  1. Good luck to Allan hopefully bangs in a few goals and helps you guys get up the league a bit. Just hasn't worked out for him at Falkirk. That said it's probably a move that suits all parties, he scores a few goals, gets you wins whilst putting himself in the shop window. He's still got 18 months on his contract.
  2. Feel a bit sorry for Allan but it just hasn't happened for him with us. If he does well at Clyde he puts himself in the shop window at least. Lawal must be next surely, at least Allan and McKay made the bench, Lawal has been nowhere near it.
  3. Only way I can see us bringing in another centre back is if Lawal goes out on loan. Midfield is where we have most bodies so I'd say he would be next out the door before Allan.
  4. The only issue with that is we let go someone who wasn't happy sitting on the bench albeit not the greatest centre half. Anyone coming in will need to be better than McKay (not that it would be too difficult) but be happy sitting on the bench. Any experienced defender probably doesn't want to do that so then your looking at a young centre back. Does he play before Mackie? I'll caveat that by saying we do need a centre half but more so if anything happens to McCann as Mackie is deputy there.
  5. I thought when he left Raith he was a certainty to join us given McGlynn's penchant for signing former players, and we needed a keeper. Not that I thought he was a world beater first time around but I don't think he'd have conceded some of the goals that the Long/Hogarth combo have. Although Long was good pre injury to be fair to him.
  6. Hamilton will drop points between now and the end of the season. We just need to match their results and it's done. Easily said ofcourse but Rankin will sabotage them if you believe their support. We have hit a bump in the road that ultimately has left us undefeated in the league and dropped 2 points and out a cup that we now aren't distracted with. f**k Hamilton, that pish they put out about signing our players I hope has been pinned to the dressing room wall for shits n giggles.
  7. See if we had been playing shite for weeks I'd be more concerned, Edinburgh was entirely on McGlynn not having any respect for them and thought he could pick any personnel and all we had to do was turn up and win. He accepted he'd fucked up. Today was a cup game on a tattle field against a side used to playing on it, we still should have had enough to win ofcourse we should have but cups throw up shocks and today we were one of them. It happens. I'll not panic just yet we are still 9 points clear in the league. We move on to Alloa and hopefully the three points.
  8. I don't think Hogarth is any better tbh I still say Long is the better out the two overall. BUT it just makes it all the more galling that we never signed an experienced keeper in the summer.
  9. We were bound to lose a game at some point. Rather it was in the cup than league. We have no divine right to win any game and given the cup runs we have had in recent times it's a lot more than most clubs get. Aye it's a shit result but the league is the priority, time to get back on the horse starting at Alloa.
  10. I think it'll have softened up but not so sure it won't still be like concrete underneath. Might be patches that are ok but others still solid. If the ref thinks it's a risk for player safety it'll be off.
  11. I don't think anyone is ITK to what his wages actually are but knowing that c**t Holt they must have been decent enough to chuck a three year deal at him from Inverness to ensure he signed for us.
  12. Ironic that we have a major doubt at centre half on the day when McKay finally pisses off. I don't think it's Mackie it'll be Lang or Donaldson.
  13. Thank f**k. Although at least he's made the bench recently. Lawal is so far out the picture he'd be aswell standing in the car park.
  14. Haha it would just be like the cnut to score against us from a set piece for that reason I hope we have a clause that says he can't.
  15. I'd take him over Jordan Allan even if he has lost pace.
  16. Made worse by Totten wiping the tape I fell over three seats and landed in a puddle freezing cold n zero fucks given when that happened. Simply magnificent.
  17. Can we move away from who pays what for a second and since it's the January transfer window can someone put a pair of eyes and a pen hither to a signing or even better a trebuchet with McKay in it. It's too quiet on that front and I miss the excitement!
  18. Hastie was decent at Motherwell, but his career has kind of petered out. He should be a decent signing for league 1 level you'd think. As for Hylton I don't think many will touch him after having a rammy on the park with a team mate.
  19. He isn't. At least not to them. He'll end up down south that's where the cash is. but I don't see us selling anyone this window unless it's a very very good offer. If anybody has to leave this window I'd rather it be Allan, Lawal and McKay and they are more likely to be loans.
  20. I'll caveat that by saying if Allan doesn't start at Bonnyrigg he's almost certainly away if he wasn't already.
  21. They are obviously deemed not good enough to replace the likes of O'Hara, Mumbongo, Zanatta. I'd swap Alfie for a currently injured Scott Martin if push came to shove.
  22. Let's not forget Gretna. Who basically signed anyone on decent wages as long as Brooks had his toys and endless cartons of cigarettes to play with a day
  23. He was a decent player him tbh very impressive when you played Airdrie in the playoff final.
