  1. I'll stand by what I said.  Last year was totally different.  It was one of the best, if not the best day I've ever had supporting Brechin.

But we were playing well, we had belief in the team and more importantly the manager.  Most of us want this manager sacked and the outcome on Saturday won't change that.

Maybe I'm getting (more) miserable in my old age, but this has nowhere near the same feeling as last year.

I'm not sure how you lot manage to get out of bed in the morning.

I manage just fine.  We're not trying to just get a few pots for the trophy cabinet,  the goal was to get promoted.

Buckie have only taken 3 points on one Saturday since February 17th, and that includes losing against Clach, Lossie and Wick. If any team is capable of crashing into the final hurdle, it's Buckie.

It doesn't really matter. We'd get lumped by East Kilbride the way we are playing.  We've not been good enough for months.

Winning the league would be meaningless if we don't go up.

Okay lads I know most of you don’t like my comments on here, but looks like another season in the Highland league due to a poor appointment by the board.

    Price is useless

We used to play nice football on the deck and out pass the opponents and score for fun against the lesser teams and hardly concede. We were top goalscorers last season and the meanest defence, since Price has come in it is high balls up to Louden which most teams mop up and we struggle to create and score goals. Also our defence has become really soft and easy to score against.

Buckie have played 5 games in 10 days so far and are scoring for fun and hardly conceding.

We are going to lose 75% of our players next season because they don’t like Price, surely the board should be doing something about this,or are they enjoying the money from Price.

When Simmo was in charge for the 2 games in between managers the attitude of the players was spot on , since Price has come in the players are just going through the motions wanting the season to end.

I know there is one game left with us having the most difficult game I don’t think we will beat Brora as Price doesn’t know how to set up and beat the bigger teams.

Im sure come Saturday night there will be more gripes when we could even finish 3rd.

Hard to argue with any of that

Lads you're six points clear with four games to go.

Not sure what more Price could be doing at this stage, or what more you want.

He may not be as popular a figure as Andy Kirk who was a very likeable guy, he may not get your side past East Kilbride in its present form. Time will tell. The job of the Brechin manager is to wion the league and make the play-off, it's a lottery after that.

Hope City make it back anyway despite the current discontent being expressed by many.

If Stewart Petrie quit Montrose tomorrow would you be happy if Gavin Price was his replacement?

That second half was a tactical disaster of which Price took no responsibility.

One thing about Kirk when things didn't go to plan was his ability to include himself in the criticisms  and explanations of what he was trying to achieve. That to me is man management as players could  see that he was as much part of the squad as they were.

Totally agree.  It wasn’t just late on in the game either.  They were all over us from the first minute of the second half.  For most of the time after the equaliser we were hanging on and the winner when it came had been coming.

Are Brechin fans finally appreciating Gavin Price's man management and tactics or is he still a useless tosser by only winning 5-1?

He’s a useless tosser and no amount of beating Turriff will change that.

Answer the very straightforward question please.

It’s only the referee who thought it was unplayable.  Everybody else thought it was ok.  The extra hour and a half was  to satisfy him and him only.

Or Grady's thrown the toys out the pram?

I think that’s unfair. There’s no evidence of that, everything points to him being desperate to play.  He might not have been at his best today but he was clearly really keen to score.  And he probably wasn’t at his best because he’s been on the bench for six weeks.

We just need a Plan B...

I'm not one to advocate getting rid of managers, he just needs to figure out a different way of playing that we can change in game, when things aren't going to plan.

We'll have to do it eventually. He's going to fail. We might as well bin him now before it's too late.

She's run the line at a Clach game too, did fine, hate that phrase but lino's even worse and lineswoman or linesperson just sounds silly. Maybe lino is the only way. 😬

Assistant referee is the correct term these days I guess.

    Well done to Clach 😉

How did the ref do? I know* she was a woman, just interested in how she did versus other refs you've had.

*From the SFA list of a few days ago.

She did ok. Probably should have given us a free kick which then led to the Wick goal.  Think the players were more inclined to treat her with a bit of respect than other refs.

She has run the line at Brechin before and has reffed plenty other games.  I know her Mum and she was a referee as well.

  13. It seems pretty clear now Price has no intention of starting Grady in any games.  If we win the league and get promoted fine he can say he was right.  If not,  then he is under huge pressure.  He already doesn’t really have the confidence of the fans and he’s put himself in the position of being one bad result away from there being a clamour to get him sacked.

Tayport, Fort William and Golspie Sutherland are also licensed; although unless there are masses of points deductions for other clubs, aren't going to be winning any leagues.

Aye of course I meant of the teams in the running to win leagues

Apologies if mentioned elsewhere, what's the state of play for the three leagues below the HL and feed in.

Are all three of the leaders/potential winners able to come up?

Only Lochee United currently have a license that would allow them to get promoted.

I never watched, were there critical comments by any chance?

There were one or two when I saw them earlier.  It’s the guy from the P and J asking the questions and it’s basically just getting his thoughts on the game.  Without asking the question about a guy who has over 60 goals in under two seasons sitting on the bench.
