It’s a pity the Campbells didn’t bring a weight trainer with them. In the first half Forfar kicked the ball higher, farther and harder than us. No reflection on the players who came off but trying to play it on the ground and the substitutions in the second half left us unlucky not to win it.

Posted a £60K loss last season. Crowds down this season, cup income peanuts. Probably just about manage an extra £1K a week for the Campbells and splash out an extra £1k on quality players. We could do a Trump, inflate the value of our assets (allegedly)and secure significant loans.

Fifers For The Community (FFTC) is the registered charity which raised funding to lay the 3G pitch at Bayview. FFTC now manages all community bookings and maintains the pitch. FFTC is also involved in several local projects such as Warm Spaces, now renamed Warm Welcome and in conjunction with SGN we identify vulnerable people who need immediate help in the event of a power cut. This project also involved advising on the dangers of carbon monoxide and distributing CO detectors. There’s more but that’s enough.

Something is very wrong. Why is there no news about the players we haven’t signed.

What is a quality signing ? Is he a player who could hold his own in Div. 1 or maybe even the Championship but decides he wants to play in Div 2 ? We have had a few good loan signings and a few decent players coming through the U20s. Now let’s list the quality players we have signed in the last few years. That wouldn’t have taken long. Not through a lack of effort or ambition but because quality players have been snapped up before they need to consider Div 2. Success will come from what we have, maybe another couple of good U20s, loan signings and several new signings who will have been targeted as being able to fit into the style of play the manager wants.

Agree. We got away with one there. After going ahead and playing well we almost lost a goal immediately. Stenhousemuir took over the midfield and we never looked like solving the problem. The number of times Murdoch was left stranded in acres of space was scary. Not sure if Fleming was at fault for the goal but he had several great saves which kept us in the game.

Great to get a home win and keep on the coat tails of the top two. The plus sides were firstly that we competed well against some brutal treatment after how we were bullied at home by Bonnyrigg. Secondly, during the five minutes we played some decent football we got the winner. Apart from that our tactic seemed to be to bore Elgin to death. Whenever Elgin decided to chase our defence a bit the sphincter muscles tightened. Our central defence has been getting steadier by the game but yesterday struggled so badly against one up front. Just wish we had seen some sign of plan B at the start of the second half but we got there.

In the last couple of weeks we comfortably won two games. Forfar who we didn’t deserve to beat at Bayview and Bonnyrigg who gubbed us at Bayview. Although we lost yesterday we were away from home against one of the better teams in the league and despite the score we were as good as them. For now things are much more promising than three weeks ago.

A disappointing day. Started well and looked the better team. Although the goal should have been given as offside it was sloppy play which was repeated soon after and we could have been two down. From there it took us until the last ten minutes to figure out how to get past the half way line without punting the ball. Dumbarton were content to feed off our mistakes and should have had it sown up before we put any real pressure on them. It is very difficult to take the piss when you have lost but a brighter moment from the game was Wallace and Gemmell competing for the Mr Blobby trophy.

Not sure if that’s Dumbarton’s current team but most of the East Fife team do seem very young by comparison. After a wake-up call against Bonnyrigg they are starting to look like a team.

I don’t know Ally Love or whether he is a really nice guy or not. It was a bad tackle bordering on a red card but in a League 2 Saturday game it would have drawn a bit of discussion and been forgotten by Sunday night. As it’s one of the bigot brothers the police are looking for an attempted murder suspect.

It’s a pretty simple situation. We have a 51% owner. Do we really need a “potential investor” who needs advise on what that means. This is a 2nd Div. football club. Due diligence could probably be done in a morning. The potential investor would need to buy 51% or get on his bike. Maybe they have a master plan. Invest money in the club, increase the value of the 51% and then buy it.

We have experienced players. Any new signings are unlikely to be inexperienced youngsters. Any U20s in the squad will be there because the manager feels they are good enough. We are nowhere near having “ a team filled with u20 players”

These are just pointless questions. You are saying nothing. Being mid-table doesn’t mean there are no players capable playing in the first team.
