  1. He can both care about the club and have enjoyed his time here, and take a massive opportunity when it arrises, it's not all or nothing. Lot of our fans throwing the toys out the pram in a similar fashion.
  2. The word is that we've enquired about Potter. Likely get a polite knock back but is at least some indicator that we're aiming high.
  3. Rodgers bought another house up here around 18 months ago and i think his kids still go to school here. He's floating about all the time.
  4. Not really. Hatate is maybe the only one, he'll end up down south soon regardless with rumours of interest from Brighton. Kyogo would bang them in with better players finding his runs but he's not going there at his age and with the money we'd want. CCV is our other stand out player, he's been at Spurs and wasn't rated so that wouldn't get the fans on board. Boy Paul O'Keefe who knows everything at Spurs mentioned Jota but think that was only his personal choice as to who he'd like to see. It's at that point near the two year mark where we start to move players on anyway, but think Ange will be shopping in a different market now.
  5. Aye you could say that for sure, but they've been absolutely panned over this from every angle, i'd be amazed if they risked letting it happen again.
  6. Seems like that is indeed that. Interestingly everything is coming from the English media - by all accounts Celtic aren't letting anything out at all and are giving nothing to their usual folk. Still chat that Celtic will counter the offer but aye, i can't see Spurs briefing the Athletic/Ornstein etc without being 100% sure, especially having had their breeks pulled down multiple times already.
  7. Talk of a Rodgers return is heating up. Be some laugh.
  8. Slot being 44 compared to Ange at 57 is a big factor. Slot will get a chance again. Ange probably wont - a basket case club in turmoil is probably the only time he'll get one of the so called top 6 jobs in England. A few dodgy results here + a pummeling in Europe could see him off those shortlists for good. If the offer from Spurs comes in i can't see him turning it down, and i don't blame him for that. The word is that Celtic are willing to counter Spurs offer with a contract that would see him the highest paid manager in Scottish football history, but i don't think that'll do it to be honest. He's an ambitious guy, he'll back himself to go down there and succeed. As i said the other day, i'm gutted but i understand it, don't hold any grudge towards him in the slightest and wish him all the best. The only hope now is that some stumbling block emerges during the negotiations and it falls apart, but that's more wishful thinking than anything else.
  9. Ange's comments in the press conference after the game near enough confirm it for me. The most reflective/emotional i've seen him. The most i've ever enjoyed watching Celtic, an incredible fella who has been incredible for us on an off the park. In 2021, whilst we all lost our collective shit at us fucking the Eddie Howe deal and appointing some fella from the J league none of us had heard of, Aussie journalists were telling us he'd rock our world and that we'd be hanging on his every word before long. They weren't wrong. It's been fucking great fun.
  10. This isn't comparable with the Rodgers situation, and i've yet to see a Celtic fan make that comparison. A post on another forum which sums up my feelings pretty much perfectly: The majority seem to be in this camp. Gutted, but i understand it and wish him the best.
  11. https://twitter.com/Dan_KP/status/1663845638226817025 By all accounts this fella is well connected at Spurs. Ah well. It's been a good laugh.
  12. They'll all have the scarves up singing Boneheads Bank Holiday next.
  13. Scott Carson is 90 minutes away from being a two time Champions League winner.
  14. Inter are basically a Europa team full of Barclays rejects. Doesn't bode well.
  15. Grealish has really stepped up to the elite level this season. Always enjoyed watching him at Villa but was sceptical over his ability to influence games at this level/fit into this City team. Madrid players are (weirdly, for players of that quality) petrified of him.
  16. Not really sure what that has to do with anything to be honest. They're wanking themselves into oblivion over them because they're an outstanding side who are currently skelping the best team/club in the history of the competition about the park and making them look like diddies.
  17. Fully deserved. About time this era of Madrid being fucking rubbish for 90% of the competition and still somehow winning it came to an end. They’ve been utter mince here.
  18. Much like 2016 with them and Spurs, i'm not sure they'll be as close again soon. United, Chelsea, Newcastle and perhaps Liverpool will all probably be a bit better next season. Although with City there it doesn't really matter anyway.
  19. The amount of stick Neville got for predicting exactly this a few months ago was staggering.
  20. Wonder if folk will still be trying to clamp down on the notion of Arsenal bottling it. They absolutely collapsed the second the actual title run in kicked in. An all mighty shitting of the nest.
  21. Bundesliga = fucking rubbish. I know folk on here still like to trot out the overrated EPL stuff as if it’s 2007 but it’s light years ahead. Can see why clubs in Europe are desperate for the Super League. They’re being left behind.
  22. Tennents 1885 gluten free. Stronger than regular Tennents and a wee bit more hoppy - not bad at all and a fair bit cheaper than other GF lagers.
