  1. Think Robertson, McGinn, Hendry, Patterson, Adams and Gilmour are all one booking from suspension, so any of them could be worth a punt.
  2. Placed a few bets on bookings earlier in the week due to the suspension situation. The odds on Gilmour and Robertson getting booked as well as a Scotland win went from 18/1 on Wednesday to 28/1 last night which i found a bit strange. Wondered whether Gilmour might be a doubt having not played in a while although i'd be very surprised if he was left out. Probably nothing in it. Edit - seen the line up, i'll take it.
  3. Hope we go full Mourinho 2010 with this one (without the subsequent punishment) both for the sake of the playoffs and my Bet365 account.
  4. He deserves to be in the senior squad, but this isn't a good look for Hickey. There have been rumours/doubts about his attitude towards the 21s for a wee while now and this doesn't do him any favours, also I'd imagine Clarke to be the type of manager who has very little time for anyone who isn't 100% committed to joining up with the group, especially with the type of environment he's trying to build.
  5. It appears that Farke has been punted. Interesting timing after their first win but long overdue.
  6. Bit of a weird one that, the forearm was clearly the more obvious red card there.
  7. The commentary here is very Eurosport. Not befitting of the national institution that is the Renault Super Sunday™
  8. They're always filled with folk who have no understanding of the legal system too. A murderer will be sentenced to a minimum of 18 years or something, and half the comments will be folk going mental like 'Only 18 years?!!! he'll be out in 6 months on good behavioiur!!!! countries a fkn joke!!' Also on Diana's death, Ronaldo made his debut for Inter later on that day, i mind hearing James Richardson on a podcast a couple of years ago saying Channel 4 genuinely had loads of folk phoning up asking why the game was still going ahead - as if folk in Milan would give a f**k about a British tabloid figure, and also thinking Channel 4 had the power to postpone Serie A matches.
  9. Can't remember where i read it, but there was a good article a while back about how the country collectively lost its mind in the wake of Diana's death and has never really recovered from it. I was too young to know what was going on, but it does seem like it was the tipping point in terms of mass public hysteria. The Insulate Britain stuff is actually quite an interesting insight into the simmering anger that seems to be just under the surface in the UK. Can imagine it being infuriating if you're needing to go to hospital etc and i'd undoubtedly be a bit wound up myself, but it is a bit mental that for a sizeable chunk of folk, their immediate reaction to someone making them a bit late for work (with photographic evidence) is to want to run them over and kill them. Probably says as much about our attitude towards work than anything else.
  10. In terms of bookings (what i was on about) midfielders are generally more likely to get booked in the Premiership if the last few seasons are anything to go by. This season Porteous has either the most or joint most (IIRC) yellow cards for a defender. If he's flying into a 50/50 that's another conversation, but when he's getting booked for tackles he doesn't really need to make then i think there definitely is room for improvement.
  11. Aye, they type of tackle that fans love and gets the crowd up but is ultimately a bit pointless. Folk can debate all day over whether tackles like that should be a booking but it's irrelevant - you haven't been able to tackle like that for years without getting a yellow card at the very least.
  12. I quite like the fact that Porteous plays with a bit of aggression but he doesn't do himself any favours. Quite a few tackles where the ball is there for him to win cleanly, that he chucks himself into in a way that has been an obvious booking since about 2004.
  13. Watching Dougie Donnelly doing an ad read for Uber Eats like he's a podcast host is worth the PPV fee alone.
  14. We've played some brilliant stuff at times and should've scored a couple more. Hibs have done very little we're always liable to concede a goal or three so we really need to be putting these chances away.
  15. That forced live link to Jenson Button might be one of the weirdest things i've seen on TV.
  16. This'll go down as a legendary game of Barclays, incredible viewing.
  17. Norwich's defence looks watertight without Gilmour's inadequacies showing them up right enough.
  18. Folk struggling to understand the concept of taking time off work again I see.
  19. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_scotland_mw You can rewind it there, interview starts around 19:17
  20. That's going to be great fun, hope he comes out with an evil Vince McMahon type character.
  21. That was glorious, almost befitting of the Cinch logo on Dier's sleeve.
  22. Delia Smith for one. In terms of nutty foreign owners trying to get in amongst it, no one will ever beat Vinnie Tan. Wearing a Cardiff shirt (which he forced them to change the colour of) on top of his shirt and tie.
