  1. Welcome to league 2 guys

As I said long long ago the guy is not good enough, I know your pain 2 games we won in a season and he was the only guy Covid saved.

He hated criticism that much he called a meeting 2 weeks before he left to join you guys, with 8 of us to explain his circumstances ie no budget etc, I would love to hear him now that he has a bigger budget and still churning out shite. One of his statements was “ I have the ability and believe In myself that I could coach in the SPFL Premiership you just need to ask guys like Ryan Stevenson he says I am the best coach he has ever worked with” I am sorry but I am loving seeing the situation he is in, the guy just ruins good clubs.

Geggan. Jobber of a hard man who’s out his depth

Boyle. Never good enough. Arrogance beyond belief and he’s defending is terrible.

Paton. Ended up not being our worst player today but he doesn’t help matters in midfield. He offers nothing and is absolutely shite.

Faz tactics are non existent. Just as well we start games with nothing cause if we could defeat ourselves I’m pretty sure we would.

sury our board must be looking at Montrose as a prime example of what can be done with a bit of patience and making the right appointment. Montrose plan was clear today. Play out from the back and press high. A team filled with hard working young players who had a bit about them and a few experienced heads to keep them in check. They never panicked going 1-0 down and stuck with their approach something we can’t do.

when we went 1-0 up it reminded me of Stevie aitken times unfortunately. “We are ahead so let’s just defend this”. Concede and then panic and resort to long balls

Change is imminent hopefully. Otherwise we are fucked

Felt like this at Stair Park but we kept going with him and ended up in League 2 was happy to see him leave.
i can remember saying this and a few of the Dumbarton fans slating me as they felt he would do a job for yous. How wrong the guy is tactically inept, yous will be down by May if there is no change. Or he will spend spend spend in January money thats prob not there

That's the worst we've played in weeks. Really poor game. Hoof ball. Both teams struggled on our rubbish pitch. All u can say it's all to play for on Tuesday. Major technical issues prematch. Sorry about that. Thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown with the pressure of getting the stream online. Does your head in when hardware and software fail. Then I had to film the game with my nerves shot to bits. Thank god I've got out of editing it this week. Load of rubbish that game.

Me me me me me your endless booooyyyy.. get a grip. Every week your on about the filming and if it was ok we will get someone to pat you on the back so you can wag your tail

There unfortunately lies the problem with football, it’s not played out in paper.

I have watched from afar in relation to the Stranraer issue over the past few seasons, and to date I have refrained from comment however, in response to the call for a change of manager I find astonishing. I read throughout last season that the club had sustained something in the region of 50 odd injuries, quite frankly, there is not a team in the land who could mitigate against such a horrendous plight, and further when you accumulate  this fact to that of Stranraer undoubtedly had by some distance the lowest budget in league 1 consistently in previous seasons, is it any wonder eventually the well run dry?

I was actually surprised that following the financial restraints that were publicly well documented a few seasons ago, that Stranraer actually survived as long as they so did in league 1 with the limited resources at their disposal?

As for this season well even at my own club I would suggest, really? Are we actually speculating after 3 league games to sack the manager? from what I have witnessed the Stranraer manager has a habit of fighting against odds heavily weighted against him previously, so if I were a supporter I would get behind the club and I’m sure they may go onto have a decent season

Thank you for your input Faz, we hope you are gone by the end of the weekend or start of the week.
said it last year and got shot down with Sanny McAnespie stats from the vice chairman but a 27% win ratio is not good enough for any manager at any level. Should have been gone long long ago.
If the guy had any ties to the club and fans he would stop putting us through this and walk away but the queens head will keep him there 2 wins in 33 enough is enough

What was it about today’s performance that prompted your ire?

The 4-1 defeat.. the 14th time in a row we have failed to win. But it obviously doesnt prompt you guys in the boardroom to act lets wait till the end of the season and do it. Why not give someone a chance to see what he has to work with and what he could add. But that would be to sensible of a decision for the old pals act

Without having the time to check it out I’d be fairly confident that the records of Neil Hood, Gordon Hamilton and Nobby Clark and possibly Davie Sneddon and John Clark are worse than anything we’ve seen in recent years.

Even if their records aren’t worse there can be no doubt that the “football” that was served up was more often than not... much worse. Or at least it felt like it.

The danger of comparing stats from different eras is that the assume that all the conditions, economics, finances of the club relative to others, league level, etc etc are the same. Which is quite clearly not the case.

Maybe it did feel like it at the time but this season so far 2 wins out of 25 is unacceptable.

Clearly not the case but it is the reality that comparisons will be made and when compared the stats say he has been a poor appointment in my opinion and many others opinions. Unfortunately the powers that be have different ideas and visions for the way forward. I have accepted that League 2 will be our new home but a change is required or it will soon be the Lowland.

The rug was pulled from beneath Fazs feet last season, losing backbone of his team, very poor player budget also ,to keep us up this year would be a success story, a bit of realism needed.

