  1. "Livingston striker Joel Nouble is attracting interest from Europe and the Scottish Premiership club would want a transfer fee of £1m. (Herald - subscription required)" So what price for our Kev?
  2. From MK Dons Twitter comments - Jake Featherstone @ghgddryhbffghj · 3h Reckon he will go for josh Morris, was amazing at scunny under him and pretty much takes him every where
  3. Is this opinion based on previous knowledge? We've only seen glimpses of him. On Saturday, he had two runs where he left defenders in his dust, so he does have pace. He's had a couple of pot shots at goal in previous games. I haven't seen enough to form an opinion but "absolute football terrorist" is an indication DeadStar has clearly seen enough.
  4. You can add me and everyone sitting around me to the Blair Spittal fan club. Did you notice how often he sprinted back to defend whenever we lost the ball? Great work rate. I notice pre-match comments suggesting KVV would be a one man show - shoot on site striker. Well check out the back heal to Spittal midway through the second half. I too am scratching my head by his behaviour at the final whistle. He looked lost in some personal dark space. Whatever it was, I wish him well. PS. See if VAR official can't decide within 30 seconds - how about decision is tell referee to go with his first decision? That was five minutes that killed the atmosphere, we all had paid for, and none of us will ever get back. As for his mike not working pre kick off - is that not something you should check before you present yourself as a complete bell end in front of 6000 punters?
  5. Only downer from Saturday was watching Butcher hobble down the tunnel at the end of the game. He could barely walk. Hope it's nothing more than a bad knock.
  6. I respect we live in a democracy and fans are seldom slow in vending their anger and despair. A lot of us therefore should shoulder some responsibility for the form of Connor Shields. Yesterday, he suffered more abuse than Douglas Ross! Playing in a wide position not suited to him, and in a team that is not performing can't be good for his self confidence but repeatedly booing him and slagging him off online can't help either. I don't know much about his QOS career, other than he bagged goals. I wonder if he might start performing as a striker if we tried him as a six yard box poacher in a 3-5-2 or 4-4-2. With regards to Steven Hammell, I think he needs to be backed by the board and fans. When we went 0-2 yesterday, I looked at him on the touchline and wondered what was going through his mind. Did he not know how to change things or did he feel he didn't have the bench to change it? My only gripe was the length of time it took to get Tierney actually on the pitch after deciding on the switch. There were three or four passages of play yesterday when the team actually managed some good football. The individual errors at the back is what cost us the game. I agree with everyone else that the same back four can't start against Ross County next week. What age is Gregor Stevens now? Is he a free agent?
  7. Anyone got any inside info on Scott Allan. I notice His forum don't show any sadness at his release. Is his fitness and form beyond rehabilitation, or could he be worth a punt, as he was a quality midfielder a few seasons back.
  8. GA has also said that Tierney may be used as an option upfront, so TW's replacement might already be with us.
  9. Can we please stop talking about players and w**king. I've almost ripped my head off since Saturday.
  10. I'm a regular listener to BBC Scotland, especially travelling to and from a game. I'm normally an easy going bloke but last Saturday's post match listening was really hard to bare. My mate and I are East coast based Motherwell season holders. We were both naturally in the feel good zone after beating Aberdeen. Like most fans travelling home from watching a game, we were keen to hear our manager's comments on the game, and also how other teams fared. This is what we assume Sportsound Saturday evening to be about. To our frustration, all Sportsound participants decided to devote the entire discussion between 5 and 5:30 to the management structure at Celtic. All we heard for 30 minutes was various views on the role of Chief Executive and Director of Football at Parkhead. To add to our boredom, when Richard Gordon finally moved the discussion away to another game, it was to interview Leigh Griffiths, because it was assumed we all needed to know how his loan away from Celtic was going at Dundee. I had actually dropped my pal off at Livingston, and was on the outskirts of Edinburgh, before I finally heard a 2 minute interview with Graeme Alexander. I heard nothing from the Aberdeen perspective. As a lifelong supporter of a small, provisional club, I fully acknowledge Rangers and Celtic are by far the biggest clubs with the largest support following. I occasionally listen to midweek Sportsound and believe this to be an appropriate time to host lengthy discussions about the trials of supporting one of the Old Firm. However, on behalf of every Scottish football fan, travelling home last Saturday - I dare say including some Celtic fans - can the Sportsound production team remind themselves what the late Saturday programme is all about? That's off my chest now.
  11. Motherwell bois at 89 minutes - "You're just a shite Liam Grimshaw, just a shite Liam Grimshaw, just a shite Liam Grimshaw." Loved it.
  12. First time in ages, I haven't felt us ever throwing away a lead. Great performance from everyone. However, what is the BBC up to with their player ratings? Sportsound had a 30 minute discussion on Celtic's management structure between 5 and 5.30. Is this what football fans want to listen to coming back from a match. I was on the outskirts of Edinburgh before I finally heard Alexander's post match words - approx 2 minutes worth!
  13. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58359561 If only he'd kept his mouth shut!
  14. I prefer the new patient strategy where we wait for someone of a decent pedigree. I'm sure we could sign plenty of Seedorfs, Ilics or Ndjolis this week - but do you really want to endure the disappointment for next nine months?
  15. I think most comments involve salivating over Van Vane and Slattery. I concur. If Ojala turns out to be a solid CB, Kelly in goals, then we have a solid spine to the team. There was so much entertainment on show yesterday, did anyone else notice that Barry Maguire put in what was possibly his best performance ever?
  16. I am glad we have made a number of signings - all in the areas a lot of us have said we need. I'm assuming if GA says Nolan can play anywhere in the back four, that includes right back. We should now have a subs bench that can influence a game. I suspect the squad will look less bloated in the coming weeks. Players available for loan - Devine, Hussein, Cornelius, Semple, Robinson, McIver, Johnston. Release - Seedorf, McGinley. I don't know if Hastie's loan can be cancelled. I think Lamie and Chapman will remain as cover. That's a potential nine players. I suspect the next few months aren't going to be pretty, but we do look stronger than a lot of the SPL. If Livingston can go on a big unbeaten run, why can't we? COYW
