  1. Should take the focus of the impatient fans off Gauld now anyway. Let's hope they both have a great season
  2. What is the point of you even posting when it's mainly involves a tirade of abuse towards anyone holding a different viewpoint. Supose its easy to hide behind a keyboard and act the big man.
  3. As we are in the EU currently more of the same way things have been run or heading towards over the last however many years. Actually I feel part of something being within the eu/uk and have no desire to change unless someone provides a proper breakdown of the benefits. The bandwagon I've noticed recently is the snp hive making europe a big priority when the only thing that's changed is using it as a vehicle to further sturgeons political empire.
  4. Don't know what is more ridiculous. Quoting that statistic or calling someone else a clown.
  5. Scotland won't be running its own affairs or have full control of its destiny because if it isn't Westminster then Brussels will be pulling the strings. That certainly isn't the independence you speak of. How can you accuse Westminster of mismanaging the economy when the UK is around the sixth biggest in the world. For a small island is that not punching above its weight?
  6. Surely a no vote would mean more of the same and that outcome was fairly clear.
  7. Really. Would you automatically back a side who has shifted the goalposts to further their own cause and denied your ideal outcome in the process?
  8. Should indyref2 not get a different name seeing as though we would be switching bed partner rather than standing on our own two feet? What about the effect on the vote of the true independence voters who wish Scotland to go it completely alone?
  9. So will this newly educated bunch be able to understand GERS figures then? Actually I think older people will be replaced with similar who realise in the grand scheme of things the standard of living in the uk is good, politicians are all out for themselves and whilst independence could be a good thing until it's backed up with numbers that stack up then it's a risk too far.
  10. An entire generation written off as they don't hold the same viewpoint as yourself. Dearie me. These old people don't know what they are missing not being able to read wings over Scotland. with hindsight these old people who don't know shit called it bang on with Salmond and his half truths during the referendum.
  11. It also might not have occurred to anyone that older people have had a lot more experience of politicians and see them for exactly what they are. Also older people will have experienced real poverty growing up and didnt have the modern day assistance of foodbanks and benefit top ups.
  12. we can only export what customers want to buy. Currently we are free to do that across UK and EU. Should the other EU countries ditch their current suppliers to come with us then yes. Not sure what the great offering is that Scotland would bring to the table that would rapidly cause them to break current agreements.
  13. From one extreme to the other. Of course we would still trade with RUk. The relationship would be very different though. Even small percentages of the current 60% being lost would be bad news for us.
  14. it doesn't. An independent Scotland in the EU could negotiate with whoever it liked.
  15. Not a certainty by any means. A depression I think is classified as a 10% drop in trade and yet we are willing to risk 60% of our own on a few decisions made for the self interest of politicians.
  16. I must be totally barmy as I dreamt the supermarkets currently ship fish around the world when they could source closer to home. Our UK steel market is in crisis yet i must have imagined the Scottish govt was bringing the stuff all the way from China. Going by your logic how can this steel possibly be cheaper than our own? Yes Europe has benefits but what business anywhere is willing to jeopardise 60% of its current trade? The only reason Europe is suddenly big for the SNP is that it provides them with a route to engineer another referendum.
  17. They don't need to currently as they can source freely from across the whole UK and Europe. After Brexit negotiations do you expect that to carry on as normal? 60% of Scotland's trade is with England yet 60% of England's trade isnt with Scotland so should our relationship change who is going to suffer more? Should Scotland remain in the EU and England leave do you expect that free trade will remain the same? Would England be happy about European companies relocating here to access their market as no borders exist?
  18. Their own farms, factories or wherever else can produce. Are you saying all the goods which head south from Scotland currently do so because the English are unable to make it themselves?
  19. It could do very rapidly. If Scotland were in the EU and England aren't would it be so easy to trade across a border. Would the English be so keen to source from an EU member instead of buying from their own. Could also imagine trade tariffs being created to stop Scotland stealing their business via the back door.
  20. 60% of our trade is with England. Puzzling we would want to jeopardise this to jump in with Europe.
  21. In other words the bridge was never going to be open at the start of January as they promised and other experts highlighted. Fair play in finding a temporary fix which gets the majority of users moving again. Now the heat is off and the spotlight elsewhere let's hope Feburary is the correct date for the hauliers and they don't get hung out to dry as I would imagine some are really struggling through this.
  22. Some article in the record there writing the lad off as a dud because he hasn't got anywhere since leaving Scotland and has now reached the milestone of 20 years of age. Suppose he could have stayed in Scotland and grabbed the headlines like Griffiths by scoring in the spl each week only to look like a patsy when playing non pub teams in Europe.
  23. Closer to home some Syrian related trouble at London underground station. Bbc seem to have more pressing matters to report.
  24. Beath looked rotten earlier in season but coming into form. Rovers are very solid and would be in an even better position but for struggling to score goals. Peterhead were a decent price earlier considering Stranraer have a four hour plus journey getting there.
  25. Burnout and taking a week off don't really affect things as the computers have removed the intensity. Most of the starting odds are taken from betfair and then positioned so they never lose. Unlike a few years ago traders don't actually need to know their sport/area inside out unless it's things like the Olympics or big brother. Graduates who can work a pc, follow procedures and require less wages are slowly replacing the old school.
