    I still think we're only 3 players short LB , CB and maybe a CM. O'connor is here to play and I reckon he's a straight swap for Smith. I want more depth but ultimately I'm not overly worried the now. If we don't bring in a left back and a speedy CB I'll be worried , that's my main areas of concern.

    To be fair I know nothing of mortons financial state but I would be surprised if our budget was bigger than an established championship team with bigger attendances...as much as it pains me to say. I think this will be another lean season for a lot of clubs on the signing front.

    I think fellows will be a back up. Agree on O'connor think he looks like a straight swap for smith. Hard to gauge based on the opposition but he looks OK. Aiken I don't really remember doing much but again it's just a friendly. Priority for me is still a left back and another CB with pace. Anything on top of that and I'll be happy.

    Simmer down man... Game was played at a canter and was fairly enjoyable. A good show of fitness if nothing else.

    100 percent this. Thistle and ICT both lost a tonne of money this year but were bailed out by cup games.

    Pretty sure he was watching them play in that European youth Cup run they had. Again it might be difficult to compare but I'd reckon that tournament would have a decent standard. I'm not saying they will be absolute world beaters, just that I don't think they will be here to make up the numbers.

    Aye I'm hopeful they will be. First message I got from a hibbee was that they would be comfortable starters regardless of what league we ended up in. Probably do need a another midfielder, but that left back position gives me the fear , and a CB with a bit of pace would be my priority.

    All joking aside id take 8th right now and be happy with that. On recruitment, I think we get carried away a bit and forget players actually have to want to sign for us and then we actually have to be able to pay more than others. I do think our budget will be bigger this year which will be good , but its probably still less than most in the league. We're still a left back and CB short from having an "ok" team that would hopefully keep us up. Add anything else on top of that and I'd be happy. I don't want us to go away and spew wages at has beens and risk the sustainability of the club. I think the hibs boys that are in are here to play, and from what I've heard from a few hibs boys I know they will be a good addition.

    Assuming we probably have some bounce games/closed door games over the next week or so , as well as this weekend super cup special, I would be shocked if we haven't got trialists at these games. I don't mind the pen being out for youngsters cause it's good for them, they've earned a contract. It's not gonna get anyone excited , but it shows we are at least trying to build for a future. All that being said I wouldn't mind seeing the pen this week and it being a good experienced left back...

    Glad that's the season ticket announcement out the way. Home strips next please...modelled buy a world class (scottish championship) left back, and an away top modelled by a CB or CM , either will be fine.

    I'd be keen for an older left back , maybe someone in their mid to late 20's. We conceded too many crosses from the left last year that I'd want someone with a bit more experience.

    Dont think he will be a starter , maybe one we will be look to develop over a season or two, all the best to him. However... Announce Gabby , and over the next 2 weeks get some championship level players in. Ally roy, Kurtis Roberts, Paul Mckay...time to come home lads

    Thats fine buts it's not really "silence" from the club is it ? Folk just want to moan about anything in close season ! Anyway... Cant wait to see Kurtis Roberts in the background of today's pre season training photos !

    Pretty much the same for me, if we don't re-sign Telfer i actually think we need 2 CMs , same with CB , to be fair we need someone as good as Fordyce in case the unthinkable happens and he gets Injured. Whether or not there's a player on the market who fits the bill and wants to sign for us is another thing.
