  1. My view is we're in position with no money and with recruitment in summer been bad part from docherty been our signing of the season and with the loss of Marshall then Barclay among the boardroom it's probably took its toll hit us hard to even get anyone and the position we are sat in league 2 it's probably not a predicatluar attractive location for any new player or any loan player going to East fife at the moment that's my take. I'm also bizarre we gave hambrook a contract extension like many of our subs this season they haven't merit, why? Unless it's finances and apprences that merit that but I know he's another one that's young footballer at the club that we have but I doubt he's sat the heather on fire at Linlithgow unless I have missed something. But it's really concern that it's now 24 days into a transfer window teams in our league have signed players ie Elgin, Clyde, Dumbarton etc and with the summer coming up aswell I really fear us if we do stay up what McDonald recruitment is like when Fleming and trouten hang up their boots. I like the manager and liked when he came to the club but we are paying £18 an entry fee and going nowhere under him sorry and everyone now strengthen we are where we are and that is to sign what we can I feel and it's good to have the youth set up but we have already got the best from there and haven't yet got any rewards of selling them like jude Smith so it's a worry on that front. Regarding Cunningham strange to recall him from his loan spell and not been used even from the bench but I think he found his level when with cowdenbeath and that's probably where the current manager feels he's at and he's there for the numbers like many of our subs this season sadly. It's clear we need strengthen but I feel we are living in hope like the manager has for this team and I know we aren't rich either but with the situation is clear if it wasn't for those 3 draws and winning at dumbarton into 2024 he was probably on the edge and should of been sacked at Dunbar alone!
  2. I echo what it’s not only a game gets my point going to Dumbarton hasn’t been great in the west over the years but part from recent wins or results recently it’s not been a great season in a whole Christ we were bookmakers favourites…we wasn’t good enough get promoted last season despite making the play offs and again it’s been another theme but unless he’s delivers us success as a manager my criticism and opinion remains the same and we probably need a rebuild do I trust his rebuild…no? Because the likes of trouten and Fleming aren’t getting any younger either and bringing up more youngsters than what we have is great and seeing local lads there is good but I think we have brought up the best in walls and Healy tbh and we’re in danger because we can’t afford what other clubs pay to bring in top players we’re in danger of been a Cowdenbeath fill team of youngsters and end up be like them, fade away like they did. But pointing me out because I want us to loose is nonsense I only see what I’m seeing and you just have to look at the club and take our black and gold specs off to see but I know loosing Marshall, Barclay in recent times and we have lost a lot diehards through the years the club will struggle without their help too but we’re better than this you know.
  3. Yeah hard place at the rock been there when we lost 5-0 before in recent times but our first victory in five years there and shown a bit form 4points out of 6 credit where it’s due it’s the consistency we need now. I still don’t like our manager as a manager I liked him as a player and I’ll reserve my criticism of him still unless he delivers the league 2 title and I’ll hold that thank you, but for this weekend let’s enjoy our win and move onto Clyde.
  4. We don’t do well at Dumbarton…so home win if we loose 5-0 here like usual he has to go I’m afraid! we are probably still riddled with injuries we were down to barebones up at Forfar last week and for the Bonnyrigg game the previous weekend.
  5. Yeah it’s been such a decline to those days that people forget Christ we were 5th in league one and yet Edinburgh city look like they are empty their senior players at that level probably the next club to save us. It’s the hope that’s killing the die hards and turn fans off like the B teams in lowland league tbh.
  6. Probably the right description of the match. Two teams with same ambition and we’re 7th and 8th sums up.
  7. I know we lack money at east fife but players we have aren’t going get us anywhere we weren’t good enough last season having made the play offs to get promoted and we requlish down beside Forfar and Clyde, a new manager with fresh ideas needed! We’re in danger of been a team of youth and go down like Cowdenbeath.
  8. no newsletter this Thursday/Friday I take it, maybe management is on thin ice going into new year let’s hope so. We definitely need new ideas from a new management team before any transfers happen no point bringing another Kieran Mitchell for the sake of it. All the best to team at Forfar…
  9. Yeah but I can’t see any improvement than promoting youths as a last resort and with so many injuries we will see more on Saturday amongst a poor team and manager out his depth, we are leaving it late for the board to make the call to call it a day until things get messy with Clyde adding players Elgin will do likewise results will improve for them we need a manager in to do business I don’t have faith in greig. So my take I would bring in a management team to get his players in January….that’s if we don’t leave it to late then.
  10. Could the Forfar game be signal to intent to change if we lose this game. I know the board are clinging to hope McDonald can somehow turn things around and make the play offs but we weren’t good enough to get promoted last season and we’re miles behind the play offs…? I thought losing to Bonnyrigg at home may have changed things and I know we have injuries it reminds me of van Bronckhorst era at rangers for McDonald at east fife, injuries and losing games being out his depth.
  11. A new management team first in foremost. left back centre back with pace and height wide midfielder 2 midfielders in centre of pitch two strikers to challenge fash and shepherd.
  12. Bonnyrigg 2 Spartans 1 Clyde 0 Stenhousemuir 1 Elgin 0 Peterhead 2 Forfar 3 East Fife 0 Stranraer 1 Dumbarton 1
  13. Mitchell likewise with the guys on bench are no better than what we have to dislodge fash, shepherd, Healy and shiavone. When he has opportunity he isn’t up to much I think it’s probably wise he’s here until January. Probably has pace like Healy has but like most of our wide midfielders have no end product he falls down the pecking order for me and his penalty miss in the shout out away to TNS sums him up with us.
