Based on the squad for friendlies, it looks like we won’t have any surprises for the finals squad. 25 will need to whittled down to 23 with a couple of current absentees hopefully making it. My prediction: In: Hickey, McGregor Out: Kelly, Cooper, Ralston, Taylor

It’s not something that particularly bothers me but if it’s implemented then there could be certain things in place for clubs who are affected: 1. One years grace period to put a grass pitch in. It’s unfair to expect teams who may only have known they’re going up at the end of May to have the finances available to rip up the astro and bed in grass in the space of six weeks before the league cup groups are to be played. 2. Grants available for clubs affected, not only to replace the surface but also to install a new Astro in their local area to ensure that the hundreds of people who use their pitch each week have a place to continue to participate.

Getting an email every three hours telling me how many tickets are left for a game that I’m not going to would be a pain in the arse. Any decent ticket system should have the ability to clearly show how many tickets are available. Aside from that, twitter is fine. Is it really that much of an issue to set up a blank account and turn on notifications for SSC?

A good move if it means they can increase the capacity, although it doesn’t make it clear what the new capacity will be.

I’d say it’s much more likely that they’d award Belfast’s games to existing host stadiums unfortunately. Any other stadiums would need adaptations made to meet UEFA specifications and are unlikely to be sitting empty ready to go for the period required.

How do we think the squad will look? It seems like McGregor, Hickey and Brown won’t make it. GK: Gunn, Clark, Gordon DF: Patterson, Ralston, Hendry, Souttar, Porteous, Hanley, McKenna, Tierney, Robertson, Doig MF: Gilmour, Ferguson, McGinn, McTominay, Christie, McLean, Armstrong FW: Adams, Dykes, Shankland I think the above are all stick ons or have a very good chance. That makes 23, I think we have space to add another centre mid and forward although I can’t see obvious options. Went for Gordon due to Kelly’s form. Ralston usually steps in if a RB is out. Ryan Jack may come in although he’s barely featured for his club.
