Gave up smoking a year and a half ago and haven't had any alcohol since start of June. I'd never smoked or drank in the house really so the pub used to be where I headed when I fancied a fag in the evenings or at weekends and I carried on visiting the pub three or four nights a week after giving up the fags, loved a wander up the road for pint after getting home from work. Lockdown of course stopped that and while I had a few drinks in the house early on I soon realised that it wasn't the drink I missed it was chatting to the regulars in my local, and it was a habit rather than a need for a drink. By the time the pubs reopened I'd lost the desire to go for a pint, I played a lot of golf in the summer and would often walk past people sitting having a few beers outside the clubhouses - don't think I was ever tempted to have a beer myself. While I wouldn't say I've stopped drinking I'm certainly in a place where I can't see me ever being a regular in a pub again and that was where I did all my drinking.

One of mine - this was on a Saturday afternoon in March when Dundee v Dunfermline was cancelled and I had to find something to do with my day - taken from the Bank of Scotland hide at Montrose Basin. I'd only ever caught a brief glimpse of a kingfisher before - this one hung around for about half an hour.

I'm a professional, was doing Airdrie v Perterhead for one of the national papers, but yesterday helped clear the head after being at the end where most the goals weren't going in at Tynecastle on Friday.

I photographed the game yesterday - impressed with Carrick and I've got lots of pics with Fordyce in them (which usually means he was involved a lot). First time I've been at Airdrie in a few years, enjoyed the match and you deserved the win. You can see my pics here

That was a cracking Spiders team - I wasn't a very good photographer back then but I enjoyed photographing those games

Hasn't had his teeth whitened - he wears a gumshield after having them knocked out at Dens in his last match for us against Hamilton

I used to hate this tournament when our first team played in it - A 1-0 first round defeat away at somewhere like Falkirk or Dunfermline was what I would have been happy with most seasons. But I've absolutely loved our under 20s/21s taking part in it, losing in extra time to Cove a couple of seasons ago, coming back from 3-0 down to narrowly lose 3-2 to Alloa last season and last night's penalty win against the last 20s league champions have all been cracking games. Most fans/players don't care about this but it was obvious last night that both Dundee and Hibs' kids cared a lot - loved it.

The pole the pole its dairusz the pole, fucking great boy for us. Pretty sure Dariusz didn't play (for either side in that match at Tannadice - he was still a Dundee player) - he was sent off at Dunfermline a couple of weeks before this game and was suspended until the second last game of the season - his only involvement in our cracking run of five wins and a draw which earned fifth place was 14 minutes as a sub against Dunfermline in the last game of that run.

Nope - no pen' saves that day - it was indeed while the Coxie and Shankly were being built in 1999 and was the only game we played at Tannadice as a home game. Iain Anderson gave us the lead midway through first half - Tony Vidmar equalised for them early in the second half

Some of the goal differences seem odd - St Mirren three draws and it has goal difference as 5:2?

Not sure about the new 'reserve league' - last I heard was you had to play at least 5 over 20s though there have been changes to original info sent to clubs so that may not be the case now - this boy, though, has been signed to play for James McPake's under 18 side in the new under 18s league

He's been signed to play for the (new) under 18 side - we didn't currently have a keeper who was eligible to play at that age level

He'd kick his granny to win a ball - when he heads the ball it stays headed and he takes (normally) thunderous and (occasionally) very clever free kicks, a year in the championship could well be the making of him.
