Gave it a miss today after too many poor home performances; but happy with the result.

For me, McKay is not a good enough footballer to play at this ( fairly low) level. He has some positive physical attributes and a bit of a throw; but is found wanting in so many areas.

Brutal today

Diamonds were dire first half. Foxed by crowding keeper tactic and then closed down at the back to the second. That aside Stranraer had few opportunities. Looked so much better in the second half with Roberts in the midfield. Drive and efforts on goal that were lacking in the initial period. A pick each week please IM

Dilemma here. A draw lets me 'tick off' an elusive away venue.

Happy with the result today; could easily have been against us. A lot happened on our left where Thomson was playing wing back. Good going forward and tries defending;but caught out a few times. As in the first goal. Gallacher's second strike was a peach.

thought the boys hands were by his side DGW probably chancing his arm , the airdrie claim did look a good shout from our end , but referee closer Thought Airdrie’s shout was a definite - I was fuming at McStay for charging in like that! Are rational commentators like yourselves not discouraged?? Doubt your views would stand scrutiny amongst some of our more forthright, and partisan, opinions! I'm with you though. Seen too many games to think otherwise.

Small point. Referee booked Thomson who looked to be caught in the box ( right in my eyeline) , but not Goodwillie who took a tumble under lesser contact. He was a bit of a diddy all day I thought.

Airdrie were flat in the first half and the absence of a substitution at half time was a concern, but things were turned round in the end. Thomson was superb in the second period and take a bow Callum Gallgher for the sublime winner.

A disappointing start to the season against a side that clearly has designs on repeating last season’s play-off achievement. Cited from Club's match report and difficult to challenge. Need more invention from midfield if we are playing 3 up top. Not convinced Gallacher is a capable wide man,

Hopefully he’s better than his brother anyway... A rather low bar there though!