The rug was pulled from his feet last season in losing who exactly??  A very poor player budget but we raved about the players brought in and players kept. The team he has at his disposal is one of experience and not short of quality and one of which he should have done better with, its not the KIDS that he had last season that kept us up. Your right realism is needed time to realise that there are other options available.

Would like to see these stats...we had a lot worse managers in the 80’s and we were further down the league.

If you can find anything that says hes not then point it out please and thanks

  8. HEADING FOR THE BIG 150

2 wins all season, not won away from home since April last year.

Last season it was all about the kids, this season he has an experienced squad and we are still very poor. The man can talk the talk.

Whos to blame? as a fan base are we to accepting of failure? are the committee to naïve? and also to accepting of failure?

We are relegated if you go by the form we have produced all season I cant see us clawing back the points to stay up. Crowds are dwindling due to whats on show, to say the least it has been pretty pathetic. I cant remember the last time I enjoyed a game.

The stats say we have the worst manger in our history of our club yet we still stick by him as if we owe him something time for him to jump or be pushed from the ship and atleast give us a fighting chance next season or we could find ourselves following the same route as BRECHIN.

I can't see anything official, your club website certainly doesn't confirm it. He was completely finished for us a few years back, that's why I'm struggling to believe it's true.

Yeah I know there is nothing official but that is the story that is doing the rounds since it emerged in the paper yday aswell as Joao returning a guy who has turned us down the past 2 summers I wouldn't give him another opportunity.

Did he play in the middle of the park for yous? I am led to believe he is now a striker, I would like to think there were younger, hungrier strikers playing at that level who could do a job and would jump at the chance to go senior.

I do not what folk expect to be honest. With a town that in general doesnt give a feck anymore. Relies on fans who moved away to come back and support them. How are we meant to compete season in season out with those crowds. The benefit is we train in glasgow so can get a good shot at getting players. I find it quite it bizarre how some locals think it would be good if we trained in stranraer. What sort o team would we have. Lower end of lowland league that's what. If we could get a couple of hundred more through the turnstiles we would be fine. Able to compete better. Thanks to the falkirk fans we finally managed a reasonable attendance on Saturday.

Who said about training in Stranraer? Never happen and would never work. Boys from Stranraer also feel as though they would have a given right to play not work hard and prove they are good enough to play which will also hinder some of there progress.

What your complaining about is just a harsh reality of the support that we have but I could just about guarantee if we were winning games you would have more through the gates and also if the price was lowered to reflect whats being played on the park.

I get that everyone will have an opinion on what the see but I dunno where you have come from with that speech, training, crowds, locals... what we have is a good few seasoned pros some of which have returned because the grass wasnt greener and a few KIDS that are learning the game. But dont be fooled by the kids as there arent that many of them in the squad now

  11. I really thought we had a squad capable of avoiding the drop aswell but in actual fact we dont. We have a team made up of decent players on paper but put them on the park and its the opposite. Connor is a good player but he needs time on the ball you dont get that at this level he has good 20min spells where everything goes through him then for the following 70 he is posted missing. I would love to see us back to a 4-4-2 I think you would see a different Stranraer side.

Faz came in after Brian Reid in the Jan and we had a team that had good players that didnt like the manager that was easy for him to turn around, first season we had again a decent squad losing out shining ligts in the January, Wallace Belford and Bell (who wasnt playing well atall) finished the season 5th... last season again we looked a decent team on paper but we huffed and puffed all season long until the loan signings hit form in Ali McCann and Innes Cameron. This season has been poor so far to say the least. As for ginge and budgets at Stranraer I might be wrong but when he took over from knoxy his budget would have been less than what it is now And the following season after that his budget might have increased when we had Rangers in the league but that I am unsure of. But I would have him back in a heartbeat. Football that we seen under him was always exciting and if we conceded 3 you always knew we would score 2 or 3 maybe even 4.

  12. Grant Anderson has improved since leaving, Issac Layne has again improved since leaving as has Aggie, McGuigan, Tom Lang another who was deemed surplus but while we were shipping goals with Captain Fantastic at centre half Tam was allowed to move on and got a better move for himself.

So to say Faz has done an excellent job I am sceptical. Yes he has kept us up but Brechin and Stenny were poor last year tbf I dont know how we scraped by. Games against Dumbarton, Peterhead and Clyde I would have expected some sort of return but to have zero and concede 11 goals and score 3 is pretty pathetic and the buck stops with the manager. 2 seasons running now we have started overloaded with defenders and zero strikers so it probably tells its own story why we cant score. Mark Stewart is a good player but ineffective as a lone striker. I struggle to see how we move away from the drop zone I think it will be very difficult with the current manager but he has 20 months to run on his two year deal so I am all aboard the league 2 express...

First time at Stranraer, tidy wee ground. Very comfortable only downside was our finishing.
Question for the Stranraer fans, has the big ginger number 15 who came on in the second half ever played football before? Several stages beyond awful.

Robert Jones, we signed him as an amateur hes only young and we are trying to make him better honest...... absolutely awful. He has played for BSC, Albion Rovers and East Fife and they all punted him so it was only fair that we gave him a go for when the going gets tough and we need a target man for the ball to bounce off.
