He obviously doesn't like being questioned or shouted at from the touchlines and he decided Syme had fouled a Hurlford diver with a shoulder charge and they scored from the penalty. An otherwise excellent even match between two exciting attacking teams.

The Refuseniks have a variety of gripes which led them to take the stand they have adopted and having publicly stated their intention to only attend Away games they will find it psychologically difficult to now change their behaviour, I believe it is called cognitive dissonance but I've heard it called differently, some even call it madness but I don't ascribe to that theory, I just think they have evolved into a different species, like donkeys wanting to play with the zebras but cheer on the lions, oh! how their heids must hurt.

It seems he is only 17 and a Buffs fan. He's just moved up from the Youth leagues and is not their first choice keeper, but after today's match he should be. Shots and crosses were coming in from all angles and he dealt with them very well considering his relative inexperience.

You muddied the waters there ... when was he at Meadow, last season? George Grierson brought him to the Buffs after winning promotion, then he went Ardeer, Winton and Meadow. When did he play for Ladeside?

Rossvale may be firm favourites today but Dalry can only move up one place mid-table if they win so it might just be the best chance for the manager to give a game to all the young unproven lads and who knows what will happen. C'mon Dalry! Finish in style ..

I think I've cracked it .... There must be 2 Darren Millers. There was one who played for Buffs, Ardeer, Winton and Meadow. Is he the man of too many clubs? If that's him he was a fair enough player but his temper let him down, especially when he over-criticised his own team-mates Stomping Daffy Duck style. Don't remember him being an Official abuser though.

I can recommend this site http://www.oldmapsonline.org/ Various football grounds are shown on maps covering the 20th century including one at the Blacklands opposite the Institute, the Woodwynd ground behind the Morrisonian Church at the junction of the Woodwynd with the new Lauchlan Way town centre by-pass.( now Woodburn Ave) The Abbey Park is shown as being the northern half of 2 plots, the Garnock side one having a Gasometer on it and the Abbey side being known as The Butts ( for Archery Practice and later Gun shooting practice.) I couldn't find the one behind Howie's Garage on any map yet I remember its existence prior to the new house building.
