  1. His head’s all over the place here, he seems wound up.
  2. Magnificent Barclays. Imagine being one of those 'dont watch that overrated EPL shite!!' bores.
  3. Cracking stuff this, Anderson looked dead and burried.
  4. For every Strachan's Middlesbrough, you have Daryl Murphy, Pukki, Barton, and boys like Jackson Irvine, who were fairly anonymous, unremarkable players up here who went and established themselves as solid Championship players pretty much immediately in England. My view of Celtic's squad is probably a bit skewed, so i'll use Rangers as an example. They've brushed aside Porto, Braga and Feyenoord in the last year or so off the top of my head. They'd batter most teams in the Championship. Ryan Christie - who was widely ridiculed for his performances in the Premiership last season starts every week for a team second in the Championship. Matt Phillips still starts every week for a team a couple of points off the top of the Championship, Steve Clarke would be slaughtered if he ever let him near a Scotland squad again. Dykes went straight from Livi to consistently starting upfront for a team around the play offs. Teams around the bottom half of the Premierleague are filled with absolute shite too, no player proves that more than that centre half we had on loan last year *shudders*.
  5. Kane seems to be hovering around Starfelt, which Nisbet proved could be quite effective last week, could probably cause him a few issues in the air.
  6. First one from a selection of German beers i had delivered yesterday, cracking stuff. Those Bavarian lads really know what they're doing when it comes to this bevvy patter don't they?
  7. Think the point was more that this Celtic performance isn't all that indicative of how Celtic will perform for the remainder of the season due to the somewhat jumbled starting 11 - same for St Mirren. We're of course going to look pretty blunt with our 3 best attacking starters missing, as well as our two back up strikers. I wouldn't be surprised if St Mirren get something here to be honest, we've not done too much to trouble them.
  8. There is a chance we'll be missing Rogic, Kyogo and the 15 other Japanese internationals we plan on signing if they're away for Asian qualifiers during the time of the Rangers game, although apparently Japan don't plan on picking overseas players currently.
  9. Sturgeon has very much lost the dressing room amongst the folk i'm seeing across my social media sites and talking to, the majority of which were probably pro-SNP a year and a half ago. Frustration has slowly built amongst folk but there's a serious amount of genuine anger now. You'd have to be covering your ears to genuinely think this hasn't dented her/their reputation amongst your average punter.
  10. In terms of policy, how would a government go about stressing the importance of the family unit in 2021?
  11. As are the people he's up against. He's considerably smaller and lighter than the defenders he's playing against generally. If he wasn't so good with his feet i'm sure a lot of our fans would be putting him in the 'too lightweight, needs to bulk up' category alongside Mikey Johnston.
  12. Kyogo has without a doubt went down easily a couple of times, but the absolute frenzy of radio phone ins, comments from pundits on TV and countless opinion pieces have blown the whole thing way out of proportion, to the point that folks minds are made up and he has a set in stone reputation now. You saw it yesterday when he slipped in the first half, he didn't claim for anything and got up straight away but folk on here and Twitter were giving it the 'theres that pesky wee cheat trying to con the ref again' patter. It's happened loads of times to loads of players, and Morelos has probably suffered from the same thing. From here on in Kyogo will always be snivelling con artist bringing that diving shite into Oor Game™ regardless of whether he's been fouled or not. He'll be booed at most grounds in the country and the default setting will be to assume he's at it again. It's not really a big deal and in some sense it's all just part of the pantomime (that i would probably partake in if he was an opposition player) but it is interesting to see how quickly the narrative around players and their personalities can form. If you trace back to when these types of allegations started being made against Kyogo, there's probably an interesting conversation to be had but that's for another time. There's definitely a grain of truth in the idea that he spends a fair amount of time on the deck, although i'm not sure he's quite as cunning as folk make out, think the fact he has the build of a 12 year old and plays in Scottish football might have something to do with it too.
  13. Bit of a side note, but i feel the SPFL have done a half decent job of making the League Cup final feel like a big occasion in recent years. Both today and the one in 2019 (obviously helped by the teams) had a bit of a spectacle feel to them, probably helped by the time of year giving it the feel of a night game and perhaps the TV coverage - Darrell Currie, McCoist, Sutton etc produce something very different to the cup finals i remember on Sportscene in the 2000s. Only negative is the fact it's tucked away on Premier Sports and probably flies under the radar for casual punters as a result.
  14. Why would it have chopped off the first one? Also VAR doesn't go back and reassess free kick decisions that lead to goals.
  15. That was much the same as when McGinn pushed Taylor over in the box in the first half. Neither are penalties.
  16. All the signs/fonts in Hampden - especially that BT sign on one of the stands - feel very 1999
  17. Know of a few folk - friend's relatives, parents friends and a couple of elderly folk in the local community who died from it. I had it in June and was battered with it for around a week or so, and felt generally knackered and lethargic for about a fortnight afterwards. Most of my family have had it at different stages, most have been in bed for a few days then gotten over it pretty quickly, my mum still hasn't fully regained her taste and spell after a good few months though. My sister (late thirties) who has no health issues, takes good care of herself and has been fully vaccinated for months was completely flattened by it in around October however, and was probably in the worst condition she's ever been in. Had she not been as healthy before hand it could've been quite worrying. Was completely out the blue, as she was fine for the first couple of days after the positive test, and just assumed she'd breeze through it. The worst case of long covid i'm aware of is my pal's younger (23 year old) brother, who got it near the beginning last year and has had breathing issues ever since. He is/was very athletic and played multiple sports every week . He's had various checks done, but is still blowing out his arse pretty much immediately whenever he attempts exercise as far as i'm aware.
  18. If Alan Muir had been instructed to make sure Celtic won at all costs, you'd imagine he might've given a penalty for the handball 30 seconds before the goal.
  19. Time added on was about right. Physio took 6 minutes to wipe Starfelts tears and snotters And thank god for that!
  20. Look forward to folk who didn't see a second of the game moaning about the amount of added time.
  21. Craigan is being very weird here. Committing and nailing his colours to the mast on absolutely everything without seeing a single replay and then having to backtrack when he makes an arse of himself.
  22. Leeds being such a great big bloody Breath of Fresh Air™ again i see.
