What about my £12. Do I lose that if EF are found guilty ? -

The permanent members of the JRG are all heid yins in the SFA or SPFL with only one qualified to make medical decisions. Could it be the other three were more concerned about avoiding the repercussions of a postponement ? Are we seeing a new, dynamic SFA/SPFL who can make significant decisions in 30 minutes. Equally important is when do I get my £12 back ? -

All 3G pitches must pass a comprehensive test carried out by an SFA approved contractor. The test is done annually and covers bounce, roll, blade length, infill depth etc. etc. Perhaps Falkirk could afford it but most clubs in Scotland would think twice about spending £175-£200K ?? on a new pitch when the existing one meets required standards -
Dumbarton vs East Fife

Difficult to type with steam coming out your ears. Probably the easiest 90 mins the Dumbarton defence have had since last March. Too angry to start on where the blame lies for that shambles. Identify the threat. Cardle tore us to bits at Firhill so he comes on on Tuesday and twice we give him acres of space and one on one and surprise surprise. Previously at Dumbarton McGeever is unchallenged to head home easily so he is given all the space he needs to do it again. Top five is still doable but with so much more pressure on each game but from the position we were in at the restart not to make the top five would have to be classed as a complete failure. -

A combination of biased commentary and problems with the presentation have temporarily stalled Clyde’s march towards their rightful place in Scottish football. Once that team’s on an unbiased, quality presentation they will be a force to be reckoned with.- 112 replies

Apologies if this has been covered already but heard on radio this morning that if his parents wish then Royal Archie can become Archie, Duke of Dumbarton. Nice. -

I think HMRC have extended the closing date for returns maybe by a much as a year ? so there is probably no great hurry. -

We could argue back and forward about what’s in and what’s out. With furlough and an infusion of £200K are Clyde or Dumbarton worse off now than they were in March ‘20 ? -

Quite a few Scottish lower league clubs have been left in debt by events beyond fan’s control and East Fife is one of them. I accept some debt will have accrued between March 2020 and the start of this season but with residue of 19/20 season tickets and furlough it would be tens of thousands rather than hundreds. Assume the league stops now. Not sure how many home games Clyde have had but assume 5 x £12K = £60K + 5 x £3K hospitality = £75K lost revenue. Anderson £50K, government £150K, streaming £20k, season tickets £50k = £270K revenue Players and staff go on furlough. That’s all very broad brush based on Clyde and the equivalent Dumbarton figure may be £200K but are either any worse off than they were in March and can’t survive until we hopefully get a league and crowds in August ? -

£50K Anderson money which isn’t being used for testing. £150K government money. Ability to furlough players and staff. How can anyone be suggesting that most clubs In Divs 1 and 2 won’t survive. The majority will be better off than they have been for years. -

Can’t remember the detail but a nurse being interviewed said she was worried that the age of COVID admissions was coming down at a worrying rate. Not very scientific but food for thought. -

Agree. For most clubs in Divs. 1 and 2 it is two years season ticket and gate revenue. When you consider some of the charities and community services who are suffering financially it is obscene. -

Charities could lose £10bn by year end and one in six are facing closure. The £500K/150K/£100K being paid to Divs 1, 2 and 3, particularly a couple in 1 and most in 2 and 3 is obscene. -

Don’t know why you are using the plural he is the only one I remember claiming the points. For me it’s a pot luck thing and could be any team so the plan should be to play it in the future. Problem of course will be running out of time with weather still possibly adding to the problem and not being able to finish the league. Groundhog Day ? I thought Divs 1 and 2 should never have started -

Don’t worry. Football will soon get back to normal after a five day free for all at Christmas.
