  1. I think we have to stay positive and put all talk of phones behind us.... Lets beat these Brockville Bast..rds
  2. The light blue matches the blue in the badge #eyefordetail
  3. It was a pisser of a decision right enough....fat dude with slicked down hair....
  4. The ice rink end at the old Muirton Park was always a familiar sight. Its car park was used by supporters when matches were played.
  5. I remember coming out of the Playhouse in Perth after seeing Quadraphedia in the early 80s. There were mods at one end of the street on their scooters and bikers at the other end staring each other down. It was like walking back into the movie. Fun times!!
  6. Isn't it a pity that every week aint like the week before a Scottish Cup Final...with your team in it.... Yes, it may be nerve racking... but lets enjoy every second!! Doesn't happen very often....(.....at least for us....)
  7. Don't think either set of fans can feel confident going into this game. Utd have some history of winning big games. We don't - and we tend to f**k things up on big occasions ...as a long time Saints supporter this is what I am use to. We've beaten them 3 times this season - they finished higher up the league than us. However on the day anything can happen!! Both teams have got players that can do the job.....just depends who can do it on the day. (My mantra - just got to enjoy it...and hope for the best!!)
  8. Seems like there is a completely new level of buzz for this game and all things St Johnstone. As a long time supporter, through the good times and the bad times, its great to see ....
  9. Smoking was thought to be good for your health back in those days.......
  10. Strange to think that when Muirton was built it would have been on the outer edge of Perth!
  11. Per the official site Muirton Park had dog racing, athletics, hockey internationals, Highland Games, cattle sales, pageants, donkey racing and at least two re-enactments of the Battle of the Clans over the years to make extra cash. I also remember in the 70s they had a plan to introduce some sort of pony and trap racing too - though I dont think that lasted long.
  12. The Recreation Ground wasn't on the south inch. It was opposite the prison...I think there is a petrol station there now...or was....
  13. Loved going to East End Park - great atmosphere. Seem to remember the uncovered terracing behind the goal being ultra steep.
  14. Muirton Park in 1962. The game where Dundee won the Championship...and Saints were relegated. The largest crowd at Muirton was 29,972 also against Dundee in 1951.
