  1. I see the re-arranged date is scheduled for Tuesday 31st January, which is just before our Friday night TV fixture vs Ayr United and would mean three games in seven days. Coyle was keen to make wholesale changes vs Raith Rovers due to the Wednesday to Saturday turnaround ahead of last week's league fixture, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us play a weakened side if this does get postponed.
  2. I was surprised that we didn't look to stream tonight's game. I think the 'home' club can stream five games out with the blocked times, so maybe the club are waiting to see if more appealing games transpire as the season unfolds. Although, it's a 'use them or lose them' situation, and surely we don't want to move away from a Saturday 3pm anymore than we have to (it's bad enough already). With the Dundee game now also moved out with the restricted streaming times, and considering the size of their fanbase, I assume it's a no-brainer to set up a PPV for that game.
  3. Zero were sold last night when I checked, and now apparently 237 away tickets have been sold in 24 hours...
  4. Thanks - appreciate that. I make zero apologies for those unintentional savage remarks about the Falkirk defender! Complete out of my comfort zone stuff to be doing the commentaries and I was very apprehensive about doing so at first as I knew a friend of mine, and to many fellow supporters, would’ve had the gig to himself if he was still with us today – and he would’ve absolutely bossed it. It has been an honour and privilege to be able to do, and Keith and I have burst our balls to try and make it as bearable and informative as possible for all supporters – particularly during the lockdown periods. A bit sad that it looks to have to come to an end now. A massive thanks to Keith, my stand-in when I was unable to attend, and the full team behind the cameras and laptops who have upskilled to provide an in-house stream that was one of the best in the lower leagues. Bravo! Thoroughly enjoyed this! Keep them coming.
  5. The oncoming Clyde player wearing no.10 was listed as no.19 on the teamsheet.
  6. With the goalkeeper out, it would need to be Elsdon (no.26) playing McHugh on - it is a tight call.
  7. I understand we are outside the registration window for recalling loan players for them to be eligible for league (and potential play-off) games. Clyde were penalised for doing this a few years back.
  8. FWIW - the stream is pretty decent compared to others at our level and includes replays.
  9. As far as I am aware there is currently no inspection planned. I understand the pitch was deemed playable yesterday and the forecast looks to be favourable at the moment.
  10. Cheers for the comments - it was total disbelief and most enjoyable!
  11. Muir was shown a red card at full-time last week, almost certain he will be suspended.
  12. Are people still listening to that drivel?! Anyway, it was initially questioned by my esteemed colleague if it was his face, but unfortunately a scream like that suggested much worse than a ball hitting the player's face. It was quite a chilling sound to hear. We both concluded it appeared to be his knee. Hopefully Quitongo makes a speedy recovery - he has been a joy to watch in a Queen's jersey and has injected excitement into such an unexciting way of watching the sport we love.
  13. It's hard to tell if it's strictly true, but it's an oberservation I have picked up on when I have tried to predict opposition line-ups. FWIW, Cowden actually made four changes to their starting XI between Tuesday and Thursday, with four regular starters restored to the starting line-up against Stenny. Stirling did similar with regulars McGregor, Wilson Moore, Byrne, Ryan dropping to the bench against the Spiders then back in the following game. It might just be a result of minor injuries or squad rotation given the crazy fixture congestion.
  14. You will be gutted we did not use the stat that there are six bowling clubs within a mile radius of Hampden Bowling Club then... Thanks for the feedback, and on the commentary, without watching it back, the balance was probably a bit heavy towards the chat side compared to our previous live stream and we will take this on board going forward.
  15. http://www.qpfc.com/appearances/g/granta.htm Before my time but shirt number suggests a forward player.
  16. Everytime I've ran the Southside Six before the race numbers have been picked up before the start in the glasshouse. Hope you like running up a load of steps after 16 miles of punishment! Great race/event, gutted not to be running it this year but also releaved as I would've been setting a personal worst. Every run feels like a comeback at the moment. This sums up my running the past year or so:
  17. A long awaited return to Pollok parkrun for me after my last visit resulting in an injury and DNF about 3 months ago! I was keen to set a benchmark time as I've been pleased with how things have been going recently and fitness improving. Very pleased with a 21:36 time and felt I paced it pretty well. I've always had the issue of taking over people on inclines and them taking over me on the downhills, for some reason this bugged me this morning. Am I the only person that runs uphills and downhills at a consistent pace? I feel the shorter distance is kinder on my knee, but I've always enjoyed the physical and mental challenges from longer runs. I reckon I'll concentrate on getting closer to my 5k PB (18:58) for now before considering any longer races. Just happy to be running injury free and without (much) pain.
  18. Where's the fun in that? Muddy trails are the way to go, all the more challenging without trail shoes!
  19. I'm also a Strava user, I'm not sure if this will take off but no harm in trying. I've setup a Strava group to hopefully keep motivation up and give out kudos: https://www.strava.com/clubs/pieandbovril
  20. Good to see this thread is active at the moment and that a few of the guys from when I used to post have improved. Ditto! I checked the weather forecast in the morning and was dressed appropriately for sunny but cloudy running conditions...I arrived home looking like a drowned rat - character building! I'm currently trying to build a decent base fitness after damaging my ankle ligaments (for the fifth time!) and piling on the weight. I hate starting a run at a previously 'easy' pace and then to be completely gasping after 1km. In terms of a comfortable running pace I've probably lost 1 minute per km (and my 5k time agrees). I normally wear a patella knee strap on my right knee, I used to find it lessened the pain I suffered (only after exercising and mainly when going up and down stairs). I've tried specific stretches suggested to me, but I'm not convinced they helped and take joint supplements, again not convinced. I still get pain and that's probably been for about two years now. I struggle to do squats, not because of pain, more so because there's no purchase from the knee to push upwards. Like Stu I'd be open to other suggestions, but I think I'm a lost cause as most of my family have required knee operations at relatively early ages.
  21. I look forward to your report. I love this race - mud, hills, steps, hills, steps and a 'sprint finish' of more hills and steps, what's not to like? Having become a fatty the past few months I found the race a to be real struggle and was crawling from midway onwards and finished over 20 minutes slower than last year, but I still love it, possibly more so because of the novelty of having a race local to where I live and often run.
  22. Strong winds and heavy rain...it must be the weekend!!
  23. Going quicker than BishyTON at a parkrun! Managed to enter myself, but unable to reserve on behalf of my friend (who's currently on holiday). Have you entered? It's a great race.