  14. Merry Christmas to the fellow supporters on here. Hopefully our injuries clear up soon and move a couple on to bring in players hopefully, we are going be down to the barebones at Forfar giving his post match interview with docherty, comerford, Murray, slattery out and if the rumours are true I think I’m the only one that’s no getting my knickers in a twist as mcmanus has been here for two seasons despite been out under young tenure through injury this squad will need new blood things haven’t gone our way this season and we retain most of this squad bar Denham and hasn’t work, but again do I trust McDonald put that together; no? And it’s also time for change with the management team too. i’ll would also cancel Mitchell contract and send him on the 7 bus back along the road, to start January off aswell but again there’s players here that the manager looks who do we bring on and we’re in danger of just fielding youngsters for sake of it…Murray been injured mostly, Healy and newton gone backwards since their promotion, Ramsay gets the odd minutes, Rollo barely played first team probably our best back up at the minute, Cunningham found his level even at that still doesn’t get into Cowdenbeath XI and walls shows fashes when we’re on fire mean it’s good we have a path way into the first team but we probably promoted the best of the rest I think and we need to be looking elsewhere especially given injuries nows not the time. But again will another couple defeats convince the board times up and to get own fans on board under a new system, new management, new ideas we crave at the moment who knows.
  15. If 3-0 defeat to Bonnyrigg doesn’t change their mind I don’t know what will should of been shown the door at Dunbar.
  16. You would think after such a defeat as we had tonight. Right I’m going out this on here but we wasn’t good enough to get promoted via play offs last season and this year we aren’t good enough to make the play offs even if it’s mathematically possible to still reach them given how poor we’ve been is all to see with form only picking up wins against teams below us that have now changed their manager bar Forfar since. given our injuries there wasn’t page, comerford, Murray, slattery, docherty and had to make two early changes tonight but losing 3-0 was coming and if the fans on the board can see we need a new direction as McDonald isn’t up to much either going forward or even when the transfer window comes and we might even need a new team given the age of trouten and Fleming my worry I don’t trust him to get us out of this league or to build a new team. Also just lumping youngsters into this team isn’t the answer I don’t think there ready be thrown in or to fill the bench where there’s no one to bring on we need new blood in January, a new direction and tonight shows why and it’s not the first time it’s been same theme and story all season. my worry also is we in danger of getting to January and nothing comes out of it with teams below us (clyde) will bring in players no doubt we to count our losses with McDonald now before it’s to late but we will see we are in 7th and very cosy and content there to not part with any manager that’s been at east fife as a player the board will want to cling onto until it’s panic stations. Now we in the festive period I don’t think they will see the need to but will another defeat at new year change their mind I don’t know. Time is definitely up by all accounts and it’s not just the manager that needs to go we need freshness in the coaching staff and the playing squad. I know one guy that would and we need that’s available but would he come to us is another thing….
  17. couldn’t be arsed going today after another false dawn winning 4-0 last week how many times? East fife.
  18. Another 4-0 win last week to another false dawn….we are where we are because we aren’t good enough same reason we got beat by Dunbar and Bonnyrigg after winning. How many times?? meanwhile are rivals will be in premier league we are in a mini league with Forfar, Clyde, Elgin, Stranraer etc
  19. That brings me back to my point of (club) being too content of things. The last time we was this low was when Moffat/Derrick brown days were apong those years where we are and it shouldn’t be but I know January a hard market to come by and we’re 6th/7th but I can’t trust the current manager to paper over more cracks how many times has he been bailed out this season even the Scottish cup defeat to Dunbar! Clyde we picked up another win and went to Bonnyrigg get beat I have seen this movie already. I’m just saying but we though a win is a win today we shouldn’t be content. Greig being too loyal I just feel the job too big also and board is showing loyal of being content but of both on and off the field will cost the club. Though good get points today football a result business it shows.
  20. That’s been a story of false hopes, yeah I get we all thrilled we won today by same score line but we can’t accept to finish that low that’s my problem and problem most at east fife have.
  21. That’s the problem they wasn’t a obvious choice and that goes back to when they invited craw in, but feels we are going miss out and we will look back at another hit or miss opportunity at the moment.
  22. I can’t imagine dick calling it quits but to manager us we probably have to part ways with the current management and I doubt we will call it quits there unless things get any worser amongst the people upstairs…if tomorrow game does go ahead then it probably spark that conversation than I’m expressing here. One way aswell they will many clubs that will want dick to be their manager and he’ll have options. but you have to look at what he did with Arbroath and say it was some achievement.
  23. No real estimate of what we got remains private from what it says been a five figure fee plus the add ons I’m afraid but someone in ITK will say otherwise than myself. I’m like yourself all clueless surely we haven’t spunked that on bringing fash and Easton in and the player wages since.
  24. I agree with the £18 walk up fee it’s backfired with no success I’m a season ticket holder I’m at a point is it worth renewing it next season with all the points of club being stale and things adding up on and off the park. 1. poor management we currently sit 7th and sit on another false dawn and short of our aim (play offs) 2. The recruitment of the playing squad 3. fans on the board are happy 4. do I feel I can chuck any more money at the club or even put in a spare fiver towards this ownership with no plan if it will work 5. we will need a new squad next season I don’t think I can trust McDonald get that right? With him building this squad. 6. The whole thing of charging £18 over two seasons needs ditching now. One thing is that it is been a grim season to watch, things need to act quickly or we could join Cowdenbeath, Berwick etc in lowland league and thought of loosing even more supporters as we have had. it all comes back that we seem “content” but.
