern apprentice. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/ben-stanway-graduates-from-the-thistle-weir-youth-academy/ McCall - "we’re looking forward to seeing what Ben’s best is because he’s got the attributes to go very far.” Congratulations and best of luck to him!
  9. Yes they were two defeats that resulted in Benitez being sacked. As a result, Ferguson decided to make changes and dropped Coleman to the bench. Ferguson had a choice of two alternative RBs to replace Coleman. Having watched them in training in the last few weeks, he picked Kenny. Patterson and Mykolenko were left out of the squad. You may disagree with Ferguson's decisions but they were based on his "stellar" analysis. He won't lose any sleep over upsetting numpties like you.
  10. It looked like Dier rugby tackled Azpilicueta in the box. Surprised that VAR totally ignored it.
  11. Azpilicueta can be a bit of a ned too. Tbh, it's just handbags.
  12. Neville calls the Stamford Bridge "scabby"! I remember the old Baseball Ground which was a glorious mud heap!
  13. Nearly a second from Ziyech - great save from Lloris!
  14. See also Thiago Silva. Agreed. I'd like to see Chalobah, who has real class imho, on in the second half.
  15. Tanganga is a bit lucky not to get a second yellow. Conte should sub him at HT.
  16. Not really. Son is injured but Conte has Moura and Gil on the bench. He left Ndombele, Alli and Lo Celso out of the squad. They've been utter shite all season. Dele Alli is the worst of them - a lazy, arrogant big head who has wasted the little talent that he had.
  17. Yes because he will be hard to replace with just a week left in the transfer window.
  18. At Norwich and Hull, Benitez started Coleman with Patterson and Kenny on the bench. Against Villa, Ferguson started Kenny, benched Coleman (club captain) and left Patterson out of the squad. He knows the squad very well and made his preferences clear. To put your last comment in context, Coleman is 33 out out of contract next year. Kenny is out of contract at the end of this season and can negotiate with other clubs. The reality is that Patterson was Gerrard's second choice at Rangers and will have to fight to get on the bench at Everton. I hope he succeeds but he will have to prove to the new manager that he can cut it in the EPL.
  19. The BBC could go for the Jambos vs Ferranti tie.
  20. Brilliant finish by Walker-Peters. Spurs should have kept him.
  21. Airdrie's 12th man. 1-0 is a decent result with 10 men.
