They showed an actual proper image from a proper high angle with the lines during the game, which showed it was offside. They also showed it to the ref at least twice during the review (minus the lines). We therefore don't need to be analysing this image from a non-straight angle.

Hendry was in an offside position, I'd say that is the one absolutely undeniable fact surrounding this decision.

If that’s the case, how was he interfering with play?

    I have, several times.

But since you're struggling, he's standing right in front of the keeper stopping him jumping for the ball. For good measure he also gives him a wee shove as the ball nears but he'still interfering even if he doesnt do that.

Missed this cracker. You clearly are at it. The goalkeeper was closer to the ball as it was coming into the box, could have jumped, punched it, or whatever else. If you think a raised arm could have stopped a professional goalie from jumping out to it, I don’t know what else to say to you.

Jesus man, you don't understand the offside law at all if you think for a player to be interfering with play they need to be committing a foul.

He wasn’t in the goalies line of sight, didn’t even attempt to go for the goalie or the ball; he raised an arm while jostling. That is not interference.

I aporeciate I've already set a red dot site record most likely but thst photo is hardly definitive. Its not in line with the last man and its not high enough to even see Hendry.

Is he the invisible man all of a sudden? Where are Hendry’s legs? Can you even see him? The only player you see is the Spanish one. If Hendry was offside, you’d see a part of him past the last defender, but you don’t, so once again you are talking absolute horsehockey.

Keeper decided retreating into the goal was the best decision. Have to respect that level of stupidity.

Cause he had no fucking way of saving it. Fair fucks if Hendry pushed the goalie into the net but he barely brushed him with his pinky and that somehow constitutes a foul? Sounds legit.

  6. The goalkeeper could have rammed right through Hendry if he had the slighest chance of saving it, and would have got a foul for him as a bonus. Hendry was not fouling him in any way shape or form, and if anyone thinks he did, they should just give up on Football now.

I've never said otherwise. There's clearly been a horrendous communications mix up somewhere whatever they gave. IF they gave a foul thats an absolute joke of a decision.

He is interfering with play though so if offside (which it appears he was) then it should be ruled out.

How on earth is he interfering with play? Explain it.

If it is indeed a foul, then VAR's involvement was totally improper.  If there's a foul there, it's of the softest possible variety and VAR is well outwith its expected involvement.

It’s not even a foul ffs. There was nothing there at all. If it’s a foul, then what for? And if it was offside, there was no involvement or impediment from Hendry. Both scenarios don’t hold up to scrutiny at all.

Can’t believe some folk can’t accept any other explanation other than potential corruption.

Oh yeah, cause every ref in the history of football is above reproach in that regards. Especially when Spain are involved.

Indeed. I regularly comfortably reach for a ball the other side of a 6ft 4 man standing relatively passively right in front of me.

Honestly, the ability of fans to not see what they dont want to see is endless.

The offside itself is very tight. The only angle I saw looks just off. I assume they've got the lines right. But if he is offside, he's definitely interfering.

Last time; how was he interfering?

As you can see here the ref clearly has his left hand in the air to signal an indirect free kick for offside (if you're Guillem Bawbag)

Ah yes, Skyline will still say that’s the signal for offside right enough. Jesus wept.

The lines wouldn’t be there, so that doesn’t prove or disprove anything.

VAR determines offside position as a matter of fact. If (and I stress if) that happened, he informs the referee who then decides if there’s interference. The lines aren’t needed for that.

What interference? Genuinely, how did he interfere with the play?
