  1. Aberdeen's squad will look a hell of a lot better if they get a proper manager in imo. While the Premiership is riddled with one-season wonders (which Duk, Clarkson and Barron all could be*), if the right manager comes in then you'd have to imagine that front five will keep them out of danger. Massive caveat is that Aberdeen haven't proven themselves to be good at appointing the right manager of late.
  2. Seems to be quite a mix of experiences. As long as you had 12+ points and logged in at 12pm it really was a lottery as to how you'd get on.
  3. Yip mine got rejected first of all, then I couldn't do another order because it said my code was already in use. By the time I got back in, the Fans First were sold out for Hungary and Switzerland but got one for Germany (the important one). Not that fussed for the sake of 60EUR but my dad managed to get Fans First for all three so might be asking to swap phones for the other two games...
  4. There's definitely an element of the Online Fans going in harder on an unfashionable player, but he is lacking as a player at the elite level despite having a lot of great attributes. Ten Hag clearly thinks that his strengths are outweighing his weaknesses, though, and I'm delighted that he's proving people wrong.
  5. Missed a McSauce masterclass for an Emery masterclass. I absolutely love watching this Villa team, especially at Villa Park. Some terrifically fun and different players, great shape on and off the ball from Emery, and they're led by Super John McGinn. The best team in the Premier League to watch so far this season.
  6. Which first half to opt for: Christie in the deeper role or Gilmour for Brighton?
  7. I'm loathed to talk about loyalty when plenty of folk just use Scotland trips as an excuse to "git away fae the missus."
  8. 24 hour delay would suit me best
  9. Yeah it's really just the categories I'm worried about. It's better than Euro 2020 when we were stressing over actually getting tickets, at least.
  10. So if I'm buying for him or he's buying for me then we'll need to make three purchases on one account, then log out, log into the other account and buy three more tickets?
  11. Can you only buy tickets separately for two different adults? I seem to remember my dad being able to buy for both mine and his SSC account at the last Euros but could be wrong.
  12. Would you rather be rooted to the bottom or rooted to Heckingbottom? I'd opt for the former tbh.
  13. Funny that Dream Scenario lost you after a while, as the trailer actually had the exact same effect on me. It started with the tone of a somewhat unnerving black comedy before giving off "Feel-good movie of the year!" vibes which is why I never bothered with it.
  14. Chelsea v Brighton would've been my pick. Brighton are one of the most interesting teams in the league and haven't had a televised PL game in two months; today was West Ham's fourth in that time.
  15. Sky picking the fourth-most interesting of the 2pm games was strange before today. Now they just look like even stupider.
  16. Don't think I've ever seen as steep a jump in ticket prices as those for the opening game. Kinda makes you sick of football tbh.
  17. Could tell it was his first start in a while as his touch let him down a few times and made some iffy decisions defensively (though that part of his game pre-injury). Still showed signs of what made him so exciting previously.
  18. One thing that could go in our favour regarding Hungary is that I reckon some folk will tip them as dark horses, so an embarrassing group stage exit would be inevitable if they are. Playing in the opening game will be absolutely class, but it will mean that we'll be subjected to the opening ceremony.
  19. Really excellent performance. Queens fans understandably angry but our football has been very fun to watch - best we've been all season.
  20. It tends to have more chat about allocations, venues, travel routes etc than on here which I find quite useful, and the Scottish Players in Action thread tends to pick up some things that don't get mentioned in the TA forum here. I wouldn't post on it, but it does serve a purpose imo.
  21. Another cruel blow for the "VAR works on the continent" losers
  22. After a bright start, I felt that we began to lose control of the game once Annan got one back, mostly because we struggled to hold onto the ball.
  23. Not many positives aside from the result and Falkirk dropping points, but I was happy to see Redfern back, even if it was a strange time to reintroduce him. Providing he's able to get back to what he was good at, it gives us a wee bit more depth out wide and subsequently in midfield as he's most capable of replicating Barjonas' role which should allow Barjonas to move into the middle if necessary.
  24. He's not been great but I think he's brought more to the table than Patterson. He can cross, is dangerous from set-pieces and is a marginally more reliable defender. Everton's results have improved since moving Young to RB and bringing in Mykolenko at LB, and while I won't claim that that's because Patterson's been dropped (they've won the two games he's started since then), I think it's unfair to class Dyche as a "fanny" because he's sticking with a defence that has got him results. I also don't think we've seen it have an effect on his confidence as he put in a pretty good performance against West Ham after losing his place then, imo, generally did well against Norway too (though I know others disagree with that).
