I don't think anyone really wants this - there's just an odd wee minority of folk that bring it up because they don't like the way he was essentially chased out of the club/football in general. I'm sure they don't actually think he'd make a difference now. It still sticks in their craw and gets brought up as some daft point-scoring exercise - 'See what happens when you give in to the snowflakes?! We get RELEGATED!' etc.

Either way, it's best not to pay attention. As a general rule if someone tries to bring up Goodwillie still being able to do a job, give them the JC treatment and mute them. Life is so much better when folk that just try and stir shit are ignored.

There definitely is a few wanting to get him on the phone going by the owners forum.

  2. Actually laughing at him getting hung up on a few ex old firm players playing for us about 15 years ago 😂 must’ve got bullied at school by the old firm fans for supporting Morton, shouting in the playground “AT LEAST WE’RE A COMMUNITY SERVING CLUB LIKE STRANRAER AND ELGIN”

I think you need a fan base and a community around your club. I'm not sure where that lies with Clyde. You seem to still have a core support, but not sure where from. Rutherglen, Cumbernauld?

Definitely lost a few from Cumbernauld in our brexit style taking back control move to Hamilton so we can say we left broadwood on our terms. Another belter of a decision from our board.

You might still pull off an unlikely escape, but Brechin City have largely been living within their means. If they do not gain promotion this season I think they will still be well placed to have another go next season.

I'm sorry to say that Clyde look like a basket case if they go down.

I’m sure they do, when we played them earlier in the season they actually resembled a football team at least and do have some decent players. I’d suggest they’ll be back in the SPFL in the next 2-3 years max.

If you go into the lowland league, there’s only one way you go. Looking at the current table, all the teams relegated in are 10th or below…

The team that finishes bottom of league 2 and gets used to losing each week will struggle against a team winning the highland or lowland league who are winning each week. You can’t have blind hope of beating either East Kilbride or Brechin if we find ourselves in this situation we will go down.

I literally just said we’ve spent money to get out of this but it won’t happen, so I don’t have blind hope of anything.

    One player.

You guys have been blawing on about shipping out several players in the January window (on contracts - costs money) and bringing in a wheen of players (costs even more money).

    And?

It’s been fairly well spoken about that money has been put into us to try get out the situation we are, but ultimately won’t happen.

But don’t pretend like Brechin don’t have at least decent money going out, they also signed Lewis Martin from Kelty in the summer, and loans like Matthew Wright from Ross County and Luke Strachan from cove.

  7. For weeks now we’ve been having conversations like “if we win this then we have these home games” and “there’s a chance of taking something there”.

Stranraer had 1 win in 6 and 2 in 12 before yesterday, and we managed 1 shot on target all game. Looking at the stats and the highlights, it looks clear to me who wanted that more yesterday.

We’ll be lucky to take 2 points from the 2 home games coming, especially if we keep playing the same jobbers who got us here in the first place.

Frustration at conceding goals has no justification for throwing objects at players though does it? That surely doesn't happen every week?

If that's normal behaviour I think people should question if football is for them.

If anyone really believes someone has loaded his van in the morning to take to the football to purposely attack Clyde fans then I question their sanity.

There's clearly been an edge to the day/game and there will be blame on both sides let's not kid on all Clyde fans have turned up and behaved impeccably on the day after being on the swally for 5-6 hours pre game.

Let's live in the real world lads.

Nobody should be throwing objects at players either.

Whatever the reason someone has had a van full of golf clubs at the ground, you can’t justify using them to attack folk.

I don’t think anyone’s pretending there won’t have been Clyde fans giving it back to Stranraer fans during the game.
